As he entered the Dungeon, what greeted Ryuta was a spiral staircase, he watched as adventurer's calmly walked up and down the large staircase, capable of supporting groups of adventurers simultaneously moving up and down.
He could have just along with them, well- he would have, if he didn't have his magecraft that is-
Using his own technique [Whispering Wind] a movement technique that combines martial arts and magecraft-
Ryuta is able to control his footwork, breathing, body control and, along with his enhanced perception, he is able to move like a gentle breeze.
It did not use much energy, all it needed was focus and control and for Ryuta- this was second nature.
One thing he realized while heading towards the Dungeon was the overall lack of true- skill.
Some of the higher level adventurer's showed some "skill" but the rest?
Their footwork was sloppy, their bearings lax, even when entering the dungeon, despite showing tension, most of them carried the air of an amateur.
No, amateur was a too much for them-
They were idiots.
Ryuta had seen such idiots before, they were always the first to die and most of them did not reach the age of 30.
Why?
They were too proud and headstrong, that's why.
'Falna gave them too much-'
He thought about the power system of this world-
Falna, stats, abilities, skills, magic- to the people of this world, it was normal life, it was reality but to Ryuta- it was a fucking game!
A stupid one at that-
For a story, it was a good concept, it introduces a deep reliance on God's, God's who are unable to use their powers.
It was like asking a rabbit for power, they give it to you but you need to protect them, make sure they don't die cuz if they do-
You lose everything…
But that was not the problem-
The problem lie in the significant boost given by Falna.
Through killing monsters in the dungeon, people could get stronger.
Mastery of technique? Who cares, if you could kill monsters with pure force that's all fine and dandy.
Especially when monsters who are able to awaken army killing magic spells exists-
'If you could get a skill that could wipe out towns just by leveling up, then who would waste time honing their skill?'
Looking at it from Ryuta's perspective, all the adventurer's were following the same old method known as "min-maxing".
A term used to define the method of rapidly enhancing one's character in a game. Using the most optimal builds, following the most optimal paths. Ensuring that you could reach the highest level possible in as little time as needed.
It worked, it was fun, and in games? How else are you gonna compete with the thousands of whales doing the same method?
'The problem is that this is not a game…'
Ryuta sighed, maybe-
'If I got a system… maybe I would do the same…'
He thought, unfortunately or fortunately for Ryuta, he was not reincarnated with a system.
All he got was an origin that he had to really twist and understand just to reach the top.
Even Sukuna used his "master chef" innate technique to become the "King of Curses". Why couldn't Ryuta use his smithing origin to become a monster too?
Ryuta was not a perfect student, he was not a master of studying-
What he did master though was cheating-
Exploiting loopholes was his game and that was how he got through high school and even college-
Back in the Nasuverse, he used his knowledge of Magecraft from being a Fate fan to find loopholes and exploits in the system.
He developed techniques using the knowledge of his 200 hour stint playing Samurai Remnant- he was not a godly gamer okay! He was just a normal man with a normal level of reaction speed, memory and ability!
His highest rank in League was Gold and he's proud of that!
Ryuta, was not a golden boy but he achieved that position through hard work and endless grind-
He was not Sung Jin-Woo who could do the Saitama workout for a week and transform from a beanstalk to a fucking chad.
No, he did not have that reality altering hack-
He spent decades following a strict diet, working out, training and learning.
It was fortunate that he was not reincarnated in modern day Japan, if he was-
Returning to Orario, Ryuta was the type of guy who loved doing crazy things, but he also knew that to do such things he needed power, money and influence.
Now, watching the people walking in and out of the dungeon, he let his instincts take control-
[Whispering Wind] + [Reinforcement Magecraft]
Calmly he jumped towards the hole, no one noticed him, no one giving a shocked reaction.
Just a calm spring breeze blowing past as Ryuta plunged into the darkness…
Floor 1
"That was anticlimactic…"
Ryuta muttered as he landed gently, like a leaf falling from a tree. He made a superhero landing, acting like iron man but no one was there to see.
It was not only anticlimactic due to the lack of observers, he also found himself just on the first floor with no monsters in sight.
"I was expecting at least one mon-"
*ROAR*
A half human, half wolf monsters rushed towards Ryuta, it held a-
"Stick?"
As it lunged at him, raising the stick high up before smashing it down towards Ryuta's head-
*SNAP*
Ryuta did not defend, he let the attack hit him and as it did, the stick snapped-
"That's it?"
The monster- a kobold, did not seem to be bothered by its failed attack as it then lunged at Ryuta with its claws, its mouth opening wide trying to bite at him at the same time-
"Mindless beast…"
Ryuta muttered and a crimson flash had made the Kobold stop, its movements halted as a crimson line flashed in between its brows-
*Riiiiiip*
The two halves of its body split, a glowing stone appeared on one side of it's body as the two halves lay on the ground.
"Magic stone-"
Ryuta dug the glowing stone, a magic stone from the body, he observed it for a moment before tossing it up into the air.
Red blood like liquid emerged from his back forming a crimson bag- a sack that opened to catch the falling magic stone-
"If I really want to make a killing, I need to rush through the dungeon… excelia- well Hephaestus did say that I could aim to improve my stats to S before leveling up to give myself a stronger foundation… I guess I need to calculate it based on the amount of monsters killed-"
Ryuta thought for a moment, contemplating before his eyes flashed crimson.
"Why think? All I need to do is kill and gather… I guess it's time to show this world the terror of the Crimson Wind"
He said as a eight short swords manifested around him-
"[Yamata-no-Tsurugi]"
On his waist, the two tachi's glowed as they were drawn, a bloody air oozed out of the two blades-
"[Kusanagi]"
Ryuta's body was then enveloped by blood stained silver plate mail armor, an aura of blood and bones enveloping his entire being-
"[Bloodmail]"
A crimson world seeme to envelop Ryuta his crimson eyes looking like those of a demon as he smiled-
"Time to dance-"
With that declaration, Ryuta vanished, his movements subtle, like a gust of wind- no- a gust of crimson wind-
It blew through the first floor, second floor all the way to the fifth floor-
On that day, adventurers spoke of a monster, an invisible monster that killed all the dungeon monsters.
It was a bloody mist that killed all the monsters in its way and it continued on till it disappeared on the fifth floor.
