Chapter 5 - Level Unknown

Mi-cha's eyes sparkled, her heart dancing in her chest as she stole another glance at the boy who had effortlessly stolen her thoughts.

Sitting just a few desks away, Muhan Lockhart, the most adorable boy she had ever seen, was calmly listening to the ongoing Aura Theory lecture. His black hair shimmered faintly beneath the classroom's magical light orbs, and his eyes—those deep blue eyes—reflected stars she could lose herself in.

She couldn't concentrate.

No matter how hard she tried, the words on the board blurred into nothing. All she could see was him.

Professor Su-ho noticed the distant look in Mi-cha's eyes and approached with a soft, knowing smile. She leaned in close, her voice a teasing whisper.

"Mi-cha… it seems someone's stolen your heart."

Mi-cha jolted, her face flushing a brilliant red. She quickly looked away, trying to bury her flustered expression behind her spellbook.

"I-I don't know what you mean, Professor…"

Su-ho chuckled softly, giving her a reassuring pat on the shoulder before returning to the front of the class.

> Head over heels… and he doesn't even know, Mi-cha thought to herself, her heart still pounding.

Six Years Later…

Time passed like a comet's tail—blazing, beautiful, and unstoppable.

Now nine years old, Muhan and Mi-cha had become inseparable. What had once been a quiet crush had grown into something far deeper—an unspoken bond that tethered them together like constellations drawn in fate's sky.

Mi-cha walked beside him toward their Light-Magic class, hands folded behind her back as she occasionally peeked at his side profile.

He had grown.

Taller. Sharper. His once soft features were becoming defined, his aura more mature. And yet, his eyes still carried that same kindness—the warmth that had first made her heart flutter.

> He's really turning into someone incredible.

She smiled softly, her mind drifting to moments they'd shared: sparring in the field, studying late into the night, laughing under the twin moons of Wysteria. She didn't need to know his level to know how powerful he was—not just as a fighter, but as a person.

Muhan, blissfully unaware of the hurricane he caused in Mi-cha's heart, laughed with a group of friends—a rowdy elven archer, a serious Lycan warrior, and a genius human tactician. Every now and then, though, he'd turn to Mi-cha and flash her a radiant smile.

Each time, it made her feel like she was flying.

Class 6 had come a long way.

Once dismissed as a mid-tier class, they had climbed the academy ranks through sheer grit and teamwork. Their current standing among the ten academy classes was nothing short of remarkable. Each student had discovered unique powers, pushing themselves to grow stronger, faster, better.

Ji-hoon Rousewele, now at Level 45, remained one of the class's strongest—on paper, at least. But even as he flaunted his strength, a shadow of doubt had begun to creep into his heart.

Because there was one mystery he couldn't shake.

"Muhan Lockhart."

Despite training together, sparring countless times, and witnessing Muhan pull off impossible feats… no one could read his level. Not even the professors.

"I've tried every scan spell we know," Professor Su-ho said once in the staff meeting, arms folded, her eyes fixed on Muhan's profile. "It's as if his stats are sealed… or on another plane entirely."

Ji-hoon overheard once. The words haunted him.

> Even Professor Su-ho doesn't know? Then… what is he?

Jealousy simmered beneath Ji-hoon's polished demeanor, but he kept it buried—for now.

---

For Mi-cha, Muhan's level was the least important thing in the world.

She knew how he stood between her and a rogue fire golem last semester. How he held her hand when she was scared. How his presence alone made the world feel safer.

"I don't care if he's Level 1 or Level 1000," she whispered one night under the Wysteria starlight, watching Muhan practice alone in the training yard. "I just… want to stay by his side."

But the academy murmured louder each day.

What is Muhan's true level?

Is he hiding it… or is it simply beyond comprehension?

One thing was clear—the balance of Wysteria Academy was shifting, and at its center stood a boy whose presence defied logic, whose strength couldn't be measured.

And soon enough…

The seal hiding Muhan's level would crack.

And the world would never be the same again.
