Fu Ming Wei gave Ning Wei a look over the moment she entered the room. His expression darkened slightly the moment he saw Ning Wei with Wu Lian Jie.
He shot Ning Wei with a worried look. Seeing Ning Wei flash an easygoing smile, the man finally heaved a breath of relief.
There were quite a few people who knew Ning Wei's identity and Fu Ming Shi happened to be one of them.

"You said that you have something to discuss with us," Ai Lun continued.
Earlier, Fu Ming Shi announced that they would be joining a variety show. It seemed that the company planned to arrange a few other activities with them.
"It's like this." Fu Ming Shi cleared his throat. "DAWN has been doing well these days. The company wanted to know if you guys are interested in any solo project."
Ding Chuan stood up straight. "Solo project? Brother Fu, what does that mean? Is the company planning to disband our group?"
Hearing Ding Chuan's words, the others exchanged a worried look. They were doing so well. They did not want to think about disbanding.
Fu Ming Shu chuckled. "Relax. It's not like that. I just wanted to know if you guys are interested in trying a different field. For example, acting or modeling."
The boys finally relaxed the moment they heard Fu Ming Shi's explanation.
Ning Wei sat quietly as she listened to her group members' discussions. She was not that interested in getting into a different field.
Ning Wei had her own intentions when she decided to join the entertainment industry. Coincidentally, she had good looks and a good voice. As long as she could get popular with her voice for a bit, Ning Wei did not care about anything else.
"Ning Wei, what about you?" Fu Ming Shi asked, noticing that his talent had been quiet for a long time. "Are you not interested in anything else?"
"I haven't thought about it," Ning Wei said. "Let me try that variety show first. I'll tell you later once I've decided on something."
The group continued to chat and drink for a bit. The thought that the company had their attention on them made them excited.
Seeing that it was getting late, Fu Ming Shi suggested that everyone head back first.
Ding Chuan, Wu Lian Jie, and Ai Lun traveled on their own to the club. Before everyone left, Fu Ming Shi did not forget to remind everyone to be careful on the road and don't get into trouble.
Ning Wei waved as she watched the others leave. When she turned around, Ning Wei found that Fu Ming Shi was looking at her.
"What?"
"Are you sure you don't want to participate in anything?" Fu Ming Shi asked. "Everyone had their ideas. But you don't want to try anything else?"
Ning Wei chuckled. "Brother Fu, it's rare to see you get this enthusiastic about my work."
In her memory, Fu Ming Shi was very reluctant to assign her to a job, mostly because he was worried about Ning Wei's secret. For Fu Ming Shi, it was better to keep Ning Wei hidden.
"I don't want to, but the higher-ups wanted to push you up." His eyes narrowed as Fu Ming Shi recalled that Ning Wei was becoming popular due to her looks.
"Brother Fu, other than my voice, I don't know if I'm good at anything else," Ning Wei said. "I'm not interested in acting."
"How about modeling?" Fu Ming Shi asked.
"Do you think I would be good at that?"
Fu Ming Shi gave Ning Wei a lookover. "It's just standing around and posing for a bit. With your good looks, it should not be a problem."
Ning Wei shrugged. "As long as I don't have to take off my shirt, I don't mind."
Fu Ming Shi coughed a few times. His eyes fell on Ning Wei's chest area as he recalled Ning Wei's gender.
"Brother Fu, don't look at me." Ning Wei shifted her body as if to block her chest from Fu Ming Shi's eyes.
"I'll discuss with the higher-ups first." He stood up from the sofa and glanced at Ning Wei again. "I'm going to the restroom and settle the bills first." He wanted to ask if Ning Wei wanted to go with him. But then, asking Ning Wei to go to the restroom with him sounded inappropriate.
"I know." Ning Wei waved her hand. "Brother Fu, go ahead. I'll wait for you in the lobby."
The room turned to silence once Fu Ming Shi left.
Ning Wei took out her phone and stared at the screen for a while. After a long hesitation, she finally sent a text to a number.
