Chapter 1 - Chapter 1

The breath of early spring still lingered in the air—a gentle breeze played with the pines that blanketed

the slopes of the Clear Sky Clan. On a small training ground near the mountainside, a young boy

practiced hand movements with focused determination. He was only six, yet there was already resolve

in his eyes.

His name was Tang Tian.

He was short but sturdily built for his age. Light punches struck a wooden post one after another. The

movements weren't yet perfect, but there was tenacity in them.

"Tang Tian," came a familiar voice from behind.

The boy turned and saw his grandfather—the Seventh Elder of the Clear Sky Clan. Though he had just

turned fifty, he looked strong, with short dark hair, a small beard, and a steel-like gaze. His clothes were

simple but neat, his shoulders broad, his posture straight. He looked more like a seasoned warrior than

an elder.

"You're training again, even though I told you to rest today," the grandfather said with a slight smile,

folding his arms across his chest.

"I want to be strong... like you," Tang Tian looked up, eyes shining. "And tomorrow is the awakening!

What if my spirit is weak? I need to be ready!"

The elder stepped closer, crouched down to be level with the boy, and placed a hand on his shoulder.

"Listen. Awakening isn't a battle. Your body and spirit must be fresh. True strength isn't just in the

muscles, but in a calm heart. Tomorrow you take your first step on this path, and I want you to take it

with confidence."

"Do you believe I'll have a strong spirit?" Tang Tian asked quietly, a hint of doubt in his voice.

The elder looked at his grandson intently, seriously.

"You're my grandson. The blood of the Clear Sky flows in your veins. Don't doubt—just move forward."

For a moment, silence hung between them. Then the elder stood and extended his hand.

"Come. Dinner, wash, and early to bed. Tomorrow is a big day."

Tang Tian glanced once more at the wooden post, sighed, and took his grandfather's hand. They walked

back toward their family home, while the first stars began to appear in the sky.

The Seventh Elder's house was modest but clean and cozy. Wooden walls held in the warmth, and the

fire crackled softly in the hearth, casting a gentle light across the floor. Tang Tian, dressed in a

nightshirt, sat at the edge of his wooden bed wrapped in a wool blanket.

The lantern's light cast his small shadow on the wall—small, yet there was something deeper, more

mature in it. The boy silently stared into the fire, thoughtfully clenching and unclenching his fingers.

"I keep coming back to that thought…"

"I'm... no longer on Earth," he whispered almost inaudibly.

Something clenched inside him at that realization. Vivid memories—blurry, but still alive. The city.

School. A phone in his hand. Evenings spent watching anime. He remembered—it was during one of

those evenings he started watching Douluo Dalu.

"Tang San… Xiao Wu… Spirit Hall…"

His eyes widened slightly.

"I'm in that world. A world where people awaken martial spirits. Where powerful titled Douluo can

destroy mountains... And I'm in the Clear Sky Clan. The grandson of the Seventh Elder."

He suddenly sat up straighter.

The boy clenched his fists. His small body trembled with excitement, but his eyes burned with fire.

"If I've ended up here, then I won't live this life in vain… I'll become stronger than Tang San! I'll become a

new pillar of the clan!" he whispered with a determination rare for a six-year-old.

Suddenly, the door opened—his grandfather stood at the threshold, holding a clay bowl of warm milk.

"You're still awake?" he asked with a soft smile full of care.

Tang Tian quickly composed himself.

"Just about to sleep, Grandpa."

The elder nodded and set the bowl on the table.

"Drink. It'll help you sleep better. Tomorrow is important. Your first step toward the future."

"I'm ready," Tang Tian said quietly but firmly.

The Seventh Elder looked at his grandson carefully. There was a maturity in his eyes he didn't quite

understand. But he only nodded silently and left.

Tang Tian sat in the half-dark, staring at the ceiling.

"I know this world. And I won't let myself be wasted. Tomorrow, it all begins."

The dawn had only just begun painting the sky in soft orange hues when Tang Tian and his grandfather

stepped outside. The Clear Sky Mountains were still shrouded in morning mist, but the clan was already

bustling—attendants clearing paths, young disciples rushing after mentors, and the air thick with

anticipation.

The boy walked beside his grandfather, fists clenched, heart beating faster than usual.

"Nervous?" the grandfather asked with a slight smile.

"No…" He paused, then admitted, "Well, a little."

The Seventh Elder, expression unchanged, patted the boy on the head.

"That's normal. But remember: no matter what your spirit is—it's yours. And how you use it is up to

you."

They finally entered the Great Hall of Awakening. A spacious, round building with high columns

supporting a massive dome. At its center—a large stone circle engraved with the clan's symbols. Around

the perimeter, children of about Tang Tian's age had already gathered—some excited, some scared,

others trying to hide their nerves like him.

Seated on a raised platform in a semi-circle were the Seven Elders of the Clear Sky Clan. All wore dark

blue robes embroidered with silver clouds. Tang Tian's grandfather climbed the steps and took his place

—the seat of the Seventh Elder. He gave a short nod to his grandson, and the boy responded with a

slight bow of his head.

At the center sat the Clan Leader, Tang Xiao. His gaze was calm, almost indifferent, but a fire burned

behind his eyes—a fire that could not be hidden. He said nothing, merely observed.

Suddenly, from behind a curtain on the right side of the hall, a tall man in black stepped out, a soul

emblem embroidered on his chest. His long dark-blond hair was tied back with a leather cord, his

expression stern and focused.

"Disciples of the Clear Sky Clan," he announced, sweeping his gaze over the crowd. His voice was firm

and commanding. "My name is Tang Yunfei. I am a 74th-rank Soul Saint. Today I will be conducting the

awakening ritual for your martial spirits."

His eyes scanned the children, pausing on a few. When they landed briefly on Tang Tian, the boy felt a

chill run down his spine. This man was strong. His power filled the very air.

"The procedure will be done one at a time. Each child will come to the center, I will place my hand on

their shoulder and guide my soul power to awaken their spirit. After that, we will measure your innate

soul power. First—Tang Hao'er!"

Tang Tian exhaled in relief—he wouldn't be first. But his heart still pounded—his turn was coming.

One by one, children stepped into the circle. Some didn't awaken anything; others awakened the Clear

Sky Hammer, but their innate spirit power ranged from level 3 to 6. Tension filled the hall—everyone

was waiting for something great.

"Next—Tang Tian," the voice rang out.

The six-year-old stepped into the stone circle. His breathing faltered slightly, but he stood tall. Before

him stood Tang Yunfei—tall, stern, confident. His hand fell on the boy's shoulder.

"Relax. And trust in your spirit," he said.

In the next moment, soul power flowed into Tang Tian's body—warm, gentle, but immense. At first, it

spread throughout his body but quickly focused in his eyes.

He felt something expand in his mind—as if a deeper perception was awakening. His eyes lit up from

within, and he opened them wide.

The world changed.

He saw the tiniest details—the smallest dust motes floating in the beams of light, the faint tremble of

energy in the air, the auras around people. Everything became incredibly clear.

But suddenly—the power surged again.

Into his right hand.

"What..?"

His hand trembled on its own. Something was awakening inside it. Tang Tian sensed—a second wave of

soul power, just as strong as the first.

But... he held it back.

He clenched his right hand into a fist—hard, almost painfully.

"No. Not yet…"

"His eyes… look!" someone in the hall exclaimed.

"They're... golden!" one of the elders whispered in awe.

Tang Tian's eyes were glowing gold. A stir swept through the hall.

Tang Yunfei stepped back slightly, removing his hand, and announced loudly:

"Martial spirit—Eyes."

Several elders exchanged glances.

Next, Tang Tian placed his hands on the crystal to determine his spirit power. It flared with a dazzling

light. Silence returned.

"Innate spirit power… level 10," Tang Yunfei declared clearly.

Surprise flickered across many faces. Such occurrences were rare.

Then the Clan Leader, Tang Xiao, stood and said coldly:

"Pity… that it wasn't the Clear Sky Hammer."

At that moment, the Seventh Elder stood abruptly, his gaze firm as steel.

"True strength is not always what we expect. My grandson is a genius. His spirit is a gift. And he will

amaze you all."

The Clan Leader said nothing, only lowered his gaze. The elder stepped down and nodded to Tang Tian.

"Come," he said simply.

They began walking toward the exit. But at the threshold, Tang Tian glanced back at the hall and let his

gaze linger on his right hand.

He clenched it again—not with tension, but with joy.

"I have… twin martial spirits…"

His lips curved into a subtle, confident smile.
