In the heart of Omsk, two boys were living barely above a poverty level. The only thing keeping them from completely being in poverty was the older boy working various odd jobs. To them, each day was even worse than the last, as if they were living their own personal hell.
The older boy who just struck 18-years-of age this month was named Herman, a name his loving parents gave to him. The name devired from the latin word Germanus, meaning "brother" or "of the same people". The boy preferred to be referred to as Horu, a simple and silly nickname the younger boy gave him.
The younger boy, who was born April 1st, almost like his whole existence, was a cruel joke, bore the name Kolya. Just like his older cousin Herman, Kolya preferred to be referred to as Kou.
