On the night of Christmas Eve, a young 19-year-old Junichi wakes up to the sound of a loud bang coming from the kitchen. Living alone in the city of Yokohama, Junichi is a high school student who works part-time at a ramen restaurant as a waiter to make ends meet. He was orphaned at the age of 14 when both his parents died in a car accident, and ever since, his uncle and aunt have supported him. However, as he crossed his 18th birthday, he started living in Yokohama alone and attended a high school there.
Junichi grabbed a stick that was lying in his bedroom closet and slowly made his way downstairs, cautiously. As he approached the kitchen, he found a man rummaging through his fridge. Confused as to whether he should approach the man or not, Junichi finally gathered the strength and shouted out, "Hey! Who the fuck are you, and What are you doing in my house!"
Before Junichi could understand anything, the man turned towards him, and he felt a growing pain in his chest. As he looked down, he saw a knife sticking out and blood spilling all over the floor. Junichi's vision slowly started getting blurry as he gradually collapsed to the floor. As his life was passing away, Junichi could hear the words of the man, "I'm sorry dude, I'm just a homeless guy looking for food, you startled me!"
Junichi, realizing he was dying soon, smirked at the man, saying his final words, "No worries, have all the food you like, it's no use to me anymore anyway…" Soon after, Junichi's lifeless body was lying there on the kitchen floor.
However, moments later, Junichi opened his eyes and could see a bright light in front of him. "So, it's finally my turn to have my own Isekai story. I wonder what powers I will get?", saying this, Junichi slowly moved towards the light. But there was something wrong, as much as he moved towards the light, it seemed to get further. Frustrated a bit, Junichi stopped- "What the fuck is going on? Am I getting Isekai'd or not?"
Junichi could only hear a faint angelic voice, soothingly near his right ear. As he tried to listen carefully, the voice whispered, "Fuck off!" and Junichi could almost feel the ground disappear below his feet. All of a sudden, Junichi is falling into a dark abyss that seems to have no end to it. As he was falling, he saw three buttons appearing in front of him, labelled- "Press me", "Don't even try", and "Whatever, do as you wish". Without much thought, Junichi pressed the "Press me" button.
After a while of falling, which felt like an eternity, Junichi fell to the ground. As he stood up, he took in the surroundings around him. It was like a dark and dreadful tunnel with a glowing red light in the far distance. With not much of a choice, Junichi started approaching the light. After walking for a while, Junichi notices a woman crouching in a fetal position.
"Hey ma'am, are you okay?"
"I don't know, you seem like a nice man, would you help me?", the woman said in a gentle tone
"Yes, of course."
As Junichi helped the woman to her feet, he felt a tingling pain in his chest again. As he looked down, he saw a knife sticking out of his chest. Junichi just looked up at the woman and asked, "Why?" The woman smiled at him and said "Just for fun, I guess" As Junichi collapsed to the floor, he just let out a cry "What the fuck is this story?"
