"I can't believe that woman! She left me on my own with this lustful lecher and this unconscious exhibitionist. And she had the nerve to ask for a raise! I swear when I get my hands on her there will be hell to pay."

"Oh crap, they are waking up."
I hurried out of this room before they had the chance to cause me any more trouble. That lecherous woman was bad enough. I shudder to imagine what that other pervert might try should he find me.
The next room was a rather spacious room. Aside from the small cement flooring around the entrance, the remainder of the room had a chess-based floor pattern. The room itself was completely empty, except for another one of those jigsaw puzzles standing at the other side of the room. I took one step forward as the black tile I stepped on lit up, flashing in different colors before eventually stopping on the color red, as it suddenly caught fire. I hurriedly moved away as my shoe melted of my foot, thank small mercy's my body's elemental resistances were still the same. I stepped on another black tile while backing away. The same thing happened only this time, it stopped on the color green, and a hole in the ceiling above me opened up as a volley of arrows came raining down. I rolled away evading the arrows on reflex, but in the prosses I triggered four more tiles, lighting up in yellow, blue, brown, and the last one I stopped on was another green. In this moment I thought to myself.
'Why me?'

"AAAAAAAHHH"
"I warned you not to go ahead of me. You dumbass."
In another identical trial room, Nox was watching Zhang Wei get electrocuted. Shortly after entering the trial room Nox had warned Zhang Wei to stay behind her as they moved along, but upon seeing the jigsaw puzzle he confidently strolled in while saying:
"Leave this to me"
Right before activating a yellow tile and got electrocuted.
"If you're that eager to die, then I hope you won't mind becoming my test dummy first."
"AAAAAHHH! Ugh."
Just then, Nox pulled out her comically large hammer again. Some of the engravings on it began to light up as she swung it like a golf club, sending poor Zhang Wei flying into the middle of the room, triggering a dozen tiles as he rolled across the floor, before stopping on a brown tile.
"So, green is arrows, yellow is electric, red is lava, blue is ice, while brown and black are both duds. And the other colors shown are still unknown! Also, it seems like the traps deactivate after a set time after stepping off one. Its trigger condition is likely pressure-based, and the trigger time is-"
"HE-Y! *zip* WHA-T WAS *zap* TH-AT FOR!" Zhang Wei said yelled, still not fully regained his control over his body as he would occasionally twitch uncontrollably.
"YOUR DOING GREAT! JUST A FEW MORE STEPS AND YOUR THERE! KEEP GOING!"
"I CAN'T MOVE! ALSO, WHAT KIND OF WOMAN SEE THEIR COMPANION IN PAIN AND THINKS IT'S A GOOD IDEA TO HIT THEM ACROSS THE ROOM LIKE THAT! HAVE YOU NO SHAME!"
"NO, I DON'T! SO, GET YOUR BUTT IN GEAR AND GO ALREADY!"
"I TOLD YOU ALREADY! I CAN'T!"
"WHAT?! YOU STILL PARALYZED BY A LITTLE LIGHTNING?! AND HERE I WAS, THINKING YOU CULTIVATORS WERE SUPPOSED TO BE TUFF! OR ARE YOU JUST A SCARED LITTLE BABY?!"
"NO! THAT'S NOT WHAT I MENT! MY BODY IS TOO HEAVY, I CAN BARELY MOVE AN INCH! ALSO, FUCK YOU! YOU'RE NO WOMAN, YOU SHE-BEAST! I HOPE YOUR TITS STAY AS SMALL AS YOUR NONEXISTENT CONSCIENCE!"
"So, the brown one is a gravitational trap."
"STOP, MUMBLING TO YOURSELF AND HELP ME!"

"I DON'T THINK I CAN GO ON WITHOUT SOME CASH TO SOOTH MY ACHING HEART!"
"YOU MONSTER, HAVE YOU NO SOUL!"
"OH! THE HUMANITY! HOW WILL A PURE AND POOR MAIDEN LIKE ME EVER MAKE IT IN SUCH A CRUEL AND EXPENSIVE WORLD!" Nox said while making some over dramatic gestures.
"FINE! I HAVE SOME SILVER TEALS IN MY SPATIAL RING YOU CAN HAVE! JUST SAVE ME BEFORE THIS TRAP SQUEEZES OUT MY BREAKFAST! UGH"
Right as Zhang Wei looked about ready to vomit, Nox pulled a fishing rod out of her dimensional storage space and skillfully hooked it onto his pants, before reeling him in, activating a ton of traps in the prosses.
"So, the traps can reactivate, meaning its not single use. Also, its effects is not pre-set to just a single type."
"WHAT ARE YOU EVEN GOING ON ABOUT!? I COULD HAVE DIED YOU KNOW!"
"You don't need to shout in my ear like that. I'm right here you know."
"HAVE YOU NO REMORSE?! YOU WICKED WOMAN!"
"Ah! That reminds me. Fork over the money you owe me."
"LIKE HELL!!! I JUST SAID THAT SO YOU WOULD GET ME OUT OF THERE! IF ANYONE'S GONNA PAY, ITS YOU!" He said while taking a combat stance.
"You've got some balls kid. Either that or you're dumb as a brick."
"HA! I'll admit that you have freakishly strong muscles for such a small girl, but I can tell. There isn't a shred of qi in your body which means-"
"Just get to the point already."
"IF YOU WOULD SHUT UP I WILL!... Ehem. You are not a cultivator which means, there is no way you can beat me in a fight."
"Prove it then tuff guy, or are you just all talk?"
*Swoosh*
"Huh?... Oh SHIIIAAAAAAHHHH!"
Right after Nox finished taunting Zhang Wei, his body lit up in a green hue as a gust of wind propelled him forwards, closing the gap between them instantly as he threw a punch. However, he flew straight through her, as if her body was nothing but air. Meanwhile, the propulsion from his sudden movement caused Zhang Wei to stumble forwards into another trap tile lighting up in yellow, sending them back to square one.
"That settles it! You're a certified dumbass." Another Nox said as she walked in through the entrance, before deactivating her illusion spell causing the other Nox to disappear.
… A few traps later.
"Now then. What lesson did we learn today?"
"Alwaysh djo whatche mish Nosh shaysh. (Always do what miss Nox says.)"
"Very good! And what do we do if we get in trouble for not listening to miss Nox?"
"Gieve herr whatchever shie wantch. (Give her whatever she wants.)"
"That's right, good boy."
After a few more rounds of being treated as a test dummy by Nox and failing to take revenge. Zhang Wei eventually caved in and was now sitting on his knees with his head down while repeating the painful lessons that had been drilled into him over the last hour. Meanwhile, in front of him stood Nox who had, for some reason, really gotten into playing a teacher. She had pulled out a ruler from her storage space, put on a pair of glasses over her mask and pulled out a chalk board with a drawing of Zhang Wei exploding on it.
"Okey dokey then. That will be all for today's lesson. Also, don't forget that everything you learned today will be on the test." And with that she threw off her glasses and with a snap of her fingers, all the teacher's equipment she pulled out, disappeared back into her storage space.
"So … uhm. Nox sensei. What should we do about the trial."
"What? Oh, yeah that. Don't you worry that stupid little head of yours. Trials are for suckers anyways, so let's just skip to the end."
"What do you mean?"
