It was a gloomy day in the Daxon kingdom. King Potter had called an emergency meeting, and every one of the three high chiefs knew what it was about; it was about the ongoing war against a neighboring Kingdom known as Tarah.
Tarah is a much bigger and stronger Kingdom; their king is called the Supreme King because he rules over three more kingdoms apart from the Kingdom Tarah. The other three kingdoms he rules over have their own King but the kings pay tribute to the Supreme King.
King Potter became king two years ago, and since he had been crowned king he had declared war against Tarah so he and his kingdom could be free from the dictators of Tarah who call themselves the Supreme Kings.
The three high chiefs; Chief Roland, Chief Otto, and Chief Odo, including the King's first son, Prince Liam, a sixteen-year-old boy, all sat in the throne room, waiting for the arrival of King Potter.
King Potter walked in majestically as the king that he is, followed closely by his personal guard name, Stronghold. The chief bowed deeply to the king, and their head remained down until the king sat on his throne.
King Potter is a short, chubby man in his 50s; he wore a bronze crown. His eyes dart around the throne room settling on each of the chiefs one after the other.
"We all know why we are here, don't we?" King Potter starts "Two years ago we held a similar meeting to talk about the Tarah kingdom's rule on us, we all agreed to fight this war and be free from these tormentors, but now we've been fighting for two years and no battle has been won still, so it's time to decide if to continue with the war or stop it" the King paused staring at his chiefs once again before asking "what do you advice we do?"
"Your Majesty," Chief Roland, the head chief stood up to talk "I suggest we stop the war, we can't win this war, all we can do is stall but eventually they will find their way here and lay siege on us then it's will be either they kill is all or hunger do"
"And how do you suggest we do that head chief?" Asked chiefs, Otto
"Of course, the only way the Supreme King of Tarah Is going to stop the war is by putting ourselves at their mercy; we have to beg them to let us survive," Chief Roland explained. But Chief Odo disagreed, "That will be putting ourselves in the claws of a wolf" he opposed "They will have the advantage over us, demand anything they want from us, and we won't be able to say no"
"Do you then have a better way out of this?" Asked the head Chief "Do you think Supreme King Orlando would want to compromise? They already as the advantage and they know it"
"I agree with Chief Roland, father. I think we started the war at the wrong time" said Prince Liam.
"Very well then, a messenger will be sent to their war camp with the message that we want to end the two-year war, and we will decide on our next course of action based on their response. King Potter concluded.
"Yes, your majesty, " Bowed the chiefs.
King Potter raised and walked out of the throne room with his personal guard Stronghold following right behind him, while the chiefs bowed as the king exited the throne room.
When the King was gone, Prince Liam followed, leaving just the chiefs. The Head Chief Roland exchanged a short stare with Chief Odo before walking out of the throne room.
"I don't think it's wise opposing the Head chief like that" Cheif Otto pointed out before leaving too.
