Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: Reborn in Another World, Cultivating from the Womb

The Final Breakthrough

At this point in the breakthrough, there was no turning back. It was either success or death.

Li Yuanhao summoned the last traces of vitality in his body. Xiantian Gong surged once again, launching a final charge toward the ultimate goal.

His skin rapidly turned red, his whole body resembling a boiled prawn. The delicate capillaries beneath his skin burst one after another under the immense pressure.

"Boom!"

Li Yuanhao heard a thunderous roar. He wasn't sure whether it came from deep within his consciousness or his physical body. But he could distinctly feel it—he had broken through.

His spirit had undergone a true transformation—more powerful, more refined.

Though his eyes remained shut, he could still perceive everything around him—clearer than with sight alone.

Success and Failure

And yet, he had also failed.

His body had completely collapsed during the process. He could no longer control it.

The world he lived in lacked the spiritual energy necessary to sustain such a breakthrough. This land was unfit for stepping into the extraordinary.

Still, looking back on his life, he felt no regret.

Li Yuanhao let his consciousness expand outward, wanting to take one last look at the world before he passed.

The Jade Pendant Awakens

But at that moment, an unexpected change occurred.

The jade pendant that had hung around his neck since birth—the one his grandfather gave him—suddenly lit up with dazzling brilliance, as though it had been awakened.

Before he could react, Li Yuanhao's consciousness was sucked into the jade pendant, and with a flash, it cut through space and disappeared.

Rebirth as a Fetus

It was impossible to tell how much time had passed.

When Li Yuanhao regained awareness, he found himself in a warm and chaotic environment.

Carefully reaching out with his mind, he discovered, to his shock, that he had become an unborn fetus, still growing inside his mother's womb.

"Did I reincarnate? But why haven't I forgotten anything from my past life?" Li Yuanhao was baffled.

"Maybe it's because of that pendant…"

The Mystery of the Pendant

He knew little about the pendant's origin. His grandfather once said it had been passed down from an old master of their Daoist temple.

After Li Yuanhao was born, as the only heir of the Li family, his grandfather placed this most precious treasure around his neck.

Li Yuanhao now suspected the jade pendant was a true immortal artifact—its powers merely hidden due to the world's lack of spiritual energy. Only when his soul underwent transformation did it awaken.

Now, the pendant floated silently within the depths of his consciousness.

He still didn't understand the full extent of its powers. The only thing he knew for sure was that it could transcend space and time, bringing him to a brand-new world.

Spiritual Power and Language

His spiritual power had also grown significantly—whether due to the pendant's nurturing or the effects of time travel, he couldn't be sure. Either way, his spirit now carried a pure and mysterious energy, stronger than anything he'd ever experienced.

Though his spirit had once ascended during his failed Dan Jin breakthrough, it was nothing compared to now.

He tried to communicate with the pendant using his mind, but there was no response. After several attempts, he gave up, deciding to revisit the matter later.

Li Yuanhao could clearly tell this world was not Earth. He could feel an unfamiliar, powerful force emanating from his mother's body.

It was so immense that even in his prime, at the peak of Huajin, he wouldn't have stood a chance against it.

Perhaps only after truly reaching Dan Jin could he hope to hold his own for a few moves.

"It seems this is a world of mystical powers—perhaps one filled with danger too."

Yet Li Yuanhao felt no fear. Instead, he was filled with excitement.

Cultivating in the Womb

This life, he would embark on a new path to power—and nothing in heaven or earth would hold him back.

Life as a child was destined to be dull—especially as a fetus in the womb. Fortunately, Li Yuanhao discovered that he could still cultivate Xiantian Gong.

Perhaps it was because he had practiced it across two lifetimes, or maybe his current fetal state was especially suited for it.

Regardless, after a short time, the technique became instinctual. It ran on its own, even while he slept, constantly nourishing and strengthening him.

Occasionally, when he extended his spiritual sense beyond his body, he could hear his mother speaking with others.

Her voice was gentle and soothing. Servants often waited on her, suggesting his new family was of high status.

He also heard the voices of children from time to time.

The language was completely unfamiliar—it wasn't from any culture he had known before.

Knowing that understanding this world was essential to survival, Li Yuanhao began consciously studying the language—even though he hadn't yet been born.

Luckily, his spirit was now far stronger than before.

Combined with his scholarly background and experience learning multiple languages for reading medical journals, deciphering the new tongue wasn't difficult.

In just over a month, he could fully understand the conversations around him.

And as time passed, his cultivation continued to improve.

His inner energy steadily increased, and his spiritual power grew stronger by the day.

With sharper perception, he became more attuned to his surroundings.

Family and Anticipation

"Mother, when will baby brother be born?" asked a mischievous young boy.

He must be one of Li Yuanhao's new brothers.

Beside him stood an older boy, calm and composed, also watching their mother with anticipation.

So, in this life, he had two older brothers.

"In about five more months," his mother replied gently, stroking the younger boy's hair. "Be patient, Yun'er."

Li Yuanhao hadn't expected to need five more months before birth.

Clearly, the gestation period for humans in this world was much longer than on Earth.

Just then, a towering man approached his mother.

He had a commanding presence, his beard bristling, and he stood two heads taller than her.

"Sarina! I'm back from the military camp! Let me see my baby boy!" That must be his father.

Li Yuanhao didn't hear from him often—maybe once every ten days or so.

"Shoo, shoo! Don't be so rough! You'll hurt the baby," his mother scolded, clearly annoyed by her husband's enthusiasm.
