I stood up,the emotions flowing through me were not excitement,not nervousness not confusion like you'd expect,it was anger,pride,revenge and a feeling of accomplishment. I waited for this,to be in power and take down every single one of them who had hurt me. I heard applause expload behind me as I walked forward to the podium. "Kneel,all of you",said the priest,everyone did as the priest said after which he blessed us.
"These are your new prefects,and I expect maximum cooperation from all of you",he said. He didn't really need to say that,because I know all of us standing on that podium won't be taking any disrespect lightly. "You're all dismissed",the principal said.
As I walked away from the podium,I felt pride coarsing through my body,I was ready for this,I thought. My buddies came over to hug and congratulate me and so did those vile motherfuckers with a fake smile plastered on their faces. I wanted to smack them but I knew I have a better way to do that. My revenge,I was planning it and I knew I was putting my all into it.
We all proceeded to the class and soon after,the teacher walked in and began teaching not before congratulating us tho.
During lunch, my squad and I sat together. Yes,just like any other queen B and clique you see in movies,I was that queen B and I knew it. I knew a lot of people were clawing at my spot but I don't mind them one bit,try being beautiful, elegant,social,rich and brainy all at once. Am I narsicist? Maybe. I ate my lunch as I observed the things around me,perks of being the head squad is getting the best meal. Don't get me wrong,my school doesn't offer crappy cafeteria foods,how could they? My school was the most elite school out there,rich men all over the world try their best to get their children in here but even that doesn't guarantee you a spot,meaning the kids in this school right now,were kids whose parents were on top of the pinnacle of power. So our bougee parents will scream and bring down the school if they ever serve us crappy foods. But the elite students foods were still the best foods,we have to be treated right. We were the richest of the rich after all.
I knew anyone would kill to be in our circle but what's the fun in making it easy for people to join? My best friend,Vee still hadn't resumed, she's still on a yatch somewhere partying her ass away. Gosh,I miss that bitch,I thought as I wished she was here.
Then,I saw my ex,Simon,coming over to sit at the table,my table. Fuck!! I hate that boy,what he did to me last summer,I wasn't going to let that go. I stared daggers at him as he approached the table but before he could get to us,Dylan,Isaac and Caine stood up,blocking his path. He looked up and stared at them,then at me and I glared at him,then he walked away. That was a reminder that he's not welcome at the table anymore. What guts he has,he cheated on me with a bitch I called a friend and he still thinks his ass belongs at my table? A delusional motherfucker.
Dylan looked over at me and asked if I was fine,I nodded and continued eating my food. That idiot wasn't going to get me riled up,I dumped his ass last summer. Just then, Samantha walked up to the table, Dylan's girlfriend and my friend atleast one of the ones that didn't betray me. They hugged and kissed and couldn't get their hands off each other,I rolled my eyes and said "you guys make me sick to my stomach","it's not my fault you don't have a man baby" Samantha said,"ouch,that hurts",I replied as we laughed. "Having no man is better than a cheating man",I said,"word",she said as she snapped her fingers after which she pointed and nodded in agreement at me. "Dylan,you're my homeboy but if you cheat on her,your ass is getting whooped", I said while looking at Dylan. "Hey,how did my name end up in this conversation",Dylan said while we all laughed. Anita walked in with Brittany both hugging their boyfriends,Isaac and Caine while apologising for coming late for lunch. This table looks like a couple's meet up right now,can you guys try not to gobble eachother up for once? I said. "Where the fuck is Lucas anyway?",I asked. "He's probably somewhere with girls fawning over him,being the male school head must be getting him more attention,my boy is making me proud",Isaac said as I rolled my eyes,"as if he wasn't getting enough attention before this" They all laughed as we all had our meal.
The classes were manageable today I thought as the school bell rang signifying the end of the school day but I knew I wasn't going anywhere yet. Every year,the prefects organise a party to welcome the new freshmen to the school and this year wasn't going to be different,it was going to be bigger and better because I won't be caught dead hosting a boring party. So,I have things to discuss with the prefects. I hate that I'll have to see Dana's face again,the bitch Simon cheated on me with. Just as we moved to the conference room,I ran into her and Simon and I ignored their existence,they're not worth my time. I won't give them the luxury of a reaction.
The meeting started as soon as I walked in,"hello,everyone. As you all know,we need a theme for the freshmen party that we'll be organising. Any ideas?". The meeting soon ended as we finally concluded on a theme and I gave everyone something to prepare and handle for the party. Of course,I gave Dana and Simon the most petty tasks but no major ones,I was ready to make them work while still making it seem like they didn't do much. They can fail as a couple together.
