"A Charlotte? Away from Tottoland and not on a conquest mission? Preposterous!" The ones in charge of assigning the bounties were arguing over the information given to them by Captain Fullbody, who was being demoted for dereliction of duty and misuse of funds.
"Fullbody's report was quite clear. One of the men at the restaurant questioned this Straw Hat Luffy about the Yonko Big Mom and he openly called her 'baa-chan' and had apparently referred to several of her kids with affectionate titles." Another of the agents was pointing that part out as he glanced at the others while tapping Fullbody's report.
"So she has a grandchild on the loose in the East Blue of all places." Another growled out knowing how bad that could be for the balance of everything.
"That's unfortunately not all." Another of the members said grimacing at having to be the one to point this out.
"Oh no….what else is there?" The youngest of them sighed heavily at that.
"Well he seems to be the son of Red Hair as well, openly calling him 'Papa Shanks' when speaking with Hawk Eye…and…he's on good terms with Kaido since he called the man Uncle and was given a present from him." The other said grimacing again and everyone blanched at this. A child of Big Mom procreating with Red Hair and somehow being on good friendly terms with Kaido? What the fuck!?
"Not to mention how the boy called Mihawk 'Uncle Hawky' of all things and got away with it while sparring with the man and turning down his training to become the next Greatest Swordsman." The first man said burying his face in his hands as he considered all of this. They were all silent for a moment as they considered how this looked and seemed.
The grandchild of Big Mom, the son of Shanks, the somehow nephew of Hawkeye Mihawk and Strongest Beast Kaido. And he was on the loose in East Blue and seemed to be starting his own crew given the report.
"Okay…so if he's the son of Shanks that means that he has to be the child of one of Big Moms daughters right? Which one is most likely his mother?" The youngest asked clearing his throat and the others groaned.
"That woman has so damn many kids and some of their names…" The eldest of the group rubbed his eyes tiredly as he tried to think about who of Big Moms kids could be the mother of the little demon spawn.
"Well Fullbody's report says he called three people by the title of Mama. 'Ama' and 'Branch' are likely nicknames for two of the other women in the Charlotte crew but the one that seems both the most dangerous as well as the lease likely would be the third one. Smoothie." One of them pointed out and everyone froze at that. Smoothie. The Sweet Commander. Big Mom's only daughter to be given the title of Sweet Commander.
The youngest Sweet Commander who had a bounty of 932,000,000 which was higher than most of the crews and just behind the second eldest son 'Dogtooth' Katakuri and Big Mom herself.
If she was the one who procreated with Red Haired Shanks…
Her bounty was 932,000,000 and his was 4,048,900,000. They were both considered to be monsters compared to most people in the world. Utterly impossible to be defeated and barely able to be touched even by some of the strongest in the Marines.
If they had a child, a child that apparently didn't have his mothers long legs but definitely had her curly hair and some of her other features….a child who seemed to be an even mix of the two of them…and could already spar with Mihawk and be taken seriously by the Worlds Greatest Swordsman.
A child who grew up in Tottoland and could get away with calling Big Mom something other than Mama like all her subjects and crew did.
A child who was now loose and wild in the East Blue likely going to throw the world into utter chaos and anarchy.
Honestly the group of five men didn't even think of trying to figure out who the other two possible mothers of the child would be. It was already horrifying enough thinking of him being the son of Red Hair and the son of Smoothie. They didn't want to give themselves heart attacks. And of course they completely forgot about the part of the report on how he had referred to two Charlotte men as his papas.
If they had pieced together or thought of him calling Dogtooth and Perospero his papas then they might have realized that there was something wrong with the family picture that they had come up with. As it was they didn't piece it together or think of it.
They also didn't realize that the ages didn't really line up. Smoothie was only 33 after all and yet Straw Hat Luffy was 17. If Smoothie got pregnant and had a child his age she would have only been about sixteen when she gave birth.
Then again even if they had noticed that fact they would have merely waved it off as inconsequential. After all she was a pirate, and a daughter to the woman who had the most kids in the world. She'd be far from the only one in her family to have a child at a young age.
"He needs to be taken out before he can grow to maturity and possibly become stronger than either of his parents or his grandmother." The youngest of the men said and he was pale as he thought of what the hell the son of Smoothie could do, especially if he was trained by the woman or worse trained by his father Red Haired.
"Agreed. But we can't make it seem as if we're desperate to be rid of him either. For some reason he's being allowed to travel freely without a homie or tarte ship. Which means he's definitely already very powerful but also that he's without the protection of his family. If we put too high of a bounty on him then he'd probably get scared and return to Tottoland or his father where no marine can get to him." The eldest said grimacing again at the thought of the young man being hidden away and allowed to grow even stronger where they weren't able to reach him.
"He sparred seriously with Mihawk and it's even said that he injured the man a bit. Sure not gravely and he was hurt worse but he managed to cut Mihawk in a purely sword only duel…and not once was he reported to use one of his guns or his Devil Fruit ability. Which meant he was handicapping himself." Another said with a wince at how much that spoke for the boys strength and training.
If only he was a marine.
"So he's definitely strong enough for at least a 100,000,000 bounty…"
"Yes but if we have the bounty too low then he may feel as if he has to do something drastic to get it higher to make his parents and grandmother proud." Another pointed out and the rest gave grim smiles at that. That was true and a very bad thought. So they had to come up with a bounty that wasn't too high but also not too low.
And the worst part is that the boy hadn't even done anything yet! Sure he had beaten up Morgans but Morgans had been arrogant with a god complex and had killed plenty of Marines and Civilians that had been under his protection. And sure he had taken out Kuro of a Thousand Plans but he had done that in defense of an island and a boat company heiress.
If it wasn't for Fullbody having been on scene during his spar with Mihawk and therefore the revelation of his lineage then they'd never even suspect the gangly boy of being as big of a threat as he was.
So they had a boy whose worst crimes were taking out some arrogant people in defense of civilians and being born. But he shouldn't have ever been born! He shouldn't be allowed to live! Not as a pirate!
"I think we can settle on a compromise." The eldest of them all said after a few minutes of pondering over whether to give the boy a high bounty with little to no reason behind it or a lower one and hope someone got lucky before the world knew of the danger it was in.
"How about-"
