"Now, try not to scream." Mr. Joe waved his hand and a small black dagger appeared in it.
"I haven't taught you the technique involved in doing this so just focus on staying conscious. I don't want to see you trying to learn it." Mr. Joe waved his hand in front of Logan.
Lifting the blade above Logan, he plunged it into his legs.
Rather than scream like Mr. Joe was expecting, Logan merely grunted and clenched his fists.
"Nice resistance to pain but it's about to get worse." Mr. Joe warned as he started to drag the blade across his leg.
Carving runes and drawing sophisticated lines on Logan's legs, Mr. Joe's face was steeled.
Seconds quickly flowed into minutes but even that felt too slow.
Logan felt every inch of the cuts being made on his skin.
But he ignored and persevered. This was his only way to get power now.
After what felt like an eternity, Mr. Joe pulled away from Logan.
His eyes darted across the young man's legs to ensure the accuracy of what he had done.
