Chapter 10 - Mid Terms, Year 1

*After preparing everything needed Rowan sneaked out of the academy and towards the back alleys leading to an underground settlement which worked as a Black Market. To not expose his real identity Rowan was wearing a mask and full sleeves. Heading to the event spot to gain an exclusive item which can only be obtained by defeating the Black Market's Boss and a secret boss which could only be found by seasoned players. Using information from the game and the common pattern of the Balck Market's guards, he made his way thought the Black Market and into the Boss's room. Rowan was fully aware that killing the Black Market's Boss would lead to the arrival of a new boss in the Capital which was technically good for Rowan because if the Black Market was to go under the rule of who it is supposed to then he was able to gain another exclusive item and an alliance which was necessary for his plans. Rowan was extremely on guard because he knew that he could kill the Boss only by assassinating him because he was a mid level boss and killing him with Rowan's current states was nearly impossible without being knights. The Black Market's Boss was also known for being a terrible boss to fight early game because he can summon his guards and was strong enough to fight Royal Guards head on. Having played the game countless times and having done his exact assassination Rowan showed no hesitation stabbing the Boss's only weakness, a scar on his neck that cuts thought his Half Lizardman scales that were oddly strong and durable for a mutant half blood. Rowan took the ring from the Boss's finger and cleaning it before leaving as silently as he came. Rowan wasn't aware that he was being watched by someone from nearly the other end of the Underground City. The person's face was covered by an Obsidian Black mask with eyes of an pure half blood, meaning she was a real half blood and not a mutant made from a mad mage's illegally made experimental potion as well as a baggy robe that overed it's complete body.

Rowan was able to escape unharm and unseen by anyone else. Returning to his academy dorm Rowan wore the ring which made his body go numb for a few seconds making Rowan to lose balance and making him crash down on the wooden floor. Gaining back his composure and standing up he could feel his mana channeling quick and more effectively. Rowan was able to gain one of the only Mana enhancements in the whole world, the "Ring of Arch Mage, Abel", a set item which was considered best among all the items in case of Magic usage because of it having both "Mana Enhancement" and "Mana Recovery", two enhancements that was needed for recovering mana quickly and increasing control over mana. After the academic classes resumed started a cycle of going to classes, working on skills, getting used to his skills, studying into the history to find every bit of information on the God of Void and it's followers which was surprisingly very very difficult except the one book he had already found.

Then came the time for the Mid term exams. Rowan already knew all the answers because he had been studying everything with only sufficient rest, ranking 5th in the Written test, ranking 4th in the Magic test showing exceptional control over intermediate magic, ranking 2nd in Alchemy test and ranking 1st in Swordsmanship because it was the show of basics and Rowan had nearly mastered the basics of swordsmanship. Rowan was extremely carious of Aither, constantly observing him during classes and specially during the Mid terms. Then came the last Mid turn exam of the Royal Academy where everything except death was excerpted by even the Emperor and Kings of different kingdoms as they had sent their children to become warriors in the front lines and bring glory to their households and kingdoms. All students were sent into a dungeon managed by the academy, used for this test specifically and was about to have the most chaotic event of the game considering the area being very packed up as well as all students being teleported to 7 different rooms leading to the Boss room not to mention the maze. All students have a 6 hours to reach the Boss room and defeat the Boss monster to leave with one problem being during this event someone will sabotage the dungeon by the use of a berserker gem leading to many injuries and the drop out of one of the "miss fits". Among the small group of talents that got into the academy with share effort, not to mention were being treated extremely badly and were sticking together were going to lose one of the 6 members. Today is the day "Aaron, The One Handed Sword Master" would be born by injuring his hand trying to fight the monsters while nobels push him in front as a scrap goat. After not being able to adapt fast enough he gets expelled, by the time the Demon Invasion happens he has been titled one of the Legendary Swordsman on the Continent using a reversed Katana shaped blade and an odd sword style from the eastern continent. He was the one who also takes the head of the 5th General of the Demon Lord*.

I am both going to save him, introduce him to his master from the main stroy and make him an companion. Aaron having both his arms intact, support of a Dukedom and his master from the main story who I know where is because it was in the character background page. Yeah, I am about to make a monstrous swordsman and a loyal companion. Before that I need a way to save him flawlessly, not making it look intentionally done but natural, not like a nobel who is fixated on using those beneath him as their personal servants or scrap goats.

*After thinking through a plan Rowan was prepared for the next event and the main event of the Mid term exams. The Dungeon exam would go better then it was in the main stroy as well as use it as a way to kick all the useless pieces of junk of worth less nobels off the academy so that the political stress that was growing in the academy gets taken over by his incident and Rowan could relax from the political drama which was making the Royal Academy more into a political playground then a study space preparing for war against the Demon Lord. Even if he didn't want anyone growing too strong except his group and the Hero to decrease oddness, he didn't want to get his brain fried by all the gossip and political drama between nobel families*.
