Chapter 6 - Chapter 5: Entering the Black Street

Quietly enter the street, no noise allowed.

Horn hid in a dim corner and gently zapped a North Wind Knight who seemed to have drunk the most with lightning.

Slightly manipulating elements is something every wild witch can do, but the power is too small.

Real powerful spells require incantations. Spells released without incantations can't even kill a chicken.

The lightning Horn manipulated naturally didn't involve incantations, so the effect of these electric currents was only to stimulate the knight to urinate.

However, that was exactly Horn's purpose.

They were chatting merrily when a knight suddenly felt an unbearable urge to urinate. He covered his crotch and walked towards the corner. Just as he pulled out his "little brother" and before he could relieve himself, a hand pressed on his face. Pale blue electric light flashed, and he twitched all over and fell to the ground.

As he fell, his "little brother" lost control, and a large amount of urine wet the ground. The remaining four knights burst into laughter, gasping for breath.

This guy is so useless. Can't he handle this little bit of wine?

Didn't he brag to us that he could drink a thousand cups without getting drunk?

They didn't see that at the moment the knight fell, a hand retracted into the corner.

Two knights walked over together, intending to push the fallen knight awake.

Although it was funny, they couldn't let their comrade lie in the urine all night.

However, the moment their hands touched the fallen knight, these two knights also twitched all over and fell to the ground.

The knight squad leader was much stronger than the other knights. When the two knights went to push the fallen one, he kept his eyes fixed on them. He was sure he saw pale blue electric arcs on the two knights' bodies!

This meant there was a transcendent being around!

He saw the fourth knight also wanting to go over to check the situation, and the knight squad leader quickly shouted, "Don't go over!"

"Ah?" The fourth knight turned his head and looked at his boss. They were all drunk. Why couldn't he go over? Just let them sleep on the ground all night?

Except for the squad leader, all these knights were so drunk that they were out of their wits. Except for the squad leader, no one had basic vigilance.

As he turned his head in confusion and looked at the knight squad leader, a hand gently landed on his shoulder. A blue light flashed on that hand, and this knight only managed to turn his head back halfway before rolling his eyes and fainting.

As the knight fell, a figure in a black robe appeared in front of the knight squad leader. It was a person hiding himself in a black robe. He wasn't very tall. Wearing a loose robe, he looked rather thin. The black robe was edged with silver thread, and a six - pointed star pattern was drawn with gold thread at the hem.

In the eyes of the knight squad leader, this person was like an evil wizard!

This black - robed person was, of course, Horn.

What knocked down the four enemies was the first - ring spell: Lightning Touch!

For Horn, who could cast third - order spells, casting a first - ring spell didn't require any medium. He could just chant the incantation to cast it.

According to Douglas's teachings, there are three strict requirements for casting spells:

The first is magic power. The caster's magic power sea must have enough magic power. Only with sufficient magic power can a spell be cast completely.

The second is the magic circle. Each spell has its own inherent magic circle. Through meditation, the magic circle is solidified in the inner space of consciousness, and then the incantation is chanted to activate the magic circle, which can then attract magic elements in the air to achieve the casting effect.

The third point is the incantation. The incantation is the key to activating the magic circle. Without knowing the incantation, having strong magic power is of little use.

If there is a fourth point, it is the medium. A wild witch's body is not strong enough to support the casting of spells of the same level. For example, if Horn wants to cast a third - ring spell, he must use a medium.

The so - called medium is the staff.

Currently, Horn can cast spells normally with a medium. Without a medium, he can only cast first - ring spells, and there are no side effects other than some slight stinging.

As for second - ring spells, Horn once forced himself to cast one without using a wand and ended up lying in bed for a month.

Speaking of magic, there was no magic in Ceylon before. All wild witches could do was use their natural talents to cast some insignificant tricks.

But the appearance of Douglas changed this situation. He taught Horn some spells he had completely created himself and simply named them, such as Lightning Touch and Fireball Spell.

And Horn called these spells that had never appeared in Ceylon,

Magic!

"Who are you?" The knight squad leader faced Horn as if facing a great enemy, staring at him intently without the slightest slack. He wasn't even a first - order professional. Naturally, he had to be on high alert when facing Horn, who clearly wasn't a good person.

As far as he knew, the guy trapped in the Black Street was a first - order professional, but wild witches usually had extremely low combat power. Even he didn't take them seriously. So the North Wind Church had at least one guard close to the first - order at each intersection to ensure that the heretic wouldn't escape.

Although the knight squad leader himself wasn't a first - order professional, he had a rough estimate of Horn's strength. The person in front of him was definitely not a first - order professional. Although the pressure he exuded was slightly weaker than that of the White - robed Deacon, it wasn't much different. And the White - robed Deacon was a third - order powerhouse!

He didn't know what abilities the guy opposite had and didn't dare to attack rashly.

He could only be on high alert and look for an opportunity to report the situation here.

But Horn obviously didn't have such concerns. He took out a small wooden stick from his robe, pointed it at the knight squad leader, and softly chanted a few syllables. A pale blue electric arc as thick as a thumb lit up at the tip of the small wooden stick and hit the knight squad leader at lightning speed. He didn't even have time to react before fainting.

Second - ring spell: Arc Spell.

Horn picked up the staff and saw that it was slightly charred. He couldn't cast third - ring spells, but second - ring spells could still be managed.

He had entered the Black Street, and there were no more obstacles to the mission of rescuing Enoch!

...

Every wild witch awakens a natural spell when they awaken, but countless bloody tragedies have warned all wild witches that the consequence of casting a natural spell is death!

This view is still prevalent among all wild witches. No one knows that spells can be cast through oak sticks, and no one would take the risk of trying one by one.

Perhaps the only exception is old Douglas.

Enoch's natural spell is illusion. His original ability was only to make the other person have some insignificant auditory and visual hallucinations through his own will. But after casting through a medium, he could do much more.

After nearly a month of Horn's teaching, Enoch can now create illusions out of thin air just by chanting incantations. Although it can't cause direct damage, it's enough for him to hold out for a long time against the pursuit of many North Wind Church deacons. He even killed two first - order North Wind Church deacons. If it were the old Enoch, being discovered would have meant death!

Since Enoch learned from Horn's teachings that using a medium to cast spells could succeed, he always carried a dozen oak sticks with him. The limit of his spell - casting ability is the first - ring, so a staff can be used about nine times.

It's a pity that what he didn't expect was that

It was his magic power that was exhausted first!
