Because of his awakening of the Wood Style kekkei genkai, Nawaki had become the center of the Senju clan's hopes. It was a joyous event—but also a painful one.
First, he was dragged by the elders to pay respects to their ancestors. Then, they took him to the clan's archive, where his mouth watered at the sight of rows upon rows of ninjutsu scrolls. And finally, they issued a strict mandate: at least eight hours of ninjutsu training per day, plus two hours to "develop relationships" with women…
This was insane!
Sure, Nawaki was deeply interested in all the powerful jutsu passed down through generations of the Senju clan—especially Second Hokage Tobirama's Flying Thunder God Technique—but if he followed this schedule, then aside from training, flirting, sleeping, eating, and a bit of rest, he'd be left with only three to four hours of free time a day!
Totally unacceptable.
He still had to observe the Reincarnators' activities, recruit new candidates, and continue expanding the Lord God's influence. If he were kept under this kind of constant watch...
Well, maybe he wouldn't be exposed just yet.
After all, managing the Reincarnators only required him to lie down with his eyes closed. At most, people would just think he was a lazy kid who loved napping in the sun—no one would suspect he was linked to something like the Lord God System.
In a normal ninja world, who would even know such a thing existed?
"Granny Chihiro, Grandpa Zirai… don't you think this training schedule is a bit too rigid? If I'm always cooped up, training like a robot without real-life experience, I'll turn into a blockhead!"
Nawaki tried his best to reason with the elders.
He wasn't being disrespectful—not out of fear, but out of genuine respect.
These were the elderly who had given their lives for the Senju clan. Their harsh demands were born from hope and devotion. At twelve years old, Nawaki still had time, but these old souls—time was running out for them.
The two elders fell silent.
Seeing a hint of hesitation in their eyes, Nawaki struck while the iron was hot, pulling out all the stops—including putting on a bit of a spoiled-child act.
"Granny Chihiro~~ Grandpa Zirai~~"
They sighed and exchanged a look, helpless yet fond smiles appearing on their faces.
"All right, all right. Maybe us old bones are just meddling too much. You're right—Nawaki's only twelve. If we crush him under this burden, it would be our fault."
"Strength isn't built by locking yourself away. Lord Hashirama himself endured countless trials in his youth. If we confine Nawaki like this, we'll only be hurting him."
"Exactly. If you don't want to follow the schedule, we won't force you. But remember, all these jutsu are the crystallization of our clan's wisdom. Whenever you want, you can come and study them. The future of the Senju clan belongs to you."
Their words were filled with deep affection.
Nawaki let out a sigh of relief. These elders were indeed reasonable.
But the next moment, their tone shifted.
"However…"
"We won't push the training… but Nawaki, the Senju clan is short on heirs. You have to work hard in that area," Granny Chihiro said with a smile.
"That's right," Grandpa Zirai added, stroking his beard like a seasoned sage. "You're still young, but it's best to start building a connection with a future wife early. That Uzumaki girl, Kushina, isn't she quite lovely? She's got a good personality and a strong body constitution—just like the Senju. She'd make an ideal wife."
"Your Grandma Mito loved that girl dearly when she was alive. Always invited her over for chats. You two are close in age too—lots in common. Go talk to her more, spend time together, build a bond."
Kushina Uzumaki, orphan of the Uzumaki clan.
These elders didn't know she was now the Nine-Tails' jinchuriki, but just being an Uzumaki was enough to earn their favor. The Senju and Uzumaki clans had always been close, and the destruction of the Land of Whirlpools had only deepened that sense of kinship.
Their wish for Nawaki to get closer to Kushina made sense.
But Nawaki wasn't on board.
He had already set his heart on his sister. If he followed the elders' matchmaking plans with Kushina, what would happen to Tsunade?
Just as he was fretting, a cheerful voice called out.
It was Tsunade, back from her debrief with the Third Hokage.
"Nawaki! I'm off to the hot springs. Want to come with?"
"Yes! I'm coming!"
In a flash, images of mixed bathing and steamy hot spring scenes danced through Nawaki's mind, and his face turned bright red.
No! Calm down. I must not use the mind screen to peek at Sis in the bath. That would be way too perverted.
"Granny Chihiro, Grandpa Zirai, I'm heading out!"
Without waiting for a response, Nawaki bolted.
He arrived at Tsunade's side—and was promptly stunned.
She was wearing nothing but a thin bathrobe. Her curves strained against the fabric, threatening to burst free. The scene was enough to give a man a nosebleed on the spot.
Her golden hair was tied up, a towel slung over her smooth, bare shoulder, and a bottle of sake in hand.
"S-Sis… are you going out dressed like that?"
"What's going on in that little brain of yours?" Tsunade flicked his forehead with a grin. "I'm not going out like this. There's a small private hot spring at home. We'll soak there. Oh, and by the way—I want you to meet someone."
Nawaki sighed in relief. As long as they weren't going out in public...
Only I can admire my sister like this!
Just as he thought that, Tsunade pulled out a little girl from behind her.
The girl had long, flowing red hair, a black hair clip on the left side, big bright eyes, and a round, adorable face. She looked cheerful and sweet.
"Hi there! I'm Kushina Uzumaki. I came to Konoha from the Land of Whirlpools last year. Are you Granny Mito's grandson, Nawaki?"
"Uh… yeah, that's me."
Nawaki's face twitched. Tsunade and the elders clearly conspired together… no way this was a coincidence.
(Note: This bath is with underwear…)
Time passed quickly.
In the blink of an eye, twenty-seven days went by. A new month had arrived.
During this month, aside from training, Nawaki had roamed all over Konoha and handpicked three new Reincarnators.
To his surprise, despite the altered timeline, Jiraiya still ended up meeting Yahiko, Nagato, and Konan. Moved by sympathy, he took them in as disciples.
Nawaki took this opportunity to designate all three as Reincarnators.
Additionally, he used certain special means to select individuals from other ninja villages, successfully filling the system's Reincarnator limit.
"Finally, I can begin the next Reincarnator Mission… This is the first step toward legitimizing the Lord God System."
A smile curled at Nawaki's lips.
At that very moment, in different corners of the shinobi world, three people heard the same voice in their minds:
[Time's up. Reincarnator Mission begins.]
(TL/N - Time for a quick trip on One Piece world hahaha.)
