Simula Realm, Planet Dahilan.
Quan was standing atop a mountain peak, a whithering rose slowly turning to dust within his hand. Its petals, now black as the night falling onto a glass coffin, before disintegrating into nothingness.
Within this coffin lays a woman, eyes shut, *forever*.
The will of the heavens couldn't be escaped by her, and whatever unending might Quan thought he held, it was nothing against the world and its own set of laws. He moved, for the first time in decades. And with the movement of his palm, the rose fully fell apart, its dust settelling atop the coffin, before being blown away by the wind. He touched the coffin of the woman, and it suddenly disappeared, appearing with her still inside, in his own dimension that was forming within his body.
Appearing before her corpse, he spoke: ""We Will be far from the scourge of disease, and life as immortals. We Will never experience apathy, It is only a universe away. I promise I will reach that place, even if i'll have to step on our heaven."
So, even if his own might wasn't enough to stop the heavens from taking her from him, he went out on a journey to find the absolute strength again. He learned all he could within his realm, studied under each and every scholar, fought with every master. He felt he was becoming stronger.
He travelled throughout the universe, visiting the great bhuddists from the northern universe. He learned their ways of purging evil, yet he couldn't purge the pain that held him. He visited the demons in their own realms, learned from them to utilise the powers of emotions, yet his sadness wouldn't leave him. He travelled far and wide, learning from the masters of the world, yet he was only falling deeper into his decend.
When standing below the most powerful man in the universe, he felt the laws of decay enter his soul. He felt he could make everyone bend below him. He thanked the man for his guidance, even though he hadn't received his yet, and bowed down before taking a step, that made him disappear from the world, his body reappearing planets away, in front of a temple. He touched the pillars, and they disentegrated, the same way the rose had. After them followed the altar, turning into dust.
He held his hand onto the heavens, and they fell before him, turning into nothingness. Yet, when he went to find the promised other universe, he stepped into a vast nothingness, and when he tried to create again, his own world was fading inside him. She was already gone, not even the coffin remaining.
He was fading. Yet it felt cathartic.
A hand reached out to him. He couldn't grab it.
