Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Mū vs Madara Uchiha

"Be quiet. There is no such thing as an alliance between Konoha and Iwagakure! From this moment on, the Hokage's words are null and void!"

A cold, arrogant voice rang out.

Madara Uchiha stood with his arms folded, looking down at Mū and Onoki from above.

Mū froze for a second. Where am I?

The next moment, a torrent of memories surged through his mind—the memories of another soul fusing seamlessly with his own. Within moments, he had fully absorbed them.

"So that's how it is... the world we lived in is just a manga..."

He was Mū, the Second Tsuchikage in the Naruto world, the enigmatic bandaged man, the first mummy-like figure in the shinobi world. This was the moment when he visited Konoha and was eventually overpowered by Madara Uchiha. He had just finished speaking with Hashirama Senju, and as he prepared to leave, Madara had appeared out of nowhere, blocking his path without warning. Now, that same scene was playing out again.

This battle had once carved a lasting scar into both his and Onoki's memories and now he was reliving it.

"Why... why? Hashirama-sama clearly gave us his word... what right do you have to overrule it?!"

Onoki shouted, his voice hoarse and furious, bloodshot eyes locked onto Madara as he strained his neck to glare up at him.

"Hmph!"

Madara sneered. A flicker of disdain tugged at the corners of his lips. The image of Hashirama flashed through his mind, fueling the simmering anger in his chest.

"Something like this, and Hashirama didn't even bother to consult me? Am I just supposed to be ignored completely?"

Madara glared at the Rock duo.

"There is no such thing as an alliance. Don't think I can't see through the petty schemes of small villages like yours. Small shinobi villages should just obediently bow to Konoha's strength!"

He narrowed his eyes.

"And one more thing. Don't ever mention that man's name in front of me again!"

Madara's expression turned icy as he suddenly activated his Mangekyo Sharingan. A crushing wave of chakra burst forth, surging toward Mū and Onoki like an unstoppable tidal force.

"What?!"

Onoki's pupils widened in shock. Panic twisted across his face.

Madara's Susanoo roared to life, and in the blink of an eye, the skeletal frame erupted from the earth.

First stage Susanoo.

"So strong...!"

Beneath the layers of his bandages, Mū's expression subtly changed.

So this... is Madara Uchiha...

Everything aligned perfectly with the memories he now carried.

The sheer weight of Madara's chakra made the very air feel oppressive. Under that intense pressure, Mū's body involuntarily bent forward, the crushing force making it nearly impossible to stay upright.

A heavy sense of humiliation began to rise within his chest.

His thoughts spun chaotically.

Was he really going to let history repeat itself? Was he going to grit his teeth and endure it, just like before? Let Madara walk all over him again and leave a scar in his student's heart that would never fade?

He too was a great figure in the shinobi world. He too had once stood at the summit of strength, feared and respected across nations. And yet now, his student was being crushed, his village trampled, their pride shattered by overwhelming force. As a teacher and the one who had helped shape the future leader of Iwagakure, could he really allow this to continue? Could he just watch in silence and endure?

No. Absolutely not.

He would never kneel in quiet submission. It was better to fall in battle than to live burdened by regret.

Mū's heart blazed with indignation. The fear that had clouded his eyes vanished in an instant, replaced by a firm, unwavering determination.

Ahead of him, Onoki's face twisted in pain as he dropped to one knee.

"So... strong... it's just so hopeless."

He was kneeling. And only now did he fully grasp the vast distance between his power and Madara's. So that was the size of the gap. The pressure radiating from Madara wasn't just stronger than his own—it even surpassed that of his teacher, Mū.

"Damn it...!"

Onoki clenched his teeth, but no matter how hard he tried, his body trembled beyond his control. In his hand, the stone that symbolized the Will of Stone slipped from his grip. As it tumbled through the air—

Pa!

A bandaged hand reached out and caught it.

Onoki's eyes widened as he lifted his gaze sharply.

"Take it! Onoki, don't abandon your will!"

Mū's bandaged face appeared before him, his tone firm yet gentle.

"Don't be afraid. Your teacher is here."

He drew in a steady breath, then placed a reassuring hand on Onoki's shoulder, his eyes locked onto his student's.

"Sensei...!"

A sudden sense of calm washed over Onoki's heart. The terror began to fade.

At that moment, Mū's chakra surged like a flood, rising up to shield Onoki from Madara's suffocating presence.

"It's easy to lose yourself when failure strikes. To justify weakness. To let hatred take the place of resolve."

Mū's voice rang aloud.

"Listen to me, Onoki. Your will—do not surrender it. Don't give up on it. Hold on to your conviction. Even if you're standing before the Shura of the shinobi world, you must not yield! Steadfast and unshaken. That is the Will of Stone that defines Iwagakure!"

As those words rang out, Onoki was stunned into silence.

The Will of Fire had not yet been born into the shinobi world, but the words Mū spoke just now etched themselves into Onoki's heart. They stirred something deep inside him.

"Sensei!!"

Tears spilled down Onoki's cheeks like a broken floodgate. His vision blurred as he clenched the stone tightly in his palm, trembling with emotion.

"As long as I'm here, you don't have to be afraid. Let your teacher handle this. Step back."

Mū took a slow step forward, his body now shielding Onoki completely. His gaze sharpened with each breath as he met Madara Uchiha's eyes without hesitation.

"You shouldn't pick on a child over something so petty."

He then pointed his finger at the Shura of Shinobi World.

"Madara Uchiha, fight me instead!"

Mū's voice was steady. As he walked forward, each step caused his aura to grow stronger and heavier.

With every pace, his chakra swelled until it towered sky-high, shaking the very air. The stones on the ground trembled, lifting into the air under the sheer force of his rising chakra.

He rose steadily until he was level with Madara, standing tall with unwavering resolve.

There is an old saying. When Susanoo wraps around the Great Buddha, two men can lay waste to four nations.

Then today, for his village, for his student, for his pride, and more than anything, for his responsibility as a teacher, Mū will face Madara Uchiha. Susanoo may be sharp, but his Dust Release is no less lethal. If Madara can withstand it without dodging, then Mū will truly acknowledge Madara's strength.

Fear is a human instinct, but courage is its greatest anthem.

"Sensei... I…"

Tears streamed down Onoki's face as he stared at his teacher's back. In this moment, even if Mū could not match Madara Uchiha in sheer power, in Onoki's heart, Mū stood higher than anyone else.

He was a true pillar. A warrior greater than Madara himself.

Who says Iwagakure has no Great Emperor?

Mū's eyes stayed locked on Madara. Sweat gathered in his palm, but he gripped it firmly without hesitation.

"Is this sweat? No... it's rain."

A moment later, a soft drizzle began falling from the sky, cold and steady.

Madara let out a low chuckle. A faint glimmer of respect flickered in his eyes.

A man like this deserved to be recognized, even by Madara Uchiha.

"Interesting~. Knowing you are weaker, yet still daring to draw your blade at me. Before you die, I want to ask you. Are you not afraid of death?"

His voice was calm, but it carried a chilling sharpness.

Mū looked straight at him and spoke slowly.

"When the strong are angry, they raise their blade against those even stronger. When the weak are angry, they lash out at those weaker than themselves."

"Such arrogance. Are you calling me weak?"

Madara's eyes darkened.

"No. Do not take it personally."

Mū's tone remained steady, unmoved by the threat in Madara's voice.

A heavy pressure suddenly swept the air.

Madara's gaze turned sharper. He had yet to see this man's true strength, but already, his words cut deeper than most jutsu.

Step by step, the air grew tense.

"Do not think clever words can win a battle. Real victory comes from power. If you insist on dying here, I will fulfill your wish. Now, witness the might of the Uchiha. This is Madara Uchiha. The power of a Shura!"

The scarlet glow in Madara's Mangekyō Sharingan began to spin, slow and deadly, radiating an overwhelming force.
