The next morning, Mishio woke up and got ready, then he went out to explore the city as he just transmigrated a week ago or you can say five months if the other world time is also added.
While roaming around and searching for a specific person, he saw that familiar scene where Issei was going to accidentally bump into the inocent nun but he was Michio, how can he let that happen. He quickly came up to Issei and used a bit magic to change his trajectory and prevent the fateful collision. Instead, he saw Asia colliding with a random person and falling backward.
He quickly moved and caught the nun who had closed her eyes in expectation of pain but what she felt was a cold but comfortable embrace and a gentle voice, " Hey Miss, are you okay? You're not hurt right?".
As she opened her eyes, she saw a handsome boy with long white hair and blue eyes, pure as winter and soft as snow. As she was daised, he helped her get on her feet and looked puzzled. She quickly replied " Yes, yes, I am fine. Sorry for troubling you."
She bent down to pick up her fallen baggages and the man helped her. But he was blushing, probably the first time he has touched a girl's cloth of his age, she guessed.
Five minutes later, Michio looked at the girl and said " Miss, are you lost? Do you want me to show you around."
" Yes, I was looking for a church, here is the address." She gave him the address and he said looking at it," Miss, come with me. It will take 1 hour and half to get there."
As the two proceeded to the church, they became frank with each other and enjoyed the company as Asia was a saint before and now considered a disgrace, people either talked with her either respectfully or with destain. On the way, she showed her healing ability when she saw an injured rabbit and told him her story. She noticed that he was always surrounded by animals who specifically liked winter.
Hearing her story, he told her that she was setup and decieved but she had a firm faith for the church. He didn't argue but just said this, " May the winter beast protect you."
As he said this, a gust of cold wind blew and as Asia removed her hairs from her eyes, he disappeared from her sight like he never existed but Asia knew she saw him because her miracle rings were responding to his presence when he was with her.
Next, the same church scene from anime appeared where Asia settled in the church and Issei was called to fullfill a wish. He joined Rias peerage when he heard about this supernatural world from her sister but he only took one pawn and was an ordinary substitute for Rias.
He met and fought the priest like in original and when Asia interfered, and the priest was about to repeat the anime scene of cloth ripping, his hands frozen and he stepped back.
As Asia stumbled to her feets, she saw fog around the roomwith decrease in temperature and soon a horse with the body same as the night sky dark blue with millions of small stars, cresent moon mark on its head, white mane and golden hooves sprinkling golden particles with each step came to Asia, gently nugged her and gave a death glared to the priest who can clearly feel the divine aura from this beast. He didn't know that The girl was under the divine protection of the gods. He can't afford to touch her. With that, the beast disappeared in the fog and Rias with her peerage appeared there, took Issei and glances at Asia with sparkle in her eyes. A sacred gear user and a healing one at that but Asia was actually thinking about the beast which appeared and remembered Michio's last words 'Protect yourself and be careful. May the winter beast protect you.'
Yes, her eyes lit up, the winter beast protected her and she felt the same resonance from her ring towards the beast, same as Michio.
The next day, just as the plot, Issei came to take Asia because she helped him but she refused to go with him and like in the anime, she was caught by the fallen angels ro take her sacred gear. Rias being herself waited for the fallens to kill the girl so she can revive her or else in the anime she would have moved early when she heard about Asia's situation but she knew that Asia's faith in God will never let her turn into a devil so she had to die to gat another peerage.
This is one of the reason why Michio didn't join her peerage as she was selfish and spoiled.
But, Rias perfect plan was bound to fail as Michio was there to play the hero.
As Asia was tied to the cross on the ritual site and Raynare was preparing the ritual, Asia asked in a weak voice " Did the devil who I saved asked you to do this?"
Listening to this, Raynare laughed out loud and said " Oh, so you already know it. Yes, he and I reached an agreement that we will have you delivered to him but who knew that our lord was interested in you gear so, you have to die today girl, we no longer cared about the agreement."
Hearing Raynare, Asia smiled bitterly. Yes, wasn't she warned by Michio but Asia smiled and said," Your plan will never succeed. Because I have the protection of the winter."
Raynare laughed again very loudly but also sarcastically. But suddenly, her expression changed, she has already heard of the horse from the priest and was ready but as usual, fog appeared around the whole room and moments later, that beautiful horse appeared again but it didn't move after appearing. It first looked at Asia , then Raynare and nodded. Suddenly, it started to change and a human appeared there. Seeing this white haired boy, both girls were stunned. "Clap, clap, well said Asia. You are protected by the winter." He looked at Raynare who smiled and said " Aren't you that person with the divine bloodlines of ice in you." Raynare looked quite excited.
Asia was stunned, a divine bloodline means child with blood of God and he is the Child of Winter. She also understood her rings reaction near him due to his bloodlines.
Michio smiled and didn't say anything. He rushed forward immediately and Raynare did the same but in a few moments, Raynare was frozen into a statue but not before she activated the spell beneath Asia which grabbed her gear and she was on the blink of death.
As Asia thought she will die, she heard that pleasant voice," You have the protection of winter, you won't die."
As Michio used the healing cross along with her sacred gear, Rias also arrived and saw that Michio touched Asia's torn chest with the Twilight Heal and a cross exuding faint light and they sank in her chest. The wound closed and Asia woke up in Michio's arms with a confused look.
" Wasn't I dying? How am I alive?"
" Didn't I say, the winter beast protect you from any harm, even death."
Asia chuckled softly and said " Now, I don't have anywhere to go."
" Well, don't worry about that, you can live with me, my house is empty anyways."
Asia was delighted and agreed and Michio helped her on her feet. They suddenly heard a voice from behind," Actually, Asia-san, I have an offer for you as well." Rias came forward and spread her hands," Become a devil and join my peerage. I can help you gain power."
Asia looked at Rias's smug look but didn't say anything for a while. After sometime, Asia said " I am not interested in joining you. I will go with Michio-kun, now if you excuse me."
Michio said " Actually, Asia-san I also belong to a different peerage and have half divine and half devil bloodline in me. Are you sure?"
Asia smiled brightly and said," I would also like to join your group then. If you are there, that person must be good."
Rias furrowed her eyebrows and asked" Why did you agreed with him not me?"
Asia looked at her and said politely, "Because he saved me three times and you are a stranger to me."
Rias didn't say anything as it was her plan to let Asia die to reincarnate her but the plan backfired.
After than, Asia went to Michio's home with her luggage.
