Portals open across Earth, unleashing waves of monsters. The peaceful morning is shattered, the horizon now bleached in blood. Grass is stained red. The once-beautiful sounds of dawn are replaced by blood-curdling screams, waking even those in the deepest sleep.
Gale awakens to the noise, thinking, "Is there a party happening?" Realizing the sun is already up, he heads to his window. There, he sees multiple kobolds tearing a man limb from limb. The man is screaming in agony. Gale stumbles back in horror—he recognizes the man. It's his neighbor, an older man with a son.
Gale throws up from the grotesque scene. "Cough That is disgusting. What the fck..." he mutters.
Panicked, he runs out of his room—only to trip over a chest that wasn't there before.
He goes to open it, but it zaps him.
"Jesus Christ!" Gale shouts.
Suddenly, a glowing window appears in front of him, instructing him to open his system menu. Gale, still panicking, thinks about a status window—and it appears. The screen welcomes him to the end of the world, displaying six menu options.
The options are: Stats, Inventory, Skills, Class, Traits, and Titles.
He navigates to the Traits section. There, he sees Regressor, which is locked—except for one ability underneath it. It gives him the choice between special classes. He also sees Resilient, which grants the ability to cut off blood flow to an injured area 15 seconds after it's been severed.
Next, he checks Skills. He has only one: Seeker's Glance, a gamer-exclusive skill that allows him to see other people's skill windows.
Gale laughs, "Guess playing games all my life paid off!"
He checks Titles—no surprise, he has none.
His Inventory is empty as well.
With only two options left, he saves Class for last and checks his Stats:
Durability: 5
Strength: 4
Intelligence: 18
Speed: 4
Stamina: 4
Mana: 6
Divinity: 0
Finally, he opens the Class menu. He is presented with nine choices—three of which are exclusive. The options are:
Archer, Tank, Warrior, Berserker, Mage, Healer, Contractor, Plunderer, and Shadow.
