Xerxes was telling me about Pious before Clarissa came to interrupt us. According to him, Pious was my father's elder brother. However, growing up, he was a tyrant, he was arrogant, he was greedy and he was selfish. With that rotten attitude, my grandfather decided to skip him and make my father the king instead. Filled with anguish and evil, he cut ties with the family to go out and create an army of his own. An army of rogues. After they were able to kill my parents on my birthday, they began to take down the small defenseless packs until Xerxes's parents stepped in. His parents had been in charge of protecting Wolftown and that was why they were not able to protect my parents. Although I felt sad for not being able to see my biological parents, I was content with Aelia's parents being my parents. Xerxes did show me their pictures though. I now had the answer of why I always looked different. I looked a lot like my dad. My mom was a petite brunette, deep brown eyes and heart shaped lips. They both looked so much in love. No wonder, dad couldn't live without mom.
I decided to fight Pious before I would think of leaving Wolftown. That was going to disturb Aelia's, Clarissa's and Xavier's schooling for a while. After I had left Xerxes and his mate, I called my secretary.
"Sir?" Mrs. Gernburg asked when she picked up her phone. "Good evening, Mrs. Gernburg. Hope you are doing great. I called because I am out of the country with three of our students. Aelia and Xavier Jackson and Clarissa Mitchell. We won't be back for a while. I would like the students to go on a break for two weeks. Tell their parents that some of the school properties are being repaired." She replied, "okay, sir."
I froze when I stepped into our suite to find Aelia dressed in a sorry excuse of a night dress. It was a lacy baby pink short night dress. The attire was a revealing one exposed her cleavage, thighs and ass. I gulped as I walked to the couch. Aelia ignored me as she climbed up into bed, moving on all fours, giving me a gorgeous view of her bare ass but covered sex. Blood rushed to my cock. "Aelia." I growled, unable to control my wolf. She still ignored me. Huffing, I entered the bathroom for a cold shower. Immediately I walked out, she began to moan, calling out my name, her hands exploring the most intimate places of her body. This little trouble trapped in the form of a lady. I tried to calm my raging hard cock but it didn't work. Growling, I crawled up the bed. Squealing and giggling, she tried to escape but I held her ankle and pulled her effortlessly underneath me, wrapping her legs around my waist. I began to fondle her breasts. Groaning, I lowered my lips onto hers. She responded immediately by wrapping her arms around my neck and kissing me back.
When Xerxes told me about Pious, he didn't tell me that he could give us a surprise visit but I was ready for him. We had been here for a week. I hadn't shifted yet but Xerxes had helped me train. This morning, my wolf sensed an intruder while we were asleep. Xerxes and I had to suffer trying to get our mates to go with the people. Currently, Xerxes and I, accompanied by a few guards were in the hall awaiting their entrance. Pious and his rogues were not here yet but they were on their way. The rest of the guards had taken the people and the family to a safe spiritual cafe, the witch had created. We were restlessly pacing when my wolf finally smelled them. They were here. Looking at each other, we nodded and walked out. We found them breaking into people's houses but when they got no one, they approached us.
A tall man whom I resembled stepped out to us. "My nephew is back, I heard." He said with a sinister grin. I just stared at him. We heard footsteps from behind the rogues, making us look in the direction of the new member. Christina. She was dressed like a warrior. Tight black suit, carrying a bow and arrows, high boots and some straps around her thighs and shin which I'm guessing, had pocket knives and small sharp weapons. What made me smile was the fact that I was not going to let her live. I despised betrayers. If it's because of Xerxes, then she was very stupid. "You? Wait, did you betray us because of my rejection?" Xerxes asked, shocked.
Christina scoffed, "oh don't flatter yourself, you mutt. My parents used to work for them but they were killed during the ambush twenty four years ago. I then decided to get my revenge so I befriended you thinking you would make me your mate. I would become the Beta Queen and use that power and opportunity to wipe out every single life in Wolftown but then you had to bring that bitch as your mate." She snarled. Xerxes growled at his mate being insulted. Pious chuckled darkly. "Step down or we battle!" He declared. Great. Just a day after seeing my wolf, I have to face my enemy. I huffed.
"Wolves? Be on guard!" I yelled to the guards. The rogues were also not many but they were wild and ruthless. We needed to be calculatively reckless too in order to leave here in one piece. "Rogues! We fight till we die!" Pious said to his army. "We fight till we die!" They called back with vigor. I chuckled at their confidence. They began to shift and my army did too. Pious shifted into a giant brown wolf. Unlike the other wolves, Pious stood like a human beast. "That's the wolf of one that has royal alpha blood. You can also shift. Picture your wolf or find some anger to shift." Xerxes quickly explained. Growling, I shut my eyes and focused on my wolf. Soon, my body began to morph and by time it stopped and I had opened my eyes, I was no longer in human flesh. I was covered in black fur and my nails were sharp. I looked at Pious and realized that I was taller than him by a couple of inches or one.
Growling, Pious gave the signal for his wolves to attack. Growling, I also gave my signal and we began to fight. I realized that I had completely lost control to my wolf. Pious tried to scratch my face but I dodged his attack and bit into his right arm instead. He let out a loud howl but I didn't allow him to recover. Pious was this weak? Using his wound as an opportunity, I bit into his neck hard. He tried weakly to push me away but I was not done with him. I needed to bite the skin off to make sure he wouldn't recover. I successfully did but he didn't fall too easily. He managed to scratch my chest causing me to back off and touch my wound. Looking around in pain, I found all the rougues dead. Xerxes and the guards had made it.
Something did catch my attention though. Christina was no where to be seen. "Alpha!" Xerxes rushed to my side as I shifted back, still covering my chest. "I am okay. Where is Christina?" Xerxes looked at me as if thinking about when he had last seen her.
"Oh no!" He whispered. "What is it?" I asked. "Christina can smell even when magic has been used. She is heading towards the cave!" He said.
We all rushed towards the cave. I looked at my chest. Surprisingly, my wound had closed up. With a new found strength, I sprinted. My family and my people were in danger!
