## Hazel's POV
I stared at my phone, scrolling through endless photos of other people's happiness while feeling nothing but emptiness inside. Three days had passed since Sebastian walked out of my bedroom—and my life. Three days of pretending I wasn't crumbling.
The doorbell rang, startling me from my misery.
"Coming!" I called, quickly wiping away tears and checking my reflection. The woman staring back looked hollow-eyed and pale. I pinched my cheeks for color.
When I opened the door, Sebastian stood there. My heart stopped.
"You forgot some papers at my place," he said, voice flat. No warmth, no emotion. Just business.
He extended a manila folder, careful not to let our fingers touch.
I blinked rapidly. "You could have sent an assistant."
"I was in the area."
A lie. His office was across town.
