Chapter 11 - Chapter 11 {Return}

The doctor worked tirelessly, administering fluids and nutrients to Arwen's weakened body. Ye Shufen paced the room, his eyes never leaving Arwen's pale face. He was a man used to control, to power, but in this moment, he felt helpless.

Hours passed, and slowly, Arwen began to stir. Her eyelids fluttered, her breathing steadying. Ye Shufen was by her side in an instant, his hand reaching for hers.

"Arwen," he whispered, his voice thick with emotion.

Arwen's eyes opened, focusing on Ye Shufen's face. She tried to pull her hand away, but he tightened his grip, refusing to let her go.

"Why?" she croaked, her throat dry and painful.

"Why did you save me?"

Ye Shufen's expression softened, a rare vulnerability in his eyes.

"Because, Arwen," he said, his voice low and intense.

"You're mine. And I can't die I am the only one who kill your!"

Arwen was so speechless this crazy man!

Three days later

Arwen opened her eyes this isn't her room she looked around and found Wu Dong standing there as he held files.

"Lady Arwen please eat this and drink this, General Ye is out for four days."

Out for four days Arwen was so happy that the sadness she had washed away. She hopped off the bed and opened the curtains and she turned around four days of freedom this is good this is so good!

Wu Dong watched as Arwen's face lit up with joy, her earlier sadness replaced by a burst of energy. He couldn't help but smile, relieved to see her recovered.

"Yes, Lady Arwen," he said, handing her the tray of food and drink.

"The General has gone to Hong Kong for business. He won't be back for four days."

Arwen's eyes sparkled with mischief as she took the tray, setting it aside without even glancing at the contents. Four days of freedom, away from Ye Shufen's controlling grasp it was more than she could have hoped for.

"I'm going for a walk," she announced, heading towards the door.

Wu Dong frowned, concern etched on his face.

Ye Shufen's eyes flashed with rage as he watched Arwen on the screen, her carefree laughter echoing through the mansion. He clenched his fists, his nails digging into his palms. How dare she enjoy herself without him? How dare she forget her place?

The women around him tittered nervously, sensing the shift in his mood. One of them, a blonde in a revealing dress, placed a hand on his arm.

"General, perhaps we could distract you?" she purred, her voice dripping with invitation.

Ye Shufen brushed her off, his gaze never leaving the screen. Arwen was walking through the gardens now, her hair blowing in the breeze, a smile on her face. It infuriated him.

"No," he growled, standing abruptly.

"I have more important matters to attend to."

He strode out of the room, leaving the women in stunned silence.

At the other mansion

Arwen was sitting down as she held a book in her hands her long black wavy hair flowed down her back she was wearing a simple white shirt and shorts her shirt was long it covered her shorts. As she opened up the book it had different types of formula in medicine.

Arwen's fingers traced the intricate formulas on the page, her eyes scanning the symbols and equations. Medicine had always fascinated her, the way it could heal and save lives. It was a field she excelled in, a talent she possessed even without remembering.

She was so engrossed in her studies that she didn't hear the soft footsteps approaching. It wasn't until a shadow fell across the page that she looked up, startled.

Zhang Ming stood there, his expression unreadable.

"Lady Arwen," he said, his voice calm and polite.

"The General will be returning tomorrow evening. I suggest you prepare yourself."

Arwen's heart sank, her earlier joy evaporating. Ye Shufen, the man who controlled her every move, who imprisoned her in this gilded cage. She closed the book, her grip tightening on the cover.

"I see," she said, her voice flat.

"Thank you for the warning, Zhang Ming."

The butler nodded, turning to leave. But he paused, glancing back at her over his shoulder.

"If I may say, Lady Arwen."

"Please Grandpa Zhang go ahead," Arwen said out of the people in this mansion that respect her is Zhang Ming.

"Maybe you should cook something for the young master coax him?"

"Wasn't he supposed to be gone four days it hasn't even been a full day why should I coax a demon lord like him?" Arwen asked.

Zhang Ming's expression softened, a hint of sadness in his eyes.

"You underestimate your influence, Lady Arwen," he said gently.

"The General... he cares for you, in his own way. A good meal, prepared by your own hands, might soften his mood upon his return."

Arwen scoffed, crossing her arms over her chest.

"And what if I don't want to soften his mood?" she challenged.

Zhang Ming sighed, his shoulders sagging slightly.

"I understand your resentment, Lady Arwen. But the General is not a man to be crossed lightly. A small gesture of goodwill could save you much trouble in the long run."

He paused, his gaze drifting to the book in her hands.

"And perhaps, in time, you might find a way to... negotiate your situation."

With that, he turned and left, leaving Arwen alone with her thoughts. She looked down at the book, her mind racing. Cook for Ye Shufen? The idea was ridiculous, absurd. And yet...

She stood, walking over to the kitchen.

Arwen slammed her hands on the kitchen counter, her frustration boiling over. She couldn't believe she was even considering Zhang Ming's suggestion. Cook for Ye Shufen? The man who had imprisoned her, who treated her like a possession? It was insane.

But as she stood there, surrounded by the gleaming appliances and neatly organized ingredients, an idea began to take shape in her mind. If she was going to cook for that demon lord, she was going to do it on her terms.

She started pulling out ingredients, her movements precise and purposeful. She would make something spicy, something that would make him sweat and beg for mercy. A cruel smile twisted her lips as she began to chop and sauté, pouring all her anger and resentment into the dish.

As the aroma of the fiery concoction filled the kitchen, Arwen felt a sense of satisfaction. Let Ye Shufen try to control her now. She would show him that she was not to be underestimated.
