Chapter 2 - Chapter 2

Despite the fact that curiosity kills a cat, I couldn't help but immediately run towards those people. One by one, I inspected each and couldn't help but frown at their situation.

There was a guy who was speaking, and his mouth was left open. There are kids that are playing tag. There was a dog who was jumping and he was left midair. There are leaves that are frozen right before they reach the ground.

I continued walking while observing the situation. This isn't the transmigration that I want! So it means that I am the only one who can move in this world? Then, what's the purpose of this transmigration?

"Oh, that girl looks so pretty," I couldn't help but admire the girl with long blonde hair and red eyes. She's wearing a commoner's clothing but beside her was obviously a maid. That maid has brown hair and green eyes. She was signaling something, but the blonde girl didn't notice it. In front of them is a guy with silver hair and blue eyes. He was a swordsman, based on the sword in his waist and his body structure.

The expression on their face screams that they are fighting. But what are they fighting?

As if on cue, I remembered a scene in one of my incomplete novels.

"Do you think I'll allow you to go near my maid?" Racia scoffed and threw a dagger look on him. But instead of backing off, he squinted his eyes, trying to intimidate the noble lady.

On the side, Dria just signalled the duke that they should talk later. That's because the lady mustn't know that someone are after her life and she was only pretending to be a maid to protect her.

After remembering that scene, my eyes widened. Aren't these people the main characters of the "Promised Doom", one of my incomplete novels? These three people in front of me are Racia, the princess of the kingdom, Dria, the maid of the princess and the commander of the hidden battalion of the duke, and Xior, the Duke of the North.

But what am I doing here? Right in front of the characters of my incomplete novel and why the hell are they frozen?

Come to think of it, this is the last part of my story. I got really, really bored that time so I stopped writing.

But the question lies on the fact that, why am I dreaming of this novel? And if I'm not dreaming, then, "Why am I seeing this?" I mumbled.

And as if something was triggered, a strong wind blew from the right. But when I shifted my gaze on the leaves, I was baffled that it's still in its position. So where did that wind come from? Is it another hallucination?

"Another writer again, huh?" a female voice interrupted my train of thoughts.

Eh? Just where did that voice come from? I wander off my gaze and I've seen no one.

"I'm right here, you idiot!" the voice boomed once again. Then suddenly a small ginger cat appeared. She's slowly walking towards me, and she's wearing an annoyed expression.

"A-a-a talking cat?" I trembled. If it was an ordinary day, I would've carried the cat and gave it hugs and kisses, but this one is strange. Why the hell is it speaking?

Damn. There's really something wrong with my head right now. What's happening in front of me seems so unrealistic but why does it feels so real?

"You're still in denial until now? Despite being a writer, don't you imagine, even once, that you'll get transmigrated in one of your novels?"

"Eh? Y-you're joking, right?" I chuckled but after seeing her serious expression, I paused. "Y-you... This is real? I am now a character in the novel?"

"Something like that," he confirmed, and I was left dumbfounded.

"So... How should I react? Should I faint in shock? Should I jump out of joy? Or should I just stare aimlessly in this frozen world?" I spoke, still stunned, which made the ginger cat even annoyed.

"I can't believe I've met a person as stupid as you!" she mocked and shook her head. Despite hearing such insults, my heart has melted by the cuteness of this cat. Especially when she shook her head, it was so adorable. I wanna run towards her and shower her with kisses.

"Just what the hell are you thinking?" it spoke angrily and raised its head. Then, a holographic clock appeared at her back, and time seemed to return back. "Now, you know what to do."

"Huh?" That's all I managed to say as I tilted my head. I'm so amazed by what I witnessed, and it feels like my brain lost everything and it's all empty. I don't know what to say, how to react or how to reply to her questions.

"Gosh! It's so obvious, Zeana. Why don't you get it at all? Like duh, girl, you literally just need to apply what you knew about reincarnation stuff and boom, you got the perfect ending." her voice was laced with insults and I could help but feel ashamed.

"So I just have to make the main characters reach the happy ending part? And that's all?"

The adorable cat with an attitude simply nodded before leaving me alone in this strange place. Right after the cat left, the world that was once frozen has gotten life and is now functioning properly.

The current scene in front of me are people that are celebrating something. My hunch is that, it is the day of the celebration of the crown prince's coronation. That means, it's still five days before Racia, Dria and Xior met in this alley.

So I really just have to change the plot of the novel so that this world won't freeze once again? Is that what that cute cat implies?

Alright. But I guess, I really transmigrated inside my novel?

And the title of my own story would become, "I am a writer but while making breakfast, I suddenly tripped and got transported into another world and met an adorable cat who reverses back the time and I was given a task to change the world's future".

Anyway, why do these countless questions just sink in to me, right after the cat left?

"Why did the world become frozen in the first place?" I murmured underneath my breath when I felt someone jabbed on my head.

"Why are you doing here, Zeana? Dria was looking for you everywhere, you know?"
