It was just an ordinary day for Nicol - Thursday, January 2024.
After school, she went to hang out with her two good friends, Veronika and Majda. They talked about life, laughed a lot, and filmed some funny videos together. At one one point, they teased Nicol and asked "So, when are you finally going to get a boyfriend?"
Laughing, Nicol shrugged and said "Fine I'll dowland Badoo just for fun. Nothing's going to come of it anyway."
So she downloaded the app and started swiping through guys with girls, just for laughs.
Then she saw 𝗁𝗂𝗆.
A photo of a guy who immediately caught her eye not because he was some model, but beacuse he seemed... kind. Funny. Like someone she'd want to talk to. So she gave him a like.
Nothing happened right away. She kept swiping,liking a few other guys.
But then...
A message popped up on her screen.
Nicol smiled at her phone and opened the message. And she sent him the automatic message on badoo that said, Nicol: "Hi Max, I hope you're having a great weekend!"
Max replied with: "Hey, it was alright. Gotta say, i appreciate that automatic message from Badoo 😂😅 but its's all good bonus point for being the first to message"
Nicol smiled, and her friends asked why she was grinning at her phone. She showed them what Max had written and just then, Max sent another message.
Max: "I have the same bed ☺️😅"
Nicol started smiling at her phone and replied with, "Yeah, it sent that by itself i didn't know what to say 😂"
Max replied, "No worries, like I said, I appreciate that you messaged first. I was going to text you once I got home , but you beat me to it😅"
Nicol replied, "Oh, i see😂"
Max replied, "Miss, i hope you won't be offended if i text you later I'm out with a friend right now, and i want to give attention to both him and you, but it's hard to balance."
Nicol replied, "Yeahy yeah, it's all good. I'm also outside right now, so i can't at the moment."
Max wrote: "So we'll meet in the evening here?"
Nicol replied " Yes yes"
Since then, nothing happend, and Nicol went home from her friends', her head full of thoughts. She hoped Max would text her, because he seemed like the most normal one of all kind, and really handsome.
Nicol got home and kept thinking about him. Suddenly, she got a message and she looked."
Max wrote: "I'm home now."
"And he wrote: "Wouldn't it be better to text on instagram"
"Nicol replied: Yeah, that would be better,and she sent him her username on instagram."
