I seemed to be surrounded by a completely new view as I opened my eyes, there were also people like me around. Some were quite different and some were ordinary like me. They looked like game characters.
"Hey! You... Johnson!?" One of the game character looking person spoke to me.
Johnson? No, I'm not Johnson...
"I'm not-" I tried to deny it but before I could-
The red haired punk looking like guy punched me straight in the face and my nose bone was broken as my nose bled.
"...Why did you punch me?" I laid on the ground as I asked.
"You look and talk like the guy that stole my ex!" He angrily spoke.
How is that supposed to be my fault?...
Luckily, another one of these game character looking like person came to the rescue.
"Stop! Ragna, what are you even doing right now?!" A guy spoke. He also looked like a game character with his strange red hair.
What's this? They like red hair too much... Although they're different shades of red. Anyways, his name is Ragna, huh?...
"Don't get involved in this, Laris. He's pissing me off by reminding me of that Johnson!" He said with an angry look.
Laris, Ragna... Why do they look like game characters?
I got up slowly and asked carefully, "Why do you guys like red hair so much?"... Ouch, my nose still hurts...
Laris replied calmly, "... we've turned into game characters that we created in Yellow Fantasy."
Ragna was still rashing out as he said, "See?! That guy speaks like that Johnson who stole my Relina!"
...anyways, they had turned into game characters, huh? So they could be considered players and the ordinary people like me are non-players. Uh, I just killed my character but let's not talk about that...
Anyways, I wonder if the items and ablities they had from playing the game remained?
"Does that mean you still have the ablities and items from playing the game?..." I asked curiously.
Laris replied first, "Yes, but unfortunately, we were low level players..."
Low level players, huh?... I wonder how the top players are doing in this world...
Laris finally calmed Ragna down as he seemed to shut up. He didn't apologize to me for breaking my nose though...
Then they left after Laris said sorry for his friend, and said that he can be "unreasonable" sometimes so please forgive him...
To be honest, I don't really understand why some people are so obsessed with their lovers... But how exactly did a guy that looks and talks like me steal someone's girlfriend? Something must be wrong here, right?
Ah, right... That system ended up disappearing after the black out... Even though they said they would always be here. That's why you never trust the word "always"...
...my nose still hurts. Who even is Johnson or Relina anyways?
I looked around as everyone was chatting with each others... They were probably discussing about what to do now. Since the system still hasn't appeared for some reasons... What should I do?
I don't feel like communicating with anyone else right now. My broken nose has put me in a bad mood...
Sigh... In any cases, this doesn't look like the mountain spawn point of the game. Instead, we're surrounded by a forest and we're at a campsite right now.
'Isn't this too convenient to be here?' I thought as I looked at the tents that were around. Maybe it was an item from some other players...
Is this a first tutorial mission for people to get past? And then we probably gets a system after?... maybe but it's no longer a game....
Nobody else approached me for the next 10 minutes as I walked and looked around the camp. I also tried to explore a bit of the forest but it felt too eerily. I have an intuition that something terrible is lurking in there...
I think it's more accurate to say it is definitely dangerous rather than just an intuition. I don't think this is a normal starting point either.
Does this place has something to do with the system disappearing?
The sun started to set as I spent time looking around and memorizing the surroundings. Like places I could run away to if something happened...
Then it finally turned night as all people went inside the tents, luckily, people weren't hostile to each others as we needed to work together. We're now in a new world, after all.
There was exactly 47 players. I hope that number probably means people were sent here on random and not that it's been arranged by some kind of deity or so... I also hope the number 47 doesn't mean there's 3 missing people.
There was no pillows and it seems like the tents came from the highest level player here. I don't know what level they are at since you can't see other's levels... And it'd be quite awkward to just ask.
I mean, I'm pretty awkward at approaching others...
There was 3 tents in total, and there was about 17 people inside this tent. The other 40 being in the other 2.
...I looked at the cold ground and the people sleeping on it as I thought to myself, 'I'm definitely not falling asleep here.' like no way. I'm not sleeping with strangers!
The tents were all each big enough for at least 20 people to stay inside... Somewhat. I guess the highest level player had some convenient tools for camping?
Also, the fact that there's a huge empty space surrounded by the forest isn't normal. Right?
"Something isn't normal..." I muttered, feeling paranoid of everything.
Even so, everyone else was sleeping soundly. And hours started to pass...
