Haru had a sixth sense for 3 things:
1: Discount snacks at the convenience store
2: When a teacher was about to give a pop quiz... he still failed... he saw the teacher walking in with more paper than usual.
3: And supernatural disturbances within a 100-meter radius.
(It all began with a scream.)
(A real one. Echoing down the hallway. The kind that made you pause mid-sip of convenience store milk tea.)
(The Fake Psychic Club took this as a divine invitation.)
"We've trained for this," Haru whispered dramatically, slapping on a pair of sunglasses he definitely did not need indoors.
"You say that every time we get kicked out of a classroom," Takumi muttered, still holding his math book. "Spoiler: We're not trained."
(Rina clutched her salt shaker like a holy relic.)
"Let the cleansing begin."
"Momo, please stop them," Takumi pleaded.
Momo sighed, already regretting every life choice that had led to this moment.
(Classroom 2-B was empty, except for one very disturbed girl and a locker that reportedly made hissing sounds.)
"It's possessed!" the girl shrieked.
"Possessed by… what?" Momo asked.
"Anger! Sadness! Maybe bad grades!"
(Haru stepped forward, holding a paper fan inscribed with the words "Ghost, Begone!" in glitter glue.)
"This calls for a level three purification," he declared. "Prepare the offerings."
(Rina set down a box of Pocky and a Tamagotchi.)
"These are sacred items."
"Are they?" Takumi asked.
"They were on sale," Rina said.
(Haru circled the locker three times, chanting something that sounded suspiciously like anime lyrics.)
"The spirit must be released!" he cried.
(The locker creaked.)
"Did it move?" Momo asked, eyes narrowing.
"It's probably just rust," Takumi said. "Or poor craftsmanship."
(The locker suddenly burst open, revealing…)
"A raccoon?" Momo blinked.
(The raccoon blinked back.)
(Silence.)
(Rina gasped.)
"A famili—"
"It's just a raccoon!" Takumi snapped.
(The raccoon hissed and ran out of the room like it had somewhere very important to be.)
"Well," Haru said, brushing off his hands. "Evil vanquished."
Momo pinched the bridge of her nose.
"I'm writing you all up for wildlife endangerment."
