Chapter 10: The Sin That Never Died
The shrine flickered with violet fire.
Kael sat in a circle of runes drawn with golden ink and dried dragonroot. The incense curled upward, dancing like whispers — ancient voices beckoning the bond that had not been completed.
Vaeloria knelt before him.
Her eyes were different tonight — not just molten gold, but laced with something fragile. Regret. Or perhaps fear.
"Before we begin," she said softly, "you need to know why I was here. Why I was sealed away... and why I could never forget your face."
Kael said nothing.
The Crown of Sin pulsed faintly at the base of his skull.
She placed her hand on his chest.
"Three hundred years ago... I was not a priestess. I was a Celestial Judge. High enforcer of the Seraphic Tribunal. I condemned monsters, exiled kings, even gods."
She smiled faintly — bitter.
"Then I fell in love."
The runes around them pulsed.
"He was a mortal — but not ordinary. He bore the Crown of Sin... like you."
Kael tensed. The flame behind him flickered dark.
"He told me the gods had lied. That the Celestial Order was built on blood, not balance. And I believed him. I loved him."
Her hands trembled.
"They called it treason. They dragged him away. I don't know if he died or betrayed me. All I know is... they chained me here. To forget. To rot."
She looked into Kael's eyes, and something ancient and shattered reached out.
"And now you appear — younger, stronger... crowned by the same sin. You don't look like him. But your touch burns the same."
The incense flared blue.
"Maybe you are him. Maybe you're the god that came back to finish what we began. Or maybe... you're my second and final sin."
She leaned closer, her breath warm.
"Either way... I won't let you go. Not this time."
The shrine dimmed.
Kael's fingers found hers.
"Then show me. Everything."
The Crown of Sin flared. The runes ignited. Their bond surged into the ritual.
But Vaeloria wasn't smiling.
Her lips moved in a silent prayer.
"Don't betray me again... even if you're not him... please don't be the end of me twice."

Quest Name: Sealed Judgment
Objective: Break the divine seals imprisoning Vaeloria Il'syn Serenthaal.
Steps:
Recover the Trium Seal Sigil from the Vault of Light in Celestara.
Defeat or corrupt a Seraphic Warden to access the divine lock.
Perform the forbidden rite of unshackling within the Temple of Echoes.
Danger: Each step triggers a divine echo. Celestial eyes will open. Betrayal is inevitable. Once started, the rite cannot be undone.
Reward:
Vaeloria's full power and allegiance.
Unlocking the Crown's Judgement Authority.
Forbidden access to ancient Celestial law.
Warning: The gods fear what lies beneath her seal... and not even the Crown of Sin remembers all of it.
