Chapter 7 - Chapter 7 {Simon Lu}

Dr. Mang scoffed, rolling her eyes at Viviana's mysterious response. She turned to the dean, her arms crossed over her chest.

"Dean Chen, I assure you this girl is nothing more than a fraud. She's playing on our sympathies with her age and her... unusual techniques. We can't let her perform surgery on our patient."

Dean Chen's expression remained neutral as he pulled out his phone, dialing a number. He held up a hand, silencing Dr. Mang's protests.

"Simon Lu, please," he said into the receiver, his gaze never leaving Viviana's face.

There was a pause, and then Dean Chen's eyes widened in surprise. He listened intently, his expression growing more incredulous by the second.

"Very well, I understand," he said finally, hanging up the phone.

He turned to Dr. Mang, his face stern.

"Dr. Mang, it seems you were mistaken. Miss Lu is indeed qualified to perform the surgery."

Dr. Mang's jaw dropped, her face paling with shock.

"Impossible!"

"Do you dare tell that to Simon Lu?" Dean Chen asked.

Simon Lu is a legendary figure in the medical world, known for his groundbreaking research and surgical innovations. He is considered a pioneer in the fields of cardiology and neurosurgery, with numerous patents and awards to his name.

Despite his impressive credentials, Simon Lu is notoriously reclusive, rarely making public appearances or accepting invitations to speak at conferences. His true age and background remain a mystery, fueling countless rumors and speculation.

What is known is that he is a mentor to many of the world's top surgeons, including Dean Chen. His opinion carries immense weight in the medical community, and his endorsement of Viviana's abilities is a staggering revelation.

Dr. Mang, realizing the gravity of her mistake, stumbled backwards, her face flushed with embarrassment and anger.

"How... how is this possible?" she stammered, her eyes darting between Dean Chen and Viviana.

Dean Chen ignored her, turning his attention to Viviana. Not only that Simon Lu master is a true mystery when he just called Simon Lu when he said the woman name Simon Lu was not rude at all actually it sounded like he wanted to speak to her but had something to handle.

"Can now do it? So Simon Lu is your disciple?" Viviana asked indifferently.

"Yes."

Viviana nodded her head. She slightly smirked when she turned around it seems like that foolish disciple of hers picked up a good disciple that didn't piss her off.

"Alright you will help me with the surgery," she said after a long moment.

Dean Chen nodded, his expression a mix of awe and curiosity. He had never met Simon Lu's mentor before, and he was eager to learn more about her.

"Of course, Miss Lu," he said, gesturing for her to follow him.

"We'll prepare the operating room immediately."

As they walked through the sterile corridors of the hospital, Dr. Mang trailed behind them, her mind reeling. She couldn't believe that a girl barely out of her teens was not only endorsed by Simon Lu but also capable of performing such complex surgery.

"How... how did you come to study under Simon Lu?" she asked, her voice tinged with a mix of envy and admiration.

Viviana glanced back at her, her golden eyes piercing.

"That's none of your concern," she replied coldly.

"What matters is that I can save this man's life. Can you say the same?"

Dr. Mang fell silent, chastened by Viviana's rebuke. She watched as the girl disappeared into the operating room, her mind racing with questions.

She looked at the information about this man his name was Li Cho Wong he is 70 years, had a brain tumor and heart tumor. Vivian scanned the chart and she found this operation will he the easiest operation she has ever done.

She cleared her throat and spoke her name. After that Dean Chen was there to assist her.

As Viviana prepared for the surgery, she couldn't help but think about the irony of the situation. Here she was, a girl who had once been ridiculed and dismissed, now standing in a stateoftheart operating room, about to perform a complex procedure that would save a man's life.

She glanced at Dean Chen, who was busy setting up the equipment. He seemed nervous, but also excited to be assisting her.

"Have you ever seen Simon Lu operate?" she asked, her voice muffled by her surgical mask.

Dean Chen shook his head.

"No, but I've heard stories. They say he's a genius, a true master of his craft."

Viviana nodded, a hint of a smile in her eyes.

"He is," she agreed, her hands moving with practiced ease as she scrubbed in.

"But you will learn more from me than an idiot," Viviana said and Dean Chen and everyone else were speechless.

She became serious.

"We will do the heart operation first after that we will do neurosurgeon surgery next," Viviana said.

Dean Chen swallowed hard, trying to process Viviana's bold statement. He had never met anyone so confident, so assured of their abilities. It was both intimidating and inspiring.

"Yes, of course," he managed to say, his voice steady despite his nerves.

"I'll assist you with the heart surgery first, and then we'll move on to the neurosurgery."

Viviana nodded, satisfied with his response. She turned her attention to the patient, her expression focused and determined.

"Let's begin," she said, her voice commanding and clear.

As the surgery progressed, Viviana's skill became increasingly apparent. Her hands moved with a precision and grace that left the entire operating room in awe. She navigated the complex heart surgery with ease, her knowledge and technique far beyond her years.

Dean Chen watched in amazement, learning from every move she made. He couldn't believe the level of mastery she possessed, and he found himself grateful for the opportunity to observe and assist her.

As they completed the heart surgery and moved on to the neurosurgery, Viviana's confidence only grew. She approached the brain tumor with the same precision and care, her fingers dancing delicately as she removed the malignant growth.

"Please read chart out for me," Viviana said her face was fully covered and there was sweat dropping down.

Dean Chen quickly grabbed the chart, his eyes scanning the information. He read aloud, his voice steady and clear despite the gravity of the situation.

"Patient: Li Cho Wong, 70 years old. Diagnosed with a grade IV glioblastoma, a highly aggressive brain tumor. The tumor is located in the left frontal lobe, near the motor cortex. It has been growing rapidly, causing severe headaches, seizures, and memory loss."

Viviana listened intently, her brow furrowed in concentration. She nodded, her hands never pausing in their delicate work.

"Continue," she said, her voice muffled by her surgical mask.

"Treatment options were limited due to the tumor's location and aggressiveness."

"Okay now tell the levels for the heart level, blood pressure, oxygen and extra," Viviana said. A nurse spoke up as she looked at the machine.
