A small bustling village,every one fast asleep at this odd hour,then it came,the sky lit up with blinding light and a loud noise reminiscent of a million thunder bolts striking at once.
The villagers were jolted all up,no one could remain asleep when it seemed like a calamity was about to befall them,thier worries were almost palpable,no one screemed or shouted,as if fearing that they would bring calamity upon themselves if they did,strangely enough even toddlers and newborns were surprisingly quiet,as if all thier souls recognized an imperial presence that tolerated no blasphemy.
But not far away was a house,dilapidated and reeking of sweat and fluids from a woman who was just delivered of a boy,the child had no qualms as the other villagers and his parents,as he cried as loud as possible,notwithstanding the effort of his parents to calm him down "please my child don't cry,please we don't want divine punishment to come upon us" pleaded his father in a shushed voice,afraid that divine punishment might sense him,but the child continued to cry regardless of what his father did,"give me my baby"his mom sitted on the floor looking strained and tired stretched her hands "I'll calm him down myself",but he kept on thrashing and crying,it seemed like his tears incited the heavens more,enraging them.with each sob,the heavens responded with a thunderous sound and more light,it was as if he was targeted specifically,the villagers could strangely hear the voice of a crying child,they begun panicking,feeling like the crying child would cause divine punishment to fall on them.
Legends tell of beings cursed by the heavens,having done great evil that could not be ignored by the heavens or erased by the yellow springs in hell,that karma infects thier reincarnations.this was the same thought going on in most villagers head,"that child must be a cursed being,let us go and kill it,for its sins shall bring calamity upon our small village,we suffer hard already,we can't afford to offend the great ones in the sky" no one knew who had the galls to shout from their house,but it ignited a frenzy in the villagers,they became crazed,either out of fear of the unknown or stupid reverence,they lit torches,held machetes,rakes and spears,all following the sound of the crying "cursed baby",it's coming from yang ye's house",the villagers quickly made thier way towards the yangs' house that was on the village outskirts.
"The villagers are after our child,wife go out the back door I'll buy us some time",the man said as he supported his wife up from the floor then handing over the child, "I'll meet you at wolve mountain's entrance,please be strong my love",with tears in her eyes"please my husband,don't leave me and my child without your love,please ensure you are safe,don't confront them headon please,I don't know why they think our child is a cursed one" she said between choked sobs, " I'll definitely come to meet you guys,now go,there's no time".she quickly exited through the back door disappearing slowly but surely into the dark bushes behind her house.
The villagers footsteps approach thier house,yang ye then quickly stepped out,"that's the father of the cursed demon"
"Hand him over", "he needs to die so we can live", " your whole family was always a stain to this village".the villagers ranted continuously,drowning out yang ye's plea for mercy.they broke into the house and started destroying what was left of the building,some men started beating up yang ye,"there is no mother and kid inside" shouted one of the men that went in to search "let's beat him up and let him speak up on where he hid his wife and damn child".
