I woke up to the sun coming through the curtains and the birds chirping by the window. I looked down at Tess she was sleeping soundly her head on my chest. I picked up my phone to check the time 7:00 AM, I have to get up and get ready. My chosen mate will be at my Uncle's house at 9:00 AM. Feeling guilty I don't know how I'm going to explain this to her or to my family. Once her brother Damien finds out what happened we'll go at it. That's one fight I'm not looking forward to. Damien is born Alpha, with a temper like a tornado. Tess and Kendra are Alpha females, their parents were the Alpha and Luna of their pack high in the Carpathian Mountains. They came to our pack seeking refuge after the war, they lost their pack but kept their lives. They all still speak with the slightest Romanian accent, that's just another thing that makes Tess sexy. Smiling down at her I nudged her slightly " Hey baby we got to get up. I have some things to do. We should both go home and shower love."
" Ugh let's sleep a little longer, I'm exhausted." she whispered.
" You can go home shower then take a nap, and we can meet up when you get up " I answered.
" Fine." she sat up throwing her legs off the bed looking for her clothes. I joined her looking through the small pile of clothes. After we were dressed we walked out into the sunlight hand in hand. I opened the passenger door for her and helped her in the car. Driving her home was the hardest thing I've ever done, we pulled in her driveway and I gave her a soft kiss and pulled her in my arms. She opened her door and smiled at me.
" I love you always, only you. Remember that Tess. My heart belongs to and only beats for you." giving. a sad smile.
" I've always known that silly. I love you too. Always have always will." she smiled back getting out of the car. As she walked away from me into her house, I felt myself tear up. I will never have the life I want, but the pack will get what it needs. I take a deep breath in and head home. I run inside and straight for the shower, I can't have Tess's scent all over me when Jenna arrives. I get done get dressed and head into the kitchen. The smell of bacon, eggs, and sausage fill my senses. It's so good to be home, I walk into the kitchen and see Tristan and Uncle Ben cooking. Aunt Deidre sees me and jumps up pulling me into a hug.
" I'm so happy you've finally come home. We have all missed you like crazy." she said grinning at me.Uncle Ben hugs me " Son I'm glad you're back, don't leave us again like that." He patted me on the back and walked back over to the stove. Tristan nodded " Good morning brother." I nodded back" morning."
" How did it feel finding out Tessa was your mate? I bet you were excited and you definitely didn't see it coming. We got to get her introduced to the pack as it's future Luna, but she's been doing Luna type work for the past few years. She'll be great and the pack already adores her. Then we have to start planning her Luna ceremony." Aunt Deidre gushed.
" About all that, we all really need to talk." I told them. Just then there was a knock on the door, I got up to answer it. Jenna stood there smiling " Hello mate, I've missed you."
" Hey mate it's only been a little over 24 hours, you couldn't have missed me that much." I said grabbing her hand leading her into the kitchen. I noticed Jax was up and joined us.
" Everyone I'd like to induce you to Jenna Mueller, my chosen mate and Luna." I tried to sound confident. Uncle Ben started choking on a piece of bacon he snuck, Aunt Deidre looked devastated.
" What did you say?" Tristan looked angry.
" You mother fucker." Jaxon started to rush at me but his father stopped him. I just stood there looking around at them aimlessly. Welcome to my life of hell, it's started already.
