Chapter 2 - The Appearance

Chapter Two – The Appearance

"What is this?! How could someone leave a small child in such a miserable state?!"

That was the first voice unknown heard as his awareness began to form.

The voice of a man shouting, filled with surprise, anger, and fear.

unknown slowly opened his eyes.

Everything was blurry, overlapping, as if the world was new to him.

The first face he saw… was that of a worried man, leaning over him, trying to wake him up.

From the perspective of Uncle – Ibrahim:

My name is Ibrahim, in my forties.

I live alone, with no family, no past worth mentioning.

I worked at a small company, returning every evening on foot, walking a path lined with trees.

That evening, as usual, I was thinking about dinner.

Should I eat instant noodles, or order something?

But what I saw then… changed everything.

A child.

Around ten years old, lying by the side of the road, covered with a ragged blanket, and beside him—a strange stone with a metallic texture.

His body was covered in bruises, as if he had been beaten savagely.

And yet… passersby walked right past him without noticing.

As if his body didn't exist.

I ran to him, called out:

"What is this?! How could someone leave a small child in such a miserable state?!!!"

– "Wake up! Can you hear me?!"

He suddenly opened his eyes.

And for a brief moment…

I saw something in them.

An inhuman look, as if it came from a deep, unexplained place—an intent that should not exist within a child.

Then… his expression returned to normal.

Confused. Afraid. As if nothing had happened.

I called the ambulance, and we waited.

During that time, I tried to ask:

– "What's your na:{©°✓$-]{¥]

Something strange happened to the fabric of reality around me, and I couldn't even finish the question.

It was as if something had forbidden it, something that must never be spoken.

Then suddenly,

I looked at him… and understood the name without it being spoken.

" (Unknown)"

The ambulance arrived.

Investigators came and asked me:

– "What happened?"

I answered simply:

– "I saw an injured child, so I called you."

I didn't tell them what I saw in his eyes.

I don't know why… I just felt that what I saw should never be mentioned.

When the investigation ended, they told me I could leave.

So I asked them about the child's condition. They told me:

"He's been in a coma since we found him with you."

As I was about to leave, I remembered what had happened when I asked for the boy's name.

So I asked them again, almost unconsciously:

– "What's his name?"

The investigator answered plainly:

– "unknown."

A chill ran through me, though I didn't show it. I asked:

– "How? Doesn't he need an official name?"

The investigator responded as if I'd said something silly:

– "What's the problem? His name is unknown. It's normal."

That's when I felt fear… no—I was filled with fear.

How…

How could "unknown" be a normal name?

How did no one feel anything strange about it?

But wait… something's off.

They said he was in a coma—so how did they know his name?

Or no… not even a name—a label. "unknown" isn't a name. It's a description of this child.

So I had a thought.

I asked them about his family. They said:

– "We searched all databases.

Picture? Nothing.

DNA match? Nothing.

Record? Doesn't exist.

It's like the child was never born in this world at all."*

Then he added:

– *"The only possible explanation?

That he's the illegitimate son of an illegitimate child… someone no one ever registered.

A chain of the forgotten—completely outside the system."*

At that moment, I realized something truly strange:

No family.

No records.

Even in a coma… everyone knows him as Majhool, without even thinking there's anything odd about it.

As if identifying him as Majhool was the most logical thing in the world.

That was when I understood something.

This child… or rather, this being—is not ordinary.

He is the beginning of something… no one will ever understand
