Chapter 3 - 2. The clash

Rhea's POV

At night, while I stood on the balcony, the cool breeze brushing against my skin, I felt... peace. It was so good to be back after all these years. Spending time with family, meeting Daisy—everything felt so perfect. Slowly, steadily, it felt like I was healing from a trauma that still haunted me.

As I stood lost in thought, someone hugged me tightly from behind. I didn't need to turn—I knew it was Daisy. Of course, it had to be her.

When I turned around, she smiled mischievously and pulled me inside. We gossiped for hours, just like old times.

"See! It's been five years since we had pani puri together!" she said excitedly. "Let's go to the same stall tomorrow?"

"Oh yes, let's definitely go! I missed it so much!" I replied.

Then an idea hit me. "You know what? Let's have a girls' day out tomorrow—you and me."

She agreed instantly. That night, we went to bed giggling like kids.

Next Morning

"Are you ready? We're getting late!" I called out to Daisy.

"Yup! Just a minute!" she replied from inside.

A few moments later, she stepped out, and we headed outside. I spotted the car and immediately lit up.

"Can I drive, please?" I asked, practically begging.

She laughed and handed me the keys. "Go for it, madam driver."

We stopped at the mall first to catch a movie.

"You're a good driver, girl!" Daisy said, impressed.

I just smiled.

BASH!!!

What was that? A bomb?

Nope—worse. A car had hit us.

Shocked, I got out of the car and examined the damage.

"What the hell!!" I grumbled.

"Are you out of your mind?!" I shouted.

Out stepped a man—dressed in the most elegant suit I had seen. Tall. Sharp. Confident. And ridiculously good-looking.

Oh, great. A walking business magazine cover.

"Sorry. Now excuse me, please," he said flatly and began walking away.

"Excuse me?!" I said, my blood boiling.

"Huh?! Arrogant much?! It's your fault and you're showing me attitude?"

I stormed up to him.

"Hello, Mister Whatever-Your-Name-Is. It was your mistake, and I expect you to apologize properly and pay for the damage!"

He looked into my eyes with calm arrogance.

"I already apologized. And I'm not doing it again," he murmured coldly and walked off.
