Cherreads

Chapter 6 - Nose

I run in my yard, kicking the tires wing hard

Slapping off the tree rubbery

Bursting with rain from its wells

I watch the mosquito on me

white feet back bloody red

I watch as it tries to drink

It greets my shoulder

And I harbor a bearable guilt for it

This pathetic thing on my flesh

My mooshy moundy body

I squeeze the fat on my shoulder cuff and smile

It will be gone more than soon enough

In a few years maybe

Sooner?

I pity this alcoholic parasite

I wish to fill its goblet with the blood of a noble hearted boy

The essence of a bold hero

This swordsman trapped in my soul

An armory guilded

In booby trapped

facaded flesh

The mosquito is empty

challace is empty

The mosquito flees

The chalice breaks

I can not wait myself

For the pounding moldable power

My body will flow outward

Into dying flowers

I'll feel the itching on my skin

I'll scratch my lard

The grass will irritate my ribs

The earth will breathe life into my new hearts layer of tissue

I'll feel it on my bare back

Near the left and right sides of my chest

Creeping below my collarbone

Only the sun has come this close

Only the sun

To warming my pinty joy

Filling my glass of happiness

The sun hasn't come this close before

I can't wait for the sun

Such as the words of icarus

These are

In my own wax pooled ways

The path I have

Carved into my masculinity

It shoulders blades

Into my bloody red back

And I will fall blissfully satisfied

With the fleeting infuriation of life

Boiling past

Behind me into the abyss of clouds

Lucifer has half of my soul

I am safe from nerves

Their temptations will not Pierce nor bleed me dry
