## Levi's POV
I couldn't stop thinking about Hazel Vance.
Our lunch had been unexpectedly revealing—and not just because of her eyes, which were this incredible shade of green I'd never seen before. No, it was the way she'd handled that arrogant CEO, Sterling, with such quiet dignity. Most women I knew would have caused a scene, thrown water, or completely crumbled under that kind of pressure.
But not Hazel.
I tapped my pen against my desk, smiling as I remembered her cool dismissal of Sterling's possessive claim. The guy had practically pissed on her leg to mark his territory, announcing to everyone that he planned to marry her and adopt her kid. What an asshole.
But his loss was definitely my gain.
My phone buzzed with a message from Kyle.
KYLE: Dude. That chick from lunch? Scarlett's friend? Total smoke show.
I rolled my eyes. Kyle had a way with words.
ME: Her name is Hazel. And yes, she's beautiful.
KYLE: You calling dibs? Because if not...
