Chapter 10 - Nikolai Dusk

The video spread like a wildfire. Netizens changed their opinions rapidly as they saw the truth behind the video. Some people even apologized to Leo, saying that they were too quick to judge.

"Who knew that Leo was actually the one saving someone from the bullies?" one of the comments said.

"I apologize for the atrocities I said. I will support Leo in the future!" another netizen wrote.

"I knew Leo wasn't that kind of person," one of the loyal fans commented.

"Who in the world posted that viral video? That person should be ashamed of himself for not getting the facts straight."

As good comments kept cramming the newly posted video, the bully who sent the viral video bit his nails nervously. He wanted revenge for what happened in high school. He waited for this moment for a long time just to get back his dignity. Where the hell did he even get that video? He made sure to collect all the videos.

Within a few hours, the Choi family paid off all their debt and established their entertainment company once again. With Leo's name cleared, they aimed to do better than before.

A week later, Leo started working again with many acting offers. Valentin also invested in the dramas that he was starring in. In a short time, Star Entertainment rose to the top again.

[Congratulations! You have proven that Leo Kim is innocent.

Reward: Death escape (1 time use)]

Valentin didn't like the reward. It sounded as if something dangerous would happen in the future. Dangerous enough to threaten his life. Well, it was better than nothing, at least the system was protecting him and giving him a hint.

As usual, Valentin was cooking dinner in the kitchen before Seojin returned from school.

"Hyung, I'm back," Seojin called as he entered through the doorsteps of the penthouse.

"Welcome back! Dinner is almost ready," Valentin replied.

"I brought a classmate back," Seojin continued.

Valentin rushed out of the kitchen to greet the guest. It was the first time Seojin brought someone back from school. Even Ji-a didn't come to visit. It must be a good friend of Seojin's.

"Hello, thank you for having me," a pink-haired boy said. He was as small as Seojin.

Valentin's smile died down as he saw the pink-haired boy.

'Shit, what is he doing here?' he thought.

He quickly readjusted his expression and welcomed the boy in. However, it was too late; the boy seemed to have caught on.

"Sir, do you know me perhaps?" the small boy asked while smiling. It was their first time meeting, but it seemed like the man knew what his real identity was. He found it interesting/.

"Of course not. Seojin, take care of your friend and come to eat when you are hungry," Valentin replied.

Seojin politely showed Nikolai, the new transferred student in his class, around the house. Valentin returned to the kitchen, finishing the cooking.

Nikolai Dusk was the leader of the Assassin Organization. He was only 19 years old, but he was the most skilled amongst the organization. At a young age, he had already murdered countless people. He must have infiltrated the school and approached Seojin. It must be for the two assassin members he lost. Luckily, Cassian wasn't on duty today. Or else, there would have been a bloodbath, since Cassian escaped the organization without authorization.

What if he killed Seojin right now? Valentin shook his head. Nikolai wouldn't kill someone without a reason. He killed for money. He wouldn't kill someone in front of a judge with a high status.

Nikolai came down first and stared at the food on the table. He then walked to the living room where Valentin was sitting on the sofa, waiting for the boys. From afar, Valentin seemed hard to approach and had a scary aura. Nikolai thought that it was weird. From the reports, Valentin was known to be a cowardly person. But from his actions so far, he didn't seem to fear offending high-status people.

Seeing that Seojin hasn't come down yet, Nikolai grabbed this chance to approach the judge. He slipped behind him and grabbed the man by the throat. Valentin didn't even flinch and asked, "What do you think you are doing?"

His red eyes peered through Nikolai, angry that he was trying to do something dangerous in his house. Nikolai shivered in excitement. It had been a long time since someone looked at him without fear. Even his subordinates were scared of him. It seemed like the judge wasn't as clean as he thought. He must have his share of torturing other people.

Nikolai loosened his grip, but there was still a red mark around Valentin's neck.

"I don't care what you are doing, but if you dare to hurt Seojin, you are dead," Valentin threatened.

"So you do know who I am," Nikolai insisted.

Valentin rolled his eyes and replied, "No, I don't, stop asking. It was just weird for Seojin to bring back someone he only knew for a day."

Seeing that Valentin didn't want to admit it, Nikolai stopped asking. He was certain that Valentin knew him from his cautious expression. But from where? He had never seen him before.

Standing on the stairs, Seojin could see what had happened. He never suspected Nikolai of having bad intentions towards them. He stared coldly at the pink-haired boy and at the red mark he left on Valentin's neck. From their conversation, he could guess that Nikolai was related to the two other assassins who murdered his parents. He never imagined that a boy his age would be an assassin.

He smiled darkly. If the boy was going to play with him, he wouldn't mind playing with him, too. If he were lucky, maybe he could find out who Nikolai is.

After eating dinner, Seojin accompanied Nikolai to the door.

"Can I come back again sometimes?" Nikolai asked.

'Please, don't come back,' Valentin thought. He didn't want to deal with a crazy child like him again.

"Of course," Seojin replied while forcing a smile.

Nikolai finally left. As Valentin was about to head to his room, Seojin asked, "Hyung, who is he? He's not just a normal classmate, is he?"

Valentin sighed and decided to tell him the truth. There was no use hiding something from the male lead. Knowing him, he would do something careless just to find out Nikolai's true identity.

"He's the leader of an assassination group. Don't get too close to him, he's dangerous," Valentin said.

Seojin expected him to be an assassin, but not the leader of an organization. That means that he also played a part in the murder of his parents. There was no way he was going to let Nikolai alone. He was going to approach him, acting like an innocent puppy. Nikolai won't know what hit him.

Seeing the dangerous darkness in Seojin's blue eyes, Valentin signed in desperation. He knew the kid wouldn't let it go that easily. Well, as long as he doesn't get hurt. He will always be here to help him in the dark.
