Chapter 11 - Chapter 11

Tracy and Irish had lunch together. After eating, they separated because Irish needed to go to work. Tracy didn't want to bother her.

Tracy wanted to sell some gold jewelry, so she didn't go to the special shop. She didn't know if anyone had come to buy things while she was away.

Since she was waiting for news, she thought it was a good time to go and check. Tracy went home and entered the special shop. She opened the door and saw that no one was waiting outside.

It seemed like no one had come while she was gone. This was normal because Kei and the others had already traded a lot of things last time. They needed time to use or handle those items.

Kei and the others might take a few days before coming back to trade again. Also, no one knew about this shop unless they had visited before. So even if someone walked by, they wouldn't wait at the door.

Thinking about this made Tracy feel a bit sad. She didn't know if she had missed some new customers. She needed to come up with an idea because she couldn't stay in the shop all the time. If someone came and she wasn't there, that would be a problem.

After thinking, she took a large white paper and stuck it on the wall inside the shop. Nothing in the shop could be damaged, so she didn't worry about anyone tearing it down.

She used a brush to write the rules of trading. Since she couldn't be there all day, she explained that the shop was open during certain hours and listed the prices of the items.

Even though she wrote the business hours, she couldn't always be present. She had things to do. So she thought of a new idea. She placed a small box at the door.

If a customer came and she wasn't there, they could write what they wanted and the time they planned to come back. That way, she could know their needs even if she missed them.

Every trade was very important to both Tracy and the shop.

This wouldn't bring new customers, but at least it would keep the old ones. For example, if Kei and the others came but didn't see her, it might affect their trust in her.

By leaving a way to contact her, they wouldn't feel disappointed even if they didn't see her. It also showed she was serious about running this shop, so they could feel safe to trade again.

Tracy stayed in the shop for two hours, but no one came. As the sun was going down, she quietly closed the shop and returned to the real world.

For the next few days, she couldn't stay in the shop for too long. She needed to wait for a reply from Mr. Yan. If she missed his message because she was in the shop, she could lose an important chance.

If she didn't have enough money, she wouldn't be able to open her shop in the real world.

Without a steady income, she would have more problems. Opening a small shop would help her. It could also work as a storage place for the special shop and bring her some money to cover daily needs.

When she opened her bag, she found something strange inside. It looked like a USB stick.

But it didn't have the normal plug that fits into a computer. She didn't know when or how it got into her bag.

It didn't look useful. Maybe it was just some trash that ended up there by accident.

Tracy casually threw the USB-like object into the trash can.

That night, under the bright moon, Huro stood in front of a hotel. He looked completely different now.

Huro had been trained as a spy. With just some makeup, he could change his face. Even people who knew him well might not recognize him. It was a very impressive skill.

He had several fake ID cards with him. He could become someone else anytime he needed to.

After choosing one ID, he changed his face to match and walked into the hotel like a normal guest. He wasn't afraid of the police finding him.

Checking into the hotel openly helped him avoid the places where police were searching the most. It actually made him safer because the police wouldn't expect him to do something so obvious.

Inside his hotel room, Huro turned on a computer and started looking for information. Earlier, he had to hide some secret files he stole from the lab. In a rush, he had put them in a girl's bag.

He didn't know who she was. Now he had to find her and get the files back.

Huro was not only strong and smart. He was also a skilled hacker.

In less than thirty minutes, he found the girl's name and where she lived. When he looked at the address, he frowned. It was a bit far from where he was staying.

He decided to rest for a while before going there. Fighting against the police these past days had made him very tired.

Also, she was just a normal girl. Getting the files back would be easy. He never thought he might fail.

In the middle of the night, Huro woke up and left the hotel. He was ready to act.

After around thirty minutes, he arrived at Tracy's apartment building. He followed the address and found her door.

He pulled out a thin piece of wire and carefully opened her door.

He made no sound. He was still being hunted, and one small mistake could put him in danger.

Huro quietly closed the door and walked into the bedroom where Tracy was sleeping.

He heard her steady breathing and knew she was in deep sleep. Still, he wasn't at ease. He took out a small bottle of sleeping spray and sprayed it a few times in the air.

Now he didn't have to worry about Tracy waking up and seeing him. He was only here to take back something that belonged to him. He had no intention to harm anyone.

If she suddenly woke up and saw his face, then he would have no choice but to silence her. Killing didn't bother him, but if someone died, the police would get involved. That would cause him more trouble.

This sleeping spray was made by his organization. It worked very well. Just a little bit could make someone sleep through the whole night.

Even if he wanted Tracy to wake up now, it wouldn't be possible. By the time she opened her eyes, he would already be gone. She would just think she had slept deeply.

After making sure she wouldn't wake up, Huro started searching for his documents.

Earlier, when he was being chased by the police, he had hidden the files inside Tracy's bag.

Soon, he found the same bag. But after searching through it, he didn't see the documents.

What was going on? He clearly remembered putting the files in that bag. Why weren't they there now?

Could Tracy have found the documents and taken them out?

Huro had no choice but to search the whole room. He even looked through the bed where Tracy was sleeping. Still, he found nothing.

This made him feel very troubled.

Did the police already take the files from her bag?

If that was true, then he had made a huge mistake.

He had thought putting the files in her bag was smart. The police were focused on chasing him and wouldn't pay attention to a normal girl. But clearly, he was wrong.

What should he do now?

Tracy was unconscious. He couldn't ask her any questions.

He had used too much spray. She might not wake up until the afternoon.

He blamed himself. If he hadn't used the spray, he could have woken her and asked her directly.

Now the documents were missing. He had no clue where they were.

The organization had spent a lot of time and money on getting that information.

Even someone like him, their best spy, had to come out in the open.

If the files were lost, everything they did would be useless.

There was no use panicking.

Huro carefully put the room back the way it was. Everything looked untouched, like no one had been there.

He left quietly.

He didn't know if the police were watching Tracy.

If the police had really gotten the documents, then they might be waiting for him to show up.

He checked the area carefully. He didn't see anyone following him.

But to be safe, he didn't return to his old hotel.

He walked around the city for a while, changed his appearance, and disappeared into the crowd.

Now what? The files were missing.

If the police had them, that would be bad.

And the only person who knew what happened, Tracy, was asleep because of his own mistake.

He had to wait for her to wake up and then find another chance to get close and ask her.

Huro had no idea the truth was simple. Tracy had thrown the documents into the trash.

Huro had searched every corner of the room but never thought to check the trash can.

He never imagined someone would throw away something so important.

The next day, the special team sat together to discuss how to catch Huro, the spy who had escaped them.

"Captain, the police already searched the area yesterday. They found nothing. Huro just vanished.

We checked the street cameras too, but there were no signs of him. What do we do next?" Irish asked.

"He's still in the city," Cris replied.

"He's very good at hiding. Last time, he escaped right under our noses.

Now we've lost him again, and it's going to be even harder to find him."

"This is so annoying. Everyone in our team is strong. But we're getting played by a single spy.

If it were a real fight, face-to-face, we wouldn't lose. But this guy is hiding like a mouse. He keeps running," Yifan said.

"Stop complaining," Cris said.

"I've been thinking. Maybe we made a mistake in our plan.

He's a top-level spy. Maybe he never hid the documents at all. Maybe he kept them on himself the whole time."

"So we missed our chance," Yifan said.

"We met him in the café. If we had known, we could've caught him then and taken the files.

But now he's gone, and we have no way to find him."

"It's not over yet. Let's go talk to the police again. Ask if they saw anything strange that day.

If Huro had the documents with him, he might have passed them to someone at the café.

Our team is well known. He wouldn't take the risk of keeping the files on him if he thought he might be caught.

He probably gave them to someone else before escaping," Cris explained.

"Why didn't we think of this before?

There weren't many people in the café.

And I remember he went to the bathroom during that time.

If we remove the customers who didn't go to the bathroom, there won't be many suspects left.

We might be able to find the documents," Yifan said.

"This is just a guess. We don't know for sure.

But we've lost track of Huro, so we should act now.

Irish, go get the list of customers who were in that café.

Then assign people to watch them.

If Huro really gave the files to one of them, he'll come back to get them.

I just hope we're not too late.

It's already been one night. We should've thought of this sooner," Cris said.
