Mahira's departure
Sofia," I don't like you Kaashvi but I am grateful that you exposed Ariana. We owe you one but keep your best friend away from my family. "
Kaashvi," You don't have to worry ma'am. Im taking Mahira to London. She won't be a problem."
THANE'S POV
Wait did I hear right. Mahira is going to London? But why? I just found out about Ariana's hidden agenda but I don't care because I didn't really love her. Mahira was falsely accused because of me and I need to fix things with her. I don't know why it hurts me that Mahira is going away but I don't want to let her go. I want to keep her close. I need to stop her from going to London.
End of Thane's POV
" Mahira!" Thane called out to Mahira.
" Mahira, please don't go."
Thane asked with pleading eye's. Mahira wanted to grant him this one wish but Kaashvi wasn't going to let that happen. Kaashvi stood in between Mahira and Thane.
" Listen here Thane, you had seven year's to claim Mahira as your own but now is not the time!"
Kaashvi looked at Thane sternly with dominance in her voice but Thane wasn't going to give up so easily.
Thane," Mahira, I know you love me. Please. Look into my eyes and tell me you still want to be with me. I am willing to give us a chance. Tell Kaashvi that you don't want to go."
Mahira looked down and hid behind Kaashvi.
Kaashvi," Kaashvi is my name. Now listen, Mahira doesn't want anything to do with you. Now move aside."
Kaashvi pushes Thane aside and takes Mahira's hand, leading her out to the car.
( I will try and make thing's right Mahira. I promise). Thane said to himself.
Kaashvi looked at Mahira.
" Mahira how do you feel? Be open, don't hide anything."
Mahira sobbed bitterly.
" Kaashvi,did you see the determination and pain in his eyes? I want to know what he's thinking. Ariana has finally been exposed but I need to know how he is feeling. Maybe.... maybe he will love me."
Kaashvi took a deep breath then wiped Mahira's tear's.
" Mahira, Thane is still confused. He doesn't know if he loves you or not. You can't waste your youth waiting for him. I want you to go to London and start afresh. How do you feel about that?"
Mahira looked at her with tears in her eye's.
" Kaashvi I am willing to go to London. I want to focus on my dream. I am hurt that Elena also misunderstood me. But I want to know how Thane feel's right now."
Kaashvi," Mahira I will book a ticket for you tonight. I'll help you pack but you should be back as soon as possible. Don't let him manipulate you okay."
Mahira," Yes Kaashvi. Thank you."
Mahira called Thane.
" Hello."
Thane," Mahira you called. Please can we talk. Please."
Mahira," let's meet up at the park ASAP."
She hung up then changed her clothes after taking a short shower. She wore a pink saree and went to the park where she found Thane sitting on the bench. Thane stood up immediately after spotting Mahira,he hugged her.
" Mahira please don't go to London."
Mahira held back her tear's.
" Why Thane? Why shouldn't I go to London?"
Thane," I know you still love me Mahira. Don't go away please. I'll give us a chance. I'll try to be better. Thanks to you, grandmother was saved and you exposed Ariana."
Mahira pulled away from his embrace.
" Tell me something Thane," tear's welled up in her eyes.
" Do you love me? Are you asking me to stay because you are feeling guilty?"
Thane looked down.
" I don't love you but then..."
Mahira interrupted and tear's were already rolling down her face.
" You don't love me. It seems like I am th...the fool. If I.... I... I stay in America... I will...cry everyday just waiting for you. You can't love me. I am going to London tonight. I.. I... I want to start afresh away from you... you should do me one favor...tell Elena that I... I.. love her so much."
Thane," please stay."
At this point Mahira was very angry.
" Fuck you Thane!"
Mahira screamed which drew attention from onlookers who were passing by.
" Fuck you! How dare you? For seven years all I did was love you but all you ever do is push me away. You and your fucked up life. You are just a piece of bullshit. I lost my mother because of you! I don't have a family all because of you."
Mahira's body was trembling as she spoke to him.
" All I ever did was love you. But you... you chose Ariana over me. You always choose some girl ove.... over me. In high school you chose Aliya, you chose Sifra, you chose Nikki but you never chose me darn it. Now you don't even know what you want but you are holding me down. I feel so suffocated because of you... I... I."
Mahira turned around and ran away from the scene before finishing her sentence. She immediately got a cab and went back home. Kaashvi had not packed her bag's yet. Mahira asks Kaashvi to help her pack and go to the airport as soon as possible. After an hour Kaashvi dropped Mahira at the airport.
" Mahira,be safe okay. When you get to London build your career. If you need help,im just a call away."
Mahira hugged Kaashvi and bid her goodbye. Kaashvi sighed in relief as Mahira's plane took off. She drove herself home and smiled as she told her boyfriend that Mahira had finally agreed to go to London. When she got home, she found Thane outside her yard looking desperate. Kaashvi politely asks him to leave but he is adamant.
" Thane, please leave my yard, I don't want to see you nor talk to you."
Thane," Kaashvi I was wrong please let me talk to Mahira."
Kaashvi," Thane, Mahira is gone. Since it's so easy for you to move on. Please get a divorce and find a pretty girl for yourself."
Thane," Kaashvi let me talk to her let me..."
Kaashvi," Go!"
Thane helplessly left.
THANE'S POV
Mahira was gone. I guess Kaashvi was right. The day Mahira would leave me I would realize her worth. Mahira was so heartbroken when she left me in the park but her question lingered in my mind for a while. I was so stupid. I just let go of the woman I loved. I wonder why I never thought about it. I knew every single little detail about her but I never thought it was love. In high school I used to think she was childish to be honest. She was pretty and cute too but I thought she was way to childish and not ready to handle me. She was way too young and I doubt she would have been ready for what I needed from her. Mahira is gone now but I want her back. I went to the bar and started drinking alcohol like a psycho.
