Adam opened the safety deposit box lid and found several things. Bundles of money, several passports and a gun.
[Forever1stCommenter (Earth): Whistle emoji.]
[Noobkiller9000 (Earth): First Wick and now Bourne.]
[Prestigious3horns (Vinox 2): Wick and Bourne?]
[Noobkiller9000 (Earth): They are characters from Earth films, the contents of this safety deposit box look an awful lot like the ones in a Bourne movie.]
[Prestigious3horns (Vinox 2): Interesting, I hope to be able to watch them one day.]
[StealthAssassin9 (Earth): This looks like a go box, I mean there is even a gun in it.]
[Gunlovergirl (Earth): That's a Glock 20 Gen4.]
[StealthAssassin9 (Earth): Is there any gun you don't recognise?]
[Gunlovergirl (Earth): Other than the streamers, nope.]
[Sparesomechangebro (Earth): Hey streamer grab me some of that cash bro.]
As he was removing the items and placing them on the table Adam noticed a silver object underneath and soon realised it was a laptop.
"Ah, here we go."
[AlamoMatador4thewin (Earth): No way he did it? Is this going to have the evidence on?]
[1000yearsofdeath (Earth): He has to get out yet and I bet you anything the laptop is also password protected.]
Adam opened the laptop before powering it on and after it booted up it did indeed ask for a password.
[1000yearsofdeath (Earth): Told you kekeke.]
Adam held his uniband up to the laptop but nothing happened until he heard Spector speak.
[This device does not seem to have any wireless access, either it does not have the ability or it has been disabled.]
[Whostolemyduck (Earth): That was smart, without wireless access someone can't just normally hack into it like the streamer just tried.
Adam moved his uniband towards one of the USB ports and the uniband scanned it before once again growing another section that soon transformed into a USB cable.
[SciFifanboy (Earth): THAT'S STILL SO SCIFI.]
[Handsome3horns (Vinox 2): Guys, his uniband is doing that strange thing again.]
[Justiceistruth: (Earth): I still can't get used to that.]
Adam plugged the uniband USB cable into one of the computer's USB ports and a moment later the laptop unlocked and he gained access.
[Superhearofangirl (Earth): You were saying @1000years of death.]
[1000yearsofdeath (Earth): Damn it. Frustrated emoji.]
"Scan the entire laptop and tell me what we have." Adam instructed.
[Affirmative. Scanning…]
[Scan complete. As per our hypothesis this device contains information and evidence about cases Sarah Sanders was involved in even before she rose to become a chief investigator.]
[Evidence on here counteracts the given evidence at trial and proves that the evidence was tampered with.]
[Also there is a record of all monetary transactions she has ever received as well as who paid and for what.]
[Whostolemyduck (Earth): Whistling emoji. Jackpot.]
[Superhearofangirl (Earth): Why would they be so foolish to leave something like this lying around.]
[AlamoMatador4thewin (Earth): Most likely as ransom or bargaining material. If any of their former clients started to threaten them or worse silence them, they can threaten them back with all this information.]
[AlamoMatador4thewin (Earth): Also if they ever got caught they could offer this up as a way to reduce their prison sentence.]
[1000yearsofdeath (Earth): Sucks for them that it's instead going to be used as evidence against them. Kekeke.]
"Does it contain any information on Jenny?"
[[StealthAssassin9 (Earth): Ahhh it muted another name again.]
[Justiceistruth: (Earth): Come on streamer, tell us. We want to fight for justice.]
[Beinglittleisnotadisadvantage (Strathorp 7): That muting certain information is really unique, why don't the streamers on the universal subspace network use it?]
[Handsome3horns (Vinox 2): Because they're all fake.]
[Superior4horns (Vinox 3): While I agree with the idiot 3 horns comment about them all being fake. I actually believe they don't use it because there is no such function.]
[Handsome3horns (Vinox 2): You're an idiot.]
[Prestigious3horns (Vinox 2): What do you mean Superior 4?]
[Superior4horns (Vinox 3): I got curious about this function since I have never seen it before on any stream and so decided to look through the streaming settings. After carefully going through them all I was unable to find any such setting available.]
[Prestigious3horns (Vinox 2): That's a bit strange isn't it.]
[Superior4horns (Vinox 3): Indeed.]
[Affirmative. The device contains data and evidence regarding the murder of Jenny Downs including Francis Morose payment for the change of evidence, the altered coroner report and the original timeline of when things took place.]
"Good. Remove the password protection and make a copy all data from the laptop."
[Already done.]
"Good." Adam said as he turned the laptop off before closing it.
Adam put everything except the laptop back in the safety deposit box before leaving the room carrying both items towards the staff desk.
[Sparesomechangebro (Earth): Steamer the money man, come on. Even if your not going to keep any at least give me some,]
[Superhearofangirl (Earth): Shameless.]
[Justiceistruth: (Earth): Agreed, shame.]
Adam put the safety deposit box down on the staff desk while saying thank you to the bank staff member and then started leaving the bank.
As he walked no one interfered with him since he had done nothing wrong and passed all relevant security checks, while the guards did find him suspicious because he never took his hood down, they could do nothing since he had done nothing wrong.
As Adam stepped out of the bank Spector suddenly said.
[Target: Recover the evidence of the corrupt police officer complete.]
[Mission Complete.]
[Ending Stream]
Adam sighed as the stream ended before saying. "Access police records, specifically the internal affairs department and find the officer who is most likely to see this through and not be silenced before sending them the following message I'm about to give you."
"Also in thirty-six hours send all evidence and data we just collected to all major press and tv station outlets."
[Affirmative. Standing by to send message.]
"I have evidence regarding a corrupt police detective in Alamo City who has been altering evidence after receiving payoffs. I'm not willing to hand over the evidence in person in order to keep my identity a secret, so instead I have left it in a locker at Alamo City Grand Central Station. You will find the locker keys on top of the vending machine next to gate four."
[Email sent.]
…
At ACPD police headquarters, chief superintendent Amanda Smithers of the internal affairs department sat at her desk as she sorted through documents and read reports.
"Ne ne ne ne ne ne ne ne."
While she was hard at work a message alert tone went off on her phone that would make all her colleagues grown in annoyance if they heard it. None of them could understand why she had set her alert tone to the crazy frog tone that was popular back in the nineties.
She picked up her phone and looked at the message before raising an eyebrow as she read through it.
Her first assumption was that it was a scam message of someone just trying to get attention even though they said they didn't want attention and she would have ignored it if not for her work ethic.
Her work ethic demanded she check every lead even if most of them turned out to be fake or just kids messing around.
She grabbed her coat and headed out of her office causing her subordinates outside to look up from the desk before one of them said.
"Got another lead boss? You know it's probably another fake right?"
Smithers turned to the young man who spoke and was grinning before saying, "We don't know that Chambers, but since you're so interested then you're driving. Let's go."
Chambers smirk vanished as a frustrated sigh escaped his lips before he grabbed his own coat and followed his boss while his colleagues chucked at him.
…
Adam leaned against a railing as he looked out over the grand central station below him. People rushed around buying tickets and hastily making their way to trains so as not to miss them.
"Have you completed your analysis on the leaders of the five families?" Adam asked as he kept his eyes on gate four.
[Affirmative. Data and prediction algorithms suggest that while most of the familie heads will not interfere or come after you with regards to eliminating Francis and Viktor Morose, a few have the possibility with one being very likely.]
"Let me guess, the Morose family head."
[Correct. It is most likely that the Morose family head will order his people to pursue you and seek revenge so that they don't look weak. Also two other families have a chance of assisting them as data shows they don't like anyone challenging the five families position.]
"And if we go with the carrot and stick plan? What's the likelihood of success?"
[Analysis shows that if you act out the plan correctly it will have the desired effect.]
"I guess we are going with that then, you know what to do."
[Affirmative.]
