The Rajvansh palace stood resplendent, like a newly wedded bride draped in finery. Each corner of the palace gleamed, adorned with intricate garlands of marigold and jasmine that cascaded from towering arches.
Silver and gold drapes hung gracefully from the walls, their shimmering threads catching the morning sunlight, casting a soft glow across the marble floors. The palace was breathtaking—its beauty a testament to centuries of royal legacy and tradition.
Inside, the high ceilings bore clusters of ornate chandeliers, polished to perfection, bathing the hall in a warm, golden glow.
Walls were adorned with tapestries depicting scenes of valorous Rajvansh ancestors, honoring the dynasty's storied history.
Rangolis in vibrant hues of saffron, emerald, and ruby welcomed guests at the entrance with a radiant splash of color.
Outside, the palace courtyard echoed with the sounds of traditional musicians, their flutes and drums creating a melody that resonated through the air, marking the coronation with a festive, reverent spirit.
Chitransh's mother, Anuradha moved gracefully through the grand hall, her sari of royal blue and gold trailing elegantly as she inspected each detail. Her gaze was sharp, softened only by the pride that shone in her eyes.
Beside her devyani, wore a crimson sari that matched the deep emotion in her heart.
Both women were consumed by the need to ensure perfection for this monumental day, yet beneath their diligent movements lay a river of emotions.
Anuradha and Divyani were in the heart of it all, briskly moving from one part of the palace to another, ensuring every detail was perfect.
"Divyani, just look at this,"
Anuradha remarked, pausing to touch the intricate lace drapes lining the grand staircase.
"Aaj kitni shaan hai iss mahal ki... it's like a dream. "
Divyani's eyes sparkled
" Haan, Anuradha didi . Itni khoobsurati toh bas Chitransh ke rajtilak ke liye hi sochi thi humne. He's going to look like a true Maharaja."
Anuradha took a deep breath, holding back the tears that threatened to spill.
"Kya tumhein yaad hai, jab chitransh chhota tha, we used to dream about this day. But now that it's here... it feels unreal."
"Mera Chitransh aaj raja banne ja raha hai, Devyani,"
Anuradha murmured, a tremor in her voice.
"Jaise kal ki baat ho, jab woh meri godh mein khelta tha."
" Haa didi, sab yaad hai, Bahut khushi ka din hai, ajj "
Devyani replied, her voice soft with emotion as she straightened a garland of flowers nearby.
"Divyani, those flowers by the entrance,"
Anuradha pointed out.
"Maine kaha tha unko aur vibrant honi chahiye. Jaake dekho, please. They should make a statement the moment anyone walks in."
Divyani nodded, already walking toward the entrance.
"Yes, yes, didi. I'll make sure they're exactly as you want. We can't have anything looking dull on such a big day."
she gestured to one of the attendants to adjust the decor on the nearby pillars.
"Aur woh royal emblem – uska placement correct hai na?"
"Yes, yes, that's all set,"
Anuradha confirmed, barely missing a beat as she looked at another arrangement in progress.
As the two women stood side by side, watching the servants arrange the final touches, their hearts swelled with joy and sorrow, love and pride, all mingling in one beautiful, bittersweet moment.
They watched as the lanterns lining the entrance pillars glowed in harmony, their light casting a soft glow on the magnificent throne that would soon bear chitransh Aryaveer singh rajvansh as king.
With that, the two women gave each other a quick nod before turning to their tasks again, moving swiftly to finalize every detail, ensuring that Chitransh's coronation would go down in the palace's history as a day of grandeur and perfection.
🌸
The office was buzzing, but I was in my own world, sitting back in my chair, flipping through notes for the upcoming meeting. Lost in thought, I barely noticed Shubham stroll in until he cleared his throat with a grin plastered on his face.
"Yaar, today's the big day," he started, a proud gleam in his eyes.
"Tumhare rajtilak ka din aa gaya, and honestly, I'm so damn proud of you."
I smirked, shaking my head at his over-the-top enthusiasm.
"It's just another event, Shubham,"
I said, keeping my tone casual. Though, I couldn't deny the slight thrill that ran through me at the thought of tonight.
He leaned closer, a sly smile forming as he added,
"More than an event, bhai. Rajvansh ki legacy ka leader banna, that's no small deal. And now it's also time for you to think about shaadi. You get what I'm saying?"
The mention of marriage caught me off guard, dragging up memories I'd tried to bury.
My mind spiraled back to those hauntingly beautiful black eyes I had seen four years ago. No matter how hard I tried to shake it off, thoughts of her consumed me. Why couldn't I find her??
I had the resources, the connections, and the will to do anything in the world, yet tracking down that mysterious girl remained impossible.
Every time I thought of her, it felt like a cruel joke, an obsession that wouldn't let go.
The idea of marrying someone else felt like a betrayal to that phantom, a reminder that I was still searching for someone who had slipped through my fingers.
Shubham didn't miss my reaction. He rolled his eyes dramatically.
"Oh no, don't tell me you're thinking about that black-eyed mystery girl again. Bhool jao, bhai! She's just a fantasy. Life's too short to wait around for someone you may never find."
I just smiled, letting the corners of my mouth curl into an evil grin.
"Maybe,"
I replied slowly, savoring the thought of that memory, the way it teased me.
"But some things are worth waiting for."
Shubham threw up his hands, exasperated.
"You and your intense dialogues,"
he muttered.
"Fine, fine. But just focus on today, okay? You've got enough on your plate without adding a mystery woman to the mix. Let's go over the meeting agenda. It's only the future Maharaja of Jaipur we're talking about."
I laughed, nodding as I slid the meeting documents over to him. "Alright, alright. Let's get to work."
We quickly went through the agenda, analyzing strategies and upcoming projects. As usual, I got into my zone, focused on every detail. The work demanded precision, and I enjoyed every moment of it.
Then, just as we wrapped up, my phone buzzed on the desk.
Ma.
The name flashed on the screen, and I could already hear her voice in my head. Bracing myself, I picked up.
"Chitransh! Tum abhi tak wahan office mein ho?"
she began, her tone laced with annoyance.kept my voice calm.
"Ma, just finishing up a meeting. I'll be there soon."
"Meeting? Tumhe pata hai aaj kitna important din hai! Tumhare rajtilak par sab tumhara intezaar kar rahe hain, aur tum office mein ho?"
Her frustration was crystal clear.I could picture her perfectly, frowning, her hands likely placed firmly on her hips.
slightly, I replied,
"Ma, thodi der aur, bas. Sab ready hai wahan, na?"
"Ready toh sab hai, lekin tumhare bina woh sab adhura hai," she retorted, not missing a beat.
"Tum bas yahan aajao aur aur koi baat nahi."
"Alright, Ma,"
I said, doing my best to keep my tone reassuring.
"Leaving now."
As soon as I ended the call, Shubham let out a laugh.
"Looks like Jaipur's future Maharaja just got a royal scolding from the real boss."
I chuckled, grabbing my coat. "Rajvansh ke asli boss Ma hi hain, aur yeh baat sab jaante hain. Chalo, let's head out. Wouldn't want to keep Jaipur waiting."
With Shubham beside me, I strode out of the office, mind shifting gears to what lay ahead.
🌸
I stood in front of the mirror, adjusting the royal attire that hugged my frame perfectly.
The intricate embroidery glimmered under the soft light, a testament to the significance of the day. My heart raced with a mix of anticipation and responsibility; today, I was to be crowned the Maharaja of Rajvansh.
As I straightened my collar, the door creaked open, and my mother, Anuradha, entered. She was dressed in a stunning saree, her eyes sparkling with a blend of pride and emotion.
"Chitransh," she began, her voice soft yet filled with authority, "you look every bit the king you are about to become."
I turned to face her, a genuine smile breaking through my focused demeanor. "Thank you, Ma. Just doing my part."
She stepped closer, her gaze searching mine as if trying to read my thoughts. "I've watched you grow into the man you are today, and I couldn't be prouder. You're not just my son; you're the hope for our people, the legacy of the Rajvansh family."
I felt the weight of her words, but I also felt a surge of determination.
"Everything is going to be fine, Ma. I promise to make you proud with my work. I will do everything I can for our family and our people."
She reached out, placing a hand on my shoulder, her touch grounding me. "Just remember, you carry not just our name but the hopes and dreams of many. Lead with integrity and honor."
"I will, Ma," I assured her, my voice steady. "Today is just the beginning."
With that, we shared a brief smile before she turned to lead the way out of my room. As we stepped into the grand hallway, the sounds of celebration grew louder, a symphony of voices and laughter. I could feel the energy in the air, a mix of excitement and expectation.
After the coronation ceremony, where I had felt the weight of a crown settle upon my head, I was finally ready to mingle. The palace was filled with dignitaries and friends, everyone eager to congratulate me. I moved through the crowd, exchanging pleasantries, but my mind was still swirling with the gravity of the day.
Just then, my mother approached me with a beaming smile. "Chitransh, come here. I want to introduce you to someone special."
I followed her through the throng of guests until we reach near a
woman standing gracefully in a red and gold saree. I recognized her immediately—Shruti, the wife of one of our royal advisors and a dear friend of my mother. Her presence radiated warmth, and beside her stood her daughter Meera and son Amrit, both looking polished and poised at twenty-one.
"Shruti, meet my son, Chitransh Aryaveer Singh Rajvansh," my mother announced proudly. "He's just been crowned Maharaja."
"Congratulations, Hukum Sa,"
She said, her voice smooth and inviting.
"Your mother has shared so many wonderful stories about you. Today, you truly shine."
"Thank you, Aunty," I replied, keeping my tone formal. I glanced at Meera and Amrit, who were watching me with a mix of admiration and curiosity.
My mother tilted her head slightly, studying Shruti.
"Where is your eldest daughter, Alankrita? I haven't seen her yet."
At the mention of that name, a jolt shot through me. Alankrita. It was the first time I had ever heard it, yet something in my heart stirred at the sound.
Oh, she's… she's on her way," Shruti finally replied, her tone a bit cautious. "She had some last-minute preparations to handle."
Just then, my best friend Shubham called out to me from behind, his voice cutting through the hum of conversation. "Chitransh! Over here!"
Everyone turned to look, and I felt my heart race. My breath caught in my throat as I faced Shubham, but I was unprepared for what happened next. Alankrita's name lingered in the air, and suddenly, all eyes were on the door as a stunning figure stepped inside—a woman with striking black eyes that drew me in like a moth to a flame.
It was her. The very girl I had searched for, the one who had haunted my dreams. Without even realizing it, I began moving toward her, drawn by an invisible force.
The crowd parted instinctively, all eyes on me, shock rippling through them as I crossed the distance between us.
As I approached her, a whirlwind of emotions surged within me. My feelings were beyond my control; they surged like a tide I couldn't resist. The only thought echoing in my mind was, I found her. I finally found her after four long years.
People were staring at me, their expressions a mix of shock and confusion, but I cared little for their judgment. Nothing mattered in that moment except the intoxicating presence of the woman who had haunted my dreams. It felt as if the entire world had faded into the background, leaving just the two of us in sharp focus.
I was drawn to her, as if an invisible thread connected us, pulling me closer with each step. I had spent years searching for her, the girl with the captivating black eyes, and now she was right in front of me.
As I drew nearer to her, a fleeting thought crossed my mind: Why am I going toward her? I felt utterly out of control, pulled by an invisible force I couldn't comprehend. The realization struck me with a jolt—what I did next would shock me to the core......
