Erica had heard about Brentley from Elton back when they were at Sunshire City University. She knew very well that Brentley was just a poor guy who couldn't even afford meals at the Campus cafeteria, let alone dine at a place like Jacques Bistro Restaurant.
So, seeing Brentley here, Erica could only assume he was working a part-time job. This was why she decided to use this opportunity to threaten him, venting her pent-up frustration.
"You better kneel down and apologize to me right now. If I'm in a good mood, I might just let this slide. Otherwise, I'll get the manager to fire you!" Erica said smugly, crossing her arms as she glared at Brentley.
"I'm not an employee here. If you want the manager to fire me, go ahead," Brentley replied calmly.
"Heh..." Erica sneered and continued, "At this point, who are you trying to fool? If you're not an employee, are you a customer? Are you seriously going to tell me you're here to eat? Brentley, don't think I don't know about you. Elton told me everything about your life at Sunshire City University yesterday!"
Brentley had no interest in arguing with this woman. He turned to leave.
"Did I say you could go?" Erica grabbed Brentley's arm, refusing to let him leave. "Brentley, it must have been hard for you to get a part-time job here, right? At least it pays better and is more respectable than picking up trash at the university. Do you really want to lose this job?"
"Let go of my hand. I'm not an employee here; I'm here to eat. And I've already apologized for what happened yesterday and today. There's no need for you to keep pestering me!" Brentley shouted impatiently.
Despite Erica's stunning looks and figure, her personality was something Brentley found utterly unbearable. He had no interest in her whatsoever.
"Stubborn as a mule, aren't you? You won't cry until you see the coffin!" Erica sneered as she pulled out her phone and dialed a number.
"Hello, is this Manager Morgan?" Erica asked, frowning.
"Miss Harris, what can I do for you?" Manager Morgan responded. Erica was a regular at the Restaurant, so she was quite familiar with the manager.
"One of your employees harassed me, and when I asked him to apologize, he had the nerve to argue back. Manager Morgan, you need to come here and deal with this right now, or I swear I'll never eat at your restaurant again!" Erica demanded, her tone imperious.
"Miss Harris, please don't worry. I'll be there right away!" Manager Morgan replied, his voice tense. An incident involving an employee harassing a female customer was a disgrace for the Restaurant.
"I'm by the restroom. Come over here," Erica said curtly before hanging up the phone.
"The manager will be here soon. Let's see what you do then," Erica said smugly, putting away her phone and glaring at Brentley.
"I already told you, I'm not an employee here. Can you please stop bothering me? I really have something important to do!" Brentley said, his tone exasperated.
"Hmph, you're just feeling guilty now!" Erica scoffed. "If you kneel down and apologize right now, I'll let this go and won't ask the manager to fire you. But if you keep arguing, just wait and see what happens!"
Brentley looked at the woman in front of him, hesitated for a moment before saying in a low voice, "Fine, let's wait for the manager then."
"You..."
Erica couldn't believe that even at this point, Brentley could still be so stubborn. She hesitated for a moment, then decided to wait for the restaurant manager to deal with him.
A few seconds later, the Manager arrived with eight security guards, rushing to where Brentley and Erica were.
The commotion caused by the security guards attracted the attention of the other diners, who began to gather around.
"Miss Harris, what on earth is going on here?" Manager Morgan asked Erica, his expression puzzled.
"Your employee here just deliberately splashed water on my face. Manager Morgan, you need to fire him immediately!" Erica, seeing the growing crowd, felt embarrassed to mention that Brentley had harassed her earlier, so she changed her accusation.
Manager Morgan, hearing Erica's words, quickly turned to look at Brentley, a hint of confusion in his eyes.
"Why are you just standing there? I told you to fire this person, didn't you hear me?" Erica shouted, growing increasingly agitated as Manager Morgan stood there silently.
"Miss Harris, I... I think there might be a misunderstanding. This person is not an employee at our Restaurant..." Manager Morgan said, looking exceptionally helpless as he addressed Erica.
"He's not an employee at the Restaurant?" Erica was stunned upon hearing this, her face showing a look of utter surprise.
"I told you I'm not, but you wouldn't believe me!" Brentley Carter replied calmly.
Erica Harris hesitated for a moment, then bit her red lip and said, "Manager Morgan, even if this person isn't an employee of Jacques Bistro Restaurant, can't you just kick him out?"
"Miss Harris, please don't make things difficult for me. You are a guest at our restaurant, and so is he. Any conflict between you two should be resolved privately. Jacques Bistro Restaurant has no right to intervene," Manager Morgan replied softly.
"You..."
Erica was stunned by Manager Morgan's words, feeling extremely unwilling to let Brentley go just like that.
"Erica, what's going on here?"
At that moment, a sweet and elegant voice suddenly rang out from the crowd. Everyone turned their heads to look behind them, and Brentley naturally glanced back as well.
When Brentley saw the beautiful woman, he froze in place, his face showing a look of utter shock.
Although Sunshire City University had many beautiful girls, Brentley felt that none of them could compare to this woman. Even Ophelia and Farrah paled in comparison.
The stunning woman wore a long white dress, giving off an ethereal, fairy-like aura as she gracefully walked out of the crowd.
Brentley was immediately mesmerized.
