Chapter 1: The Sinner of the Slayer
The night sky split open with a flash of violet lightning, revealing the silhouette of a cloaked figure standing atop the ruins of an ancient temple. Behind his sharp, glowing eyes burned vengeance… and guilt long buried.
Raihan — once a revered exorcist — now a wanted fugitive. Once hailed as the Slayer of Darkness, now whispered only as The Sinner.
"How many demons must I slay… before the world forgives me for a sin I didn't commit?" he muttered, raising his spear, which radiated a dark, draconic aura.
Below him, dozens of shadow creatures roared, craving blood. Yet none dared to approach. The sheer killing intent that emanated from Raihan was enough to paralyze even the boldest.
"Dragon spirit… grant me strength," he whispered.
Suddenly, from above the clouds, a spectral dragon wrapped in violet energy coiled through the sky. It descended, encircling Raihan's body before merging with him in a blinding flash of light.
BOOM!
In a blink, the shadow creatures were torn apart by a single sweep of his spear. Purple flames surged outward, consuming the sacred ground that had once been protected by humans.
Before Raihan could even catch his breath, footsteps echoed behind him.
"So, this is what you've become, Raihan," said a voice — one he knew all too well.
He turned.
There stood Aqil, his old friend. Now clad in the white robes of a holy exorcist, the emblem of light glinting from his chest. Their eyes locked — wounded by memories of the past.
"If you've come to kill me… then finish it now," Raihan said coldly.
Aqil didn't answer. But his right hand slowly reached for the sword on his back.
The battle between past and truth was about to begin.
