Roots… Roots of my writing… Well in most simplistic terms, it can be summarized into a statement: (That at some moment in my life, I decided that I will not be just a consumer, and created something on my own.)
Surely that answer will satisfy a quick chat, but we are here for a story. So, I will start by a claim, that I am not just a writer, but do other creative disciplines. Yes, we can say, that writer is a person who write, but from my standpoint; I can call myself a writer because my work is read by audience. Of course at beginnings, it was far from best, and most of work was not published. But now, my work is finding its way to people across the world. The legends says: "One must start its artist journey by making the crap first. Doing it for long enough, that it get good."
Normally, it take 50 to 100 times longer, to write something, that it take to read it. Like when I work on one book for like nearly two months and statistic says that certain someone from island in pacific, read it all during one day, or even shorter. I shall be happy that the reader was captivated by my story, but at the same time I was: "How dare you; to read it in single day, when it take me like two months to create it!? Its this how much my work/time is worth it?" So be careful with exploring what statistic says to you, it can be tricky.
Anyway, its not just you, decide to put some wild idea, imagination, story into a text, and it will instantly become a best thing ever made. No, writing it actually down is only a step one. The longest one, but step one. Then there is this editing step, where you must to depersonalize yourself. So you can ensure, that reader is lead by the story he read, (not you), that it don't know anything about the story. The text (story telling) must teach him everything that's needed to be know from reader perspective, in order to trick him to stay on the story until the end. Then, there is the question of typos that can sneak into the work. Because on how the human brain work (we don't read lonely letter in word, but the word itself) and the writer already having in mind the picture of how it shall be. So it can be really tricky, especially when unthinkable happen and you mistook one word for another. That's why a research is important and don't forget that just thinking about the story is counting to the "writing a book process". Even snack are first put on shelf/plate, long before you eat them. (most time)
Lets not forget that writing can have more that one shape. Like when I engage in Visual novels, or scripting in-game dialogues for digital games.
So, now you know...
