Chapter 2 - Orientation, Here We Come

Kaito woke up in his dorm room, Tae drove him back to the school just an hour before. He was tired, his eyes showed bags, and he looked like he never wanted to get up. He stood out of bed and brushed his teeth, still not ready for the day but here to bear it. Kaito was about to walk out the dorm when Akia stepped Infront of him. "Oh, hey Akia, what are you doing here?" Kaito said. "Well, I'm going to walk with you to orientation." Akia said with a bright smile, shining once again. "Orientation? I thought it was supposed to be yesterday." Kaito said confused. "Yeah, the staff has business to attend yesterday so they cancelled it until now." Aika said. "Now come on were going to be late!" Aika said as she grabbed Kaito's hand and rushed down the corridor that leads to where the orientation is being held.

As Kaito and Aika sat down, the principal stood on the theatre grounds, seeming how this was the only place this could even be held. Her hair was black and straight, and her face looked as she never once smiled. "Hello Rebal Academy students. It is time for orientation, so if all will please be quiet while I speak." She said as her voice got impatient. The whole entire place quieted down in seconds to the principal's voice. "All of you students are here either because you are troubled, entitled, or just downright horrible, but we are here to fix that." The principal carried it out. "Now as all of you know, most of you if not all have powers, and I will explain them." She said as she adjusted her glasses," she said. "We get our powers from the eyes, there being different types based on rarity." She continued. All the students were most definitely listening to this part, Kaito listening intensely. "There are four types- Blue being the most common gives you the power to use telekinesis. Orange, whichs allows you to create clones. Green gives you enhanced strength, speed, and physical attributes overall. Then there is the last which is red, not a lot of information on this one because it's almost highly unlikely to get it, being that it's passed down from relatives." She added. Kaito was intrigued by his history in the unique eyes he has, but that means he still doesn't know the true lore of his power. "Now I don't want to keep entertaining delinquents, so if you aren't ready to learn, you can gladly leave!" the principal said, her voice getting more serious. "And with that, orientation dismissed." she said, leading the students out of the theatre. The school left the theater like a stampede, wasting no time getting to their regular classes. "What's your next class Kaito?" Aika asked, "I think its class B2, but I don't think we have the same classes today." Kaito said looking at his paper. "Darn, well have fun!" Aika says running to her next class, waving. "Why does she keep doing that?" Kaito mumbles to himself.

Kaito gets to his class and meets his teacher, Ms. Sato. "Take a seat Tadashi, we've got a couple of things to go over." Ms. Sato says in a high-pitched voice. As Kaito sat down at his desk, Ms. Sato began to speak. "You all heard what the principal said at orientation, so I realistically don't have to teach about eyes today. But this is still Rebal Academy so you will not get a break." she said with her legs on her desk. The class began to groan, and some even gave an annoyed scoff. Kaito was calm, that gave him more time to think about his power and the origin of his eyes. "With that, for homework you all will be writing an essay on how much your powers have improved from the year before. If you weren't here last year, then write have your powers have improved over the years." Ms. Sato said, ignoring all the sighs. Class dismissed with that statement, the bell ringing as soon as the sentence was over. All the students were going home, including Kaito until Aika stopped him in his tracks. "How was your class Kaito?" Aika asked, appearing as like she was teleported. "It was fine, but I have an essay to finish by tomorrow." Kaito said while walking out the door. "Crazy me too, I'm going to be writing about my cloning powers!" Aika said cheerfully following behind Kaito. After Aika and Kaito exchanged goodbyes, Tae was here to pick up Kaito to go home. "Hey Tae, I think I'll stay at my dorm today if that's alright." Kaito said. "That's alright, but do you have your essay today?" Tae asked. "Yeah, how'd you know?" Kaito said while tilting his head, confused. Tae nodded as he opened his mouth to speak. "Mother told me, but um, she said to not give info about your powers." He said as he put his hands on the wheel to drive off. "Then what will I write about?!" Kaito said while trying to wave down Tae. "I don't know, make something up!" Tae said as he drove off the school property. Kaito looked back at his dorm, trying to think of something to write about before he went inside.
