Chapter 1 - How It All Started

"Hey... Mom? I got a book." I arrived home. "What? Don't tell me you used your pocket money to buy a book again." She complained. "No. Not this time. I haven't used it. I said 'got', not 'bought'. Anyways, I got a book from this old lady." I replied. "You trusted her? Sweetie, what did I tell you before? You can't trust strangers. Especially an elderly woman living on the streets. I know that's judging, but sometimes, it's good to make judgments. What was she like?" She asked. "Mom, it's okay. She seems kind. It's free anyway." I answered. My mom looked offended. "Rosemary Anderson! You can't just make compliments by... 'seem'!" She yelled. "Mother, you told me it's okay to make judgments, but now we can't make compliments?!" I asked furiously. "By 'seem'. She added, because I was right. "Mother, I'm going to my room," I told my mother. "For what?" She asked me, now looking confused. "I've finished school. I'm going to shower. I'll have dinner after, okay? Then, I will study and do homework. After that, go to bed!" I told her. "Are you sure you aren't going to read that stupid book?" She asked. I shook my head. "Are you lying?" She asked again. "It's not a stupid book, mother.-But no. I won't read it. I promise." "Okay then. I'll trust you." She ended the conversation. Actually, no, I did. I nodded. She shouldn't have trusted me, and I should have listened to my mother. LIFE LESSON: ALWAYS LISTEN TO MOTHERS. THEY ARE ALWAYS RIGHT. Maybe not. But most times... It's going to get interesting, but before we get into the interesting part, I will introduce myself.

The name's Rosemary Anderson. I'm sixteen. I have a part-time job on Thursdays and weekends. The reason I chose these days, Thursdays, a special and enjoyable day at school. I have school for five hours, but on Thursdays, it's only four. So I have an hour to catch up with work. Weekends, you'll know, because I'm free. With my hard-earned money (100 pounds annually, because I'm a Starbucks worker), I use my money to buy books. I LOVE BOOKS! Mystery, fantasy, anything. Today, I plan to finish the book the old lady gave me. Yes, I lied. Okay, don't tell her... Oh well, it's no use. By the time you try to tell her.... Doesn't matter. No spoilers. Let's begin now.

At night, I finished the book in a world where people lived happily with mythical creatures and people. That's how it ALL started
