Chapter 1 - Introduction in Terravell nation!

Chapter 1 – The Soil Beneath Strangers

Haruto Nakasuki had not expected the world to end in the middle of a cold convenience store lunch.

One second, he was chewing microwaved onigiri with half-attention as Aoi Itsuki lectured a circle of equally disillusioned teens on society's collapse in a dusty Hokkaido basement. The next, there was silence. Not the kind of silence that follows a rant—no, this one felt cosmic. Like the universe held its breath… then exhaled through him.

When Haruto opened his eyes, the concrete floor was gone.

Instead, he stood on sun-warmed soil.

Grass, green as jade, swayed against his sneakers. Towering canopies arched overhead—trees unfamiliar, too symmetrical to be wild, too alive to be planted. Distant mountains framed the horizon like watchful gods.

And below that horizon, a city thrived—simple yet surreal.

He wandered down an amber-dirt path into a place that felt uncannily like a modern town, except the details kept breaking logic. Humans—yes, but with amber or hazel eyes, too consistent to be coincidence. Others, unmistakably not human: tall beings with furred ears, tails, slit pupils, clawed hands. Beastkin?

Some walked alone, others in pairs, wearing white shirts and neutral clothing. Most held strange transparent tablets or scrolled through blue-hued maps glowing like holograms. A few stood still near fountains, manipulating blue energy that floated like steam, shaping it into water with nothing but gestures.

Magic?

Haruto stared, captivated.

"This... this is..." He almost whispered it aloud. "Is this the part where I awaken a cheat skill? Meet an elf girl? Get a sword that talks?"

He checked his hands. Still soft, thin, a bit pale from the shut-in life. No glowing sigils, no HUD display. Just sweat and slight trembling.

He was in a new world. Or rather, a new planet.

Not a dream. Not virtual. And definitely not fantasy in the light-novel way.

This place—Yarrow's Nation, if the wooden post signs were any clue—felt real. A living, breathing ecosystem built on rules that only looked like magic but weren't quite.

Haruto swallowed the lump in his throat. He was no hero. Just a lonely NEET from Hokkaido with too many regrets and too much time spent online.

Yet here he was.

And somewhere, deep in this forested, earthy land… a hidden demon watched him.

Yarrow had seen countless new arrivals before. But this one?

This one had questions.

Chapter 2 – The Girl and the Beasts

Haruto wandered past bustling plazas and stone-embedded paths, overwhelmed by the foreign-yet-familiar energy of the city. The sun warmed his back, and strange symbols glowed faintly on nearby buildings—part architecture, part arcane.

Still no sword. Still no system screen.

Just... realness.

Where do I even start...?

That's when he saw her.

A girl—about his age, maybe younger—stood in the middle of a field just outside the urban border. Her hair was a vibrant sky-blue, tied into symmetrical pigtails that swayed like pendulums as she scribbled on a floating clipboard of shimmering light. Her eyes were deep sapphire pools, strangely calm despite the monstrous beasts that surrounded her.

They were huge. Some looked like armored tigers, others like horned wolves cloaked in shadow-fur or smoke. Their eyes glowed faintly, and their growls made the ground tremble. Yet none attacked. None even flinched. They obeyed her.

Haruto hesitated, heart in his throat. But curiosity—and maybe loneliness—overpowered his fear.

"Um… excuse me?" he asked in Japanese, taking a cautious step forward. "Can you… tell me where I am?"

She paused mid-scan, blinking once.

Then, without missing a beat, she replied smoothly:

"Yarrow Province, Western Data Ring. You're in the Observation Yard."

Haruto flinched. Not because of what she said—but because he understood her perfectly.

"Wait... you're speaking... Japanese?"

The girl tilted her head, confused. "No," she said plainly. "You're hearing me in your native tongue. The world auto-translates spoken intent for Travelers."

"...Travelers?" Haruto echoed.

She tapped her clipboard and approached one of the beasts, gently patting its massive snout as she spoke without looking at him.

"This is an Information Civilization zone. We handle observation, management, and regulation of local wildlife—including docile Gigabeasts like these. Data here is everything. You can trace past events, unlock regional maps, even access 'Adventure Mode Settings' if you're a registered Traveler."

Haruto blinked. "Adventure Mode…?"

She finally turned to him. "You're new, huh?"

He nodded sheepishly.

"Then register fast. You'll want to know your survival modifiers before nightfall."

The beast next to her huffed a warm breath of air toward Haruto, who nearly stumbled back.

"W-What's your name?" he asked.

She stared for a moment, expression unreadable. Then:

"Cyan [Ciel]."

Her clipboard beeped. The beasts shifted, then calmly sat around her again.

"Traveler from Hokkaido... Welcome to Nyxus Prime."

Haruto felt a shiver run through him. It wasn't fear this time.

It was the quiet realization that this world—this Mytholoverse—was not built around his fantasy.

It was built like a system.

And he was part of it now.

Adventure Mode Unlocked!

As Haruto stared at the glowing screen Cyan projected from her clipboard, a second interface flickered into view—hovering just above his hand like mist turned to light.

---

> Welcome, Traveler.

> Classification: New Arrival

> Status: Unregistered

Would you like to enable Adventure Mode?

---

Cyan [Ciel] crossed her arms. "It's a commitment. More than just a setting. You either live it or...well, die through it. But the rewards? Worth it—if you're not afraid of burning."

Haruto squinted as the data unfolded, word by word:

---

⚔️ ADVENTURE MODE – OVERVIEW ⚔️

For Travelers seeking high stakes, divine favor, and world-shifting growth.

---

✅ Benefits:

Mysticoin Overload:

Increased gain of Mysticoins, the universal currency tied to energy exchanges, item summoning, and system interactions.

Amplified Encounters:

Unlock access to rarer creatures, mythical phenomena, and world secrets hidden from Regular Travelers.

Beastlink Potential:

Higher odds of forming bonds with Gigabeasts—including elite or intelligent-tier variants. Some may even evolve with you.

Light Awakening Route:

With enough deeds and correct resonance, you may evolve into a Paladin—a legendary path tied to the lost Light Element.

Death Ascension:

Should you perish—either physically or spiritually—your soul has a high probability of transcending to the Heavenly Realm rather than simply ending.

(This ascension could lead to an encounter with the Light Celestial Goddess, though this is exceptionally rare.)

---

⚠️ Cons / Risks:

Systemic Restriction:

Unlike Regular Travelers, you must obey the rules and missions of the Systematic Guide, an autonomous AI-like construct that directs your growth path. Disobedience may lead to penalties or being forcibly ejected into danger zones.

Threat Amplification:

Enemies and biomes dynamically scale with your mode. What is easy for others may become lethal for you.

Magic Scarcity:

While Vita energy is easier to sense and manipulate, true magic spells are exceedingly rare.

Instead, you must make contracts—especially with entities like Yarrow—to obtain geographical, biome-based powers.

These powers are unlisted… and unpredictable.

---

> Are you willing to begin your journey under Adventure Mode?

[ YES ]   [ NO ]

---

Cyan gave him a look—a mix of challenge and genuine curiosity.

"Most newcomers pick Regular Mode. It's safer. Slower.

But the ones who choose Adventure Mode?"

She smirked. "They change the world—or get remembered by the sky."

Haruto's heart pounded. Paladin? Celestial Goddess? Gigabeasts?

It sounded insane.

But what had Earth ever offered him?

He reached toward the floating button.

Cutaway – Eastern Yarrow: The Goblin Quarter

The world cracked without thunder.

One moment, Aoi Itsuki was standing in the back of a dim-lit community hall in Hokkaido, surrounded by anxious, wandering teens and the stale scent of instant noodles. He'd just finished talking about societal decay—his usual quiet sermon to those who had no future carved out for them.

The next moment, silence fell like a god's footstep.

When Aoi opened his eyes, he was no longer in Japan.

A white cloth mask still covered his mouth. His jacket sleeves fluttered in a wind that wasn't Earth's. A single yen coin jingled in his pocket as he stood in a soft field of overgrown moss, beneath a violet sky.

Around him were five others—some familiar faces from his gatherings, others still dazed and retching from the shift. Their phones didn't work. The sky didn't look right. The air felt different—heavy, like every breath was being weighed.

Aoi, ever calm, looked around.

He'd read theories online about multiverse jumps and spiritual translocations. But even those had the courtesy to be metaphorical.

This was real.

Then came the sounds. Voices. Chatter. Not Japanese, but strangely clear in his ears.

Down the slope nearby was a settlement—humble, with huts made of woven vine and dark stone. And walking through the streets were goblins.

Not the mindless monsters from fantasy games, but green-skinned humanoids with intelligent expressions, white or dark hair, and vivid amber eyes. They wore wraps and shoulder-cloaks, and they spoke with each other in sharp, syllabic speech. A few were even reading tablets similar to the ones seen in the urban centers.

Some were shorter, nervous and curious—younglings, maybe.

Others were tall, built stronger with red skin—hobgoblins, tougher-looking but alert.

One stood apart in a training circle, hands glowing.

With a grunt of effort, he conjured a jet of flame in one hand, then doused it instantly with a burst of water from the other. He blinked, surprised, as the steam rose in a spiral.

Aoi narrowed his eyes.

They're studying…

A few goblins turned toward the group of human arrivals—tense, watchful, but not hostile.

Then, from within the village, a lean hobgoblin elder emerged, staff in hand, flanked by younger spell-practicing goblins. He looked Aoi over with suspicion… and mild curiosity.

"You...fell," the elder spoke. His voice sounded aged but wise, like a grandfather forced into war. "From the sky, like the others."

"Others?" Aoi asked.

"Yes. You are not the first."

Behind Aoi, the other teens whispered nervously.

He remained still.

Whatever this place was, he would figure it out. Understand it. Control it, if needed.

And as the goblin conjurer tried again, fire and water colliding in a small explosion of light—

Aoi's gaze didn't move from the elder's eyes.

He finally spoke, calm and cold:

"Tell me everything you know about this world."

Chapter 3 – The Pact of Soil and Breath

Haruto stared at the glowing interface.

> Are you willing to begin your journey under Adventure Mode?

[ YES ]

His finger twitched once… then tapped the light.

A soft chime echoed—so quiet it felt internal, like a string inside his chest had been plucked.

> Adventure Mode Activated. Systematic Guide Engaged. You are now required to follow geographic contract procedures. Proceed to register with Yarrow.

Cyan raised an eyebrow, her clipboard glowing with a new tab.

"You actually clicked yes? You're braver—or more desperate—than you look."

"I guess both," Haruto muttered.

She waved her hand. "Then head to the Grove Altar. It's deeper in the forest, past the breathing stones. Yarrow only speaks to those who've chosen."

---

The woods thickened quickly as Haruto followed a winding path lined with gently pulsing blue flowers. Every so often, the air shimmered like heat waves—but it wasn't heat. It was Vita—and he could feel it. For the first time, actually feel it.

The trees whispered.

The stones hummed.

And then, he heard it: a deep, resonant voice—not in his ears, but in his bones.

> You wish to survive… in my soil?

A clearing opened before him. Roots rose like thrones around a central stone tablet, half-buried in earth. Moss curled around symbols that pulsed in earthy green.

> Then survive by it. Bind to my law, and gain what the world does not give freely.

Haruto stepped forward. His hands trembled, not from fear—but awe.

A glowing signature line appeared on the stone.

> Sign here, Traveler. The Pact with Yarrow is eternal—until you return to dust.

He placed his hand on it.

The earth responded.

---

Unlike traditional "Earth" users from fiction, Haruto realized something vital.

This wasn't about throwing rocks.

It was about understanding the world's structure—and using it to live, shape, and endure.

His fingers brushed a vine. It moved, ever so slightly, toward him.

Not fantasy. Not brute magic.

But reality, rewritten by nature itself.
