The slow drops of rain tapped against the old bricks. The air was chilly, and the sky was heavy with thick clouds. At the edge of the city stood an old, dust-covered building — the 'Seth Govind Boys Hostel'.
Ten new students, coming from different towns, were ready to begin their new journey at college. They were strangers to each other, yet fate had brought them together under one roof.
They all stood in front of the old hostel where they were to live. The worn-out walls, broken windows, and signs of age were visible everywhere.
"Is this the place where we're supposed to stay?" Vishal asked quietly, his voice carrying a hint of fear.
"Yes, but I've heard some strange stories about this place," Aryan replied. His eyes showed a mixture of curiosity and fear.
The owner, Mr. Mishra, an elderly man, approached them slowly. His bent back and tired voice made the atmosphere even more serious.
"Everything will be fine here, but avoid going to the room upstairs," he said gravely. "There is something there that watches you, understands you, and… sometimes, even responds back."
The students laughed it off as a joke, but a feeling of unease had settled deep within their hearts.
That night, when everyone reached their rooms, the old wooden floor creaked softly. Occasionally, it felt as if the walls were whispering.
One by one, they slowly drifted into sleep, but in their dreams, the strange black shadow kept returning.
And so began the story of 'The Final Room' — where ten strangers would one by one become part of a mysterious darkness that no one could understand.
