He or Devourer to be precise who was known as Elarion van Crimsonveil born as the youngest son of Crimsonveil duchy's head.

His mother disappeared after some time of his birth, he was raised in the duchy, he had talent his body was weak like something inside him was blocking him,he trained and trained till he cough up blood and finally was able to reach 5th stage only at 30.
Which was slightly better than average but considering his immense talent it was disappointing.
He got severally injured but nevertheless he led himself and his comrades through the war against the darkness, all monsters though dangerous never attacked without a reason but from the day on his 31st birthday there form a crack in the balance between human and a realm beyond it where there was only darkness,
anyone who succumb to any negative emotions get devoured by it and turn into a horrifying monster at start only those broken beyond limit were targeted but as if a disease it spreads to every place, only those with strong minded who didn't let it influence them survive and fought.
The first target were weak people with weak mindset easy targets.
Everyone fought for their life abandoning places seeking refugee through the continent and the reason behind this was the people driven by desires and their crooked mind, those who seek power get involve in dark magic which fueled with evil human emotions making a crack in dimensions which could only be closed by killing the person behind or shattering the core of monster made by negative emotions,
they wander with humans like normal people and destroy them in end.
Elarion who fought evil together with his comrades was at the end only stand alone but despite his accomplishments he was executed by his father because he witnessed his true face-
he saw his father whom he admired even though he ignored his existence throughout his life was delving and absorbed in dark magic, noticing Elarion's presence his father turned towards him which led to Elarion recoil in fear as he saw his face , his eyes bleeding turned totally black and his veins were popping out from his neck as he glared at him with those black eyes.
Elarion didn't even notice when he lost consciousness and woke up on the execution platform.
His father had pinned the crime he committed on Elarion and before he could react, his head separated from his body as he watched the figure of the back of his father and the eyes of comrades or adopted brothers from Crimsonveil looking at him with contempt and hate.
That day He died with heart filled with Guilt and regret no other emotions as he closed his eyes and let himself drown in the
everlasting infinite darkness.
He hadn't given up,till his last moment his only wish was not revenge or anything he didn't want to ruin his life again ofcourse if he got the chance he want to live not like someone's hunting dog orpuppet bit as human....
he wants to live happily even if for a day just one
