Ryo was lazy by nature.
He didn't like to put in effort and didn't mind if the days passed by without meaning. On that ordinary day, he had only stepped out to grab something to eat. He never expected it to be his last.
Suddenly, a truck came speeding out of nowhere and struck him mercilessly.
In that brief moment, just before he closed his eyes forever, he whispered in his heart:
> "I wish… I'd never get hurt again. I don't want to feel pain ever again. I wish to be born in a body that knows no suffering."
Silence followed.
Then—
A voice echoed, unforgettable and calm:
> "Wish granted."

Ryo awoke in a strange place.
His head felt heavy.
When he opened his eyes, he saw a woman speaking with a loud, formal tone:
> "Your Majesty, the prince has been born."
A large man entered, his very presence telling you he was the king. Behind him came a girl holding a glowing orb. She asked Ryo to place his hand on it.
Nothing happened.
The orb didn't light up.
Ryo had no magic affinity.
The king, unfazed, ordered for a different orb—one for talents and skills. Maybe Ryo had a special gift.
But no…
Only one skill appeared: Shapeshifting.
His mother looked at him in disgust. No one cared. They cast him away into a forbidden forest, hoping he would die there.
But Ryo, knowing all of this, didn't care.
He simply decided to explore the forest.

Back at the palace, the girl who had been assigned to observe Ryo stood over the two orbs he'd touched.
Suddenly, both orbs cracked—shattered without warning.
Shocked, she whispered:
> "Impossible… Impossible!"
She ran to the king and declared:
> "Ryo isn't weak. He's too powerful—so powerful that the systems and devices we rely on can't even measure his level or identify his abilities."

In the forest, Ryo wandered aimlessly, unaware of what was happening behind the scenes.
But then—
A screen appeared before him.
A system screen. One he strangely recognized.
It displayed his status, his power.
But the truth was clear:
He had only one skill.
Shapeshifting.
Ryo looked at the screen, visibly annoyed.
