As soon as i heard the voice, i knew what had to be done, so i summoned the runes to check on the Authority and it's runes.

"Blessed! Oh my god, i got a Blessed Authority." I shouted, practically jumping in excitement.
A Blessed Authority is the highest rank Authority anyone can get, So i really stand a chance to return to the real world.
"Maybe that promise wasn't so empty...maybe."
Not letting the excitement consume me, i started reading the description of the Authority and it's runes.
[Master of Reflections] Authority description: You are a blessed reflection, viewed by other reflections as a master.
Mirror shards:[1]
'So, can i command them? If so, what would happen to the owner of the reflection?'
I didn't spare these questions much thought, and continued reading.
[Phantom Mirrors] Authority Rune description: You can conjure Phantoms of yourself, or any living creature as long as you killed them while their reflection was on one of your mirrors shards

'That can be very useful, but i have to figure out how to create more phantoms first.'
[Mirror Weapons] Authority Rune description: You can conjure weapons, or augment existing ones by using a mirror shard. Each weapon conjured or augmented will have the ability to absorb attacks and reflect them at will.
I somehow kept getting more and more exited as i continued reading, that is until i read the [Mirror Slave]description, my mood soured almost instantly.
[Mirror Slave] Authority Rune description: A blessed reflection mustn't go long without a master. Find a worthy master and let them recite your Authority while seeing their reflection in your eyes.
"It was going so good, why did you have to go ahead and..."
I was cut off by the voice.
[Chosen! Your first journey is starting.]
Another Rift tore through the fabric of reality, that time however it pulled me in instantly.
Above me was a pure white sky, almost as the sky was made of one big cloud. Under me a black desert.
I however, was free falling towards the black sand. I started waving my hands, and kicking the air, but to no avail, i fell on the sand, except it was harder than expected, and i heard a pained groan, not mine.
Getting up painfully, i looked down and couldn't help but laugh.
I landed on Nico.
"What the fuck man! Why are you falling from the sky?"
"I don't know, but i'm glad to see you. Any way we don't have time, tell me about your Authority."
He made a gesture that i supposed was summoning his runes.
"Well, my Authority is called "Master of Shadow" and you won't believe it, i got a blessed Authority!" He said excitement taking over his face.
"Same! but let's celebrate later, for now continue."
"Really! well anyway, basically I'm a blessed shadow and other shadows view me as their master. I can send my shadow to scout, I can transform my shadow into a weapon."
I looked at him confused, his Authority was eerily similar to mine, not letting him continue. I said:
"Are you a slave?"
"Yes? How did you know?"
I told him every thing, from my Authority to [MirrorSlave], leaving out the name of my Authority, for now.
"That's weird, but that goes to show that we are best friends by fate."
"Is this really the time to joke."
"Yes? We are in a black desert alone, it's the best time for joking." he said.
"Fair point."
Suddenly i spotted a beam of light coming from behind Nico, which i realized was surely a Rift creature.
Forcing him to get down, i got down myself, the beam of light passed above us with out harming either of us. Instantly i got up to take a look at the Rift creature, it was a tiger like creature the size of an elephant, with a single horn coming out of it's forehead, and two huge tusks. What's worse, it was already charging another beam.
"What are we going to do?" Nico asked, horrified.
"Run!"
