Basked by moonlight, the streets of the city bustling with people at day now quiet and empty, shrouded by the darkness of the night.
The streets surrounded by houses and closed shops made from wood and stone, windows glowing from the candles inside, streetlamps unlit and the air blows coldly.
In these empty and dark streets made of cobblestone. a small girl wearing rugged clothes, carrying a small bag, and holding a loaf of bread in her hand walks through. Her white hair shining through the dark, scarlet eyes gleaming akin to a ruby.
As she walks the girl takes out coins from her bag and begins to count.
"One.. Two.. Three..."
"3 silver and 5 copper coins. I'll be eating good tomorrow it seems" She giggles as she puts the coins back to her bag
She continues to walk and eventually reaching the edge of the city, going to the city's junkyard.
Upon getting into the junkyard the girl sets up a fire pit, and using pieces of fabric and wood she makes a fire.
As her makeshift campfire burns, the girl begins to eat the loaf of bread and takes out a small, tattered, and burnt book from her bag.
"The hero of... and the... Scarlet flower" girl says as she the cover of the book with parts of it burnt away.
The girl continues to read the book while she eats, although the book's pages are mostly burnt and blackened the girl interprets the story revolving around the hero travelling around the world to get to comfront a great evil.
After a while she takes her last bite of the bread and reads the final yet most incomplete part of the book.
"As the sun get's shrouded by darkness the end arises... Minalcia the hero cries tears of blood... A scarlet rose shall rise and bleed... as the flower and the hero nears their death a... the hero casts a wish, a wish that decides the fate of his world..." The girl reads.
With the last pages of the book are illegible or burnt away thus marks the end of the book.
the girl closes the book and puts it down. She then looks up looking at the night's star filled sky and spots a shooting star and decides to cast her wish.
"I alca. Wish to be at the top and be rich! One day... one day" she wishes from the bottom of her heart.
As the shooting star fades into the night sky alca lays down on the ground near her campfire and falls asleep ready for the challenges of tomorrow.
